Hi everyone, so here i am again! I've had a bad couple of months that have resulted in lots of comfort eating and now I am weighing more than ever. But I'm here, and ready to lose some weight. I'm even joining the gym this week (after putting it off for ages!). I'm working nights this week which always helps because I feel the need to fuel myself with good food.

Morning all!! Hope everyone had a great weekend, I don't think mine went too badly (albeit, not totally to plan) Saturday is takeaway/eat out night in our house, I opted for the chicken kebab (takeaway this week) Figuring just the pitta would need to be synned. However OH decided to 'accidently' buy a LARGE Chips by mistake, so I ended up eating some of those as they smelt soooo good and I couldn't bear to see them go to waste (probably gone to my waist though!) I hadn't had any other syns that day so that wobble aside I pretty much stuck to plan, which I'm pleased with.
This thread is so inspiring, hearing everyones struggles and successes always seems to help me focus and with only 6 more WI until my hols I do really need to stay focussed. Keep going everyone. XX
Lo, if I have a kebab I rush home with it and defrost a Co-op wholemeal pitta in the microwave, then transfer all the food to that one and throw the white pitta out for the birds! (it also shows how ginormous the takeaway pittas are, less than half will fit into the Co-op one)

Have just made a saucepan full of butternut squash soup as never had it before and people say how nice it is - think it will end up in the bin as its awful. _pale_ Wont be making it again. Found it a bit to sweet and sickly. Not to worry at least we have tried it.
Billie-jo, don't bin it, stir in some spices it'll be lovely then.

I left the cream out of my curry tonight to save on syns. It was still lovely. Made too much as usual so I gave a portion to a neighbour, hopefully he enjoyed it more than the chicken nuggets he was meant to be having :D

I did have a light choices mini naan bread though (7.5), so no pudding for me tonight ;)

    Hi Guys,

I've seen some of you write about having chicken kebab and it's free, but when I searched it online, it says Chicken, doner kebab, meat only, average, small kebab - 5 syns???

So i'd have to syn the pitta bread too (7 syns for a wholemeal) and if I shared a portion of chips with hubby that's another 14 syns - totalling 26 syns!!!!

    Ouchie! Is that right?

  • Hello,Can U join this thread please?
I started slimming world last week and I think it's going ok!
I'm doing extra easy and have had 1 sin (I think) today so what can i have tonight? Over the weekend I used my sins on wine and the consultant says you HAVE to use your sins everyday.

So today I have eaten, (can someone please tell me if I have got this right as it seems so much more than what I would normally eat lol)

    Banana and muller light (free)

    Grapes and satsuma (free)

Wholewheat pasta, red onion, cucumber, peppers, sweetcorn in a fat free vinegertte dressing (free...I think?? seems too much to be free lol)

dashes of skimmed milk in tea/coffee (healthy extra a)

2 x alpen light bars (healthy extra b)

new potatoes, broccoli, asparagus, peas, sweetcorn, carrots and sweet potato with veg gravy (1 oxo and spoon cornflour...1 syn i think)

M+S strawberry fat free yougart (free)

Looking forward to 'meeting' you all

I'm so glad someone else has noticed this!

We had some at a taster/mini party for Zelda - the biggest loser and a member of our group. The bloke I sit next to warned me not to breathe in whilst eating them - it had taken him 30 mins to eat a pack the previous week because he'd kept coughing!

Perhaps that is why the sin count is so low:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: if you cough for 30 mins you're practically exercising aren't you?:A
