If you get Asda own make WM pitta or CO Op WM pitta....these can be used as a HEB ;)

Uh-oh. Can I not use any old WM pitta as a HEB???? Please, please say I can, or I've not been doing it right for the last 2 weeks :o (surely any wm pitta can't differ too much?)

EE again today (and no pitta breads in sight :D)

    B: Pineapple, Banana, mullerlight
    S: satsuma, walkers baked (4)
L: hm watercress leek & potato soup, roasted veg couscous (1), apple
D: birds eye salmon in lemon & herb butter sauce (this is free apparently!), new potatoes, baby carrots, baby sweetcorn, green beans, sugar snap peas, skinny cow lolly (3.5), hi-fi bar(HEB)

Drinks: Tea with milk (HEA), water, sprite zero.

Off out to bingo in a bit, and will be on the sprite zero there too (no beers for me :A)

Unfortunately not :o I think other brand wholemeal pittas use oil in them, or possibly not enough fibre for them to count as a HEB

Hi All, I stay away for work quite alot and this is when I often fall off the wagon (then let it drive away before I get back on!) I usually stay in the same place, this is the menu - can you suggest the best things to eat? I tend to just have fruit and yoghurt then fruit throughout the day with a cereal bar so pretty much free to chose red, green or extra easy by the eve

    http://www.thenewinn.info/media/pdf/2011/New%20Inn%20Heckfield%20Menu.pdf

    Thanks

I'd go for grilled seabass, steak with a jacket or gammon and ask for it with potatoes instead of chips.

    Evening all
I think today is green, but I've still got time to decide!

    I've had:
    breakfast rice with a banana
    sw quiche and salad
    pineapple, strawberries and an apple

a dreadfully naughty but flipping lovely Fudge's chocolate dipped flapjack, which I'm guessing was about 20 syns.

But I didn't have any on Sunday or Monday, and haven't had any other syns today so I'm not concerned about it.

Jacket spud, cottage cheese and salad for dinner, then some pagen krisprolls with babybel light for a snack later.

Which makes it EE rather than green, doesn't it?

Oh, and 3 cups of tea with milk = another 1.5 syns, but again, that's fine!!

I don't see any meat in there, so it still would be green wouldn't it?

That way, you can use the extra HexA for the milk in tea if that is where the syns are coming from that.

Lisa26 -a SW thread bride? How exciting! I'm very impressed with your resolve st this stage of proceedings and am sure that you'll have a wonderful day, looking radiant and very pleased knowing you've done so well. Good luck with it all!

'Currygate' hits a nerve with me too. I had a day of meetings out and about today and forgot to pick my pre-prepared sin free lunch up from the fridge to take with me. So when my 1pm appointment cancelled I went and found a Tesco and looked for something relatively diet compliant. I saw a tuna layered salad - reduced in price - and thought it couldn't be that bad. There was a little sour cream dressing and some vinaigrette according to the label but it was mainly grated carrot, lettuce, plain pasta and tuna (which didn't seem oily). I tried to avoid the creamy bits, asumed that most of the vinaigrette was the watery liquid at the bottom of the tub and felt smug, assuming it would be very low syn indeed if I had an EE day.

I've checked online and they don't appear to have the exact product listed - but based on the syn calculator it's 13.5 syns! Do you reckon it could really be that bad? It certainly didn't taste like that many syns! I hadn't had any other sysns all day and was looking forward to a little kitkat but I'm not sure I dare now with my first 'on the wagon' weigh-in less than 48 hours away now.

So do I definitely count it as 13.5 syns and - since i've just discovered that Lidl's fat free fruit yogurts are 2 syns each, not free as I'd assumed, not have any treats tonight? What would you do?

Edited to add... OMG! Just been catching up on posts from the thread thus far and learned I could have eaten a fairgound doughnut for fewer syns than the website calculated that salad at!

    Thanks

I have just started with SW and finding it great, bit confusing and I do find the milk allowance quite small but other than that I think I'm doing ok. I leave work on 14 May so plan on going to class and staying on a thursday from then. At the moment I just weigh and go as it is on my way to work.
I am following the EE plan and in my first 2 weeks have lost 7lbs, I am aiming to lose 4.5 stone in total

Don't forget that you can use your syns for extra milk if you want it. It takes a couple of weeks to get your head round, but you'll be fine in no time. Well done on the loss to date :)

Thank you Consultant for the shiney new thread, what would we do without you :A:A:A:A

I have had a healthy tea [don't ask about the rest of the day :o] a BIG bowl of pineapple, melon, sliced apple, satsuma and yogurt with a meringue crushed up mmmmmmmmmm.
Now my dilema is - do I go to work tomorrow or not. I know I'm not up to it but feel guilty as have had a fair bit of time off recently through illness [begining to wonder if theres something wrong with my immune system]. I have no energy and everything I do wears me out, got my washing in earlier then had to lie down and slept for an hour.
Ok think I answered my own question, will stay home tomorrow and see how I feel wednesday :D.

You seem to do very well without me, lol.

Definitely stay home until you feel well otherwise it will take much longer to feel better IMO. Could it be you're suffering with ME or something similar?

I had a decent day yesterday whilst sunning myself in the yarden, but then spoilt it all when I took kids to the fair and had a doughnut!! Kept waking up thinking about it last night and was first thing I thought about this morning aswell. I feel such a sinner!

Back to work today aswell and I so cant be bothered, its very hard to be motivated when your self employed let me tell you, especially when the sun is shining!

Why feel bad - that's what syns are for. Enjoy your food, enjoy every single syn and then move on. There will always be temptations and you will often find them irresistable, but sometimes you will resist and the feeling of empowerment that gives you will help next time :)

When the sun is shining is the perfect time to have lovely salads, all those crunchy leaves and beautiful rainbow coloured veggies....think positive, make meal-plans and you will get to your target weight.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

As well as the sea bass or a steak you could have the ham and eggs but ask for a jacket or new potatoes instead of chips. You could have salmon and asparagus too but skip the hollandaise sauce. As you're a regular visitor I'm sure they'd be accommodating.

I find hotel breakfasts can be quite good. I generally have fruit then fill up with baked beans, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms and maybe an egg too. There may be a bit of fat in the cooking but on the whole it's fairly syn free. Some places even offer wholemeal toast.
