Morning All,
WI tonight - expecting a mahoosive gain
Didn't have fish & chips on Friday - went to a 'proper' pub instead & had pate (no soup left!) Lasagne with chips & veg & apple crumble with custard whoops! (all homemade i would like to add!)
Saturday was BIL wedding & started off well with a bowl of porridge for brekkie & a cereal bar after the church/on way to other venue :A... then had the wedding breakfast - veg soup (to die for!) roast chicken (cheesey leeks mmmm) & chocolate torte & ice-cream & then it started to go downhill!
DH said he would drive home & i wouldn't need to drive so i could have a drink  - big mistake! Started ok with couple of glasses of rose wine - but there was more on the table & no word of a lie - i reckon at the end of the night i had drunk 2 bottles of rose - 1 bottle of white - double disaranno & double sweet martini!:dance:_party_:eek::dance:_party_:eek::dance:_party_
If that wasn't bad enough - the buffet was open - got a plate of savoury stuff - just remember picking at it - wasn't hungry (full of wine? :rotfl:) but there were homemade cakes just sitting there - looking so pretty you have to have 1 or 4! :rotfl:
We also stayed till the end and started to help clear up & brides mum said help yourself to the buffet food - it will only go in the bin - so me & DH filled several bags! Even when drunk i think of the pennies :money: (wouldn't of had the white wine if it wasn't sitting on the table not getting drunk & going to be chucked away!)
So i wake up Sunday - no hangover as i never get them! :j Think to myself i need to be good - get back on the wagon - started of well with a bowl of porridge (sound familiar?:rotfl:) and went to pick up my car from MIL & got 'forced' to eat shortbread biscuits & bombay mix!
OK - no more - so we carry on with the day - go to market & shopping @ supermarket for food for guinea pigs & 'stumble' across the whoopsie isle (first place DH heads for in supermarket!:D) and find a cheese & onion quiche from the deli reduced to £1 from £5!:T
So we then go to my mums for tea - thinking i will have cheese on toast - they must have nimble in the freezer  (as brother 'does' SW) & i can weigh the cheese - nah s*d it  - had cheese on 50/50 toast - with some quiche & extra pickled onion cheese & black pudding! Then followed by some of the homemade cakes (the coconut/banana/apple/carrot cake was divine!) - everyone else had a creme egg but i was full so took it home :A - had a kip - then started watching pirates of the carribean & promptly ate the creme egg along with a bag of crisps & a frozen muller! :wall:
Needless to say i went to bed feeling sick! :rotfl:
But it doesn't stop there!
Brought in some 'magic' rice with strawberries that i had made Friday morning for work - took a mouthful - ergggg mouldy strawbs! So have no breakfast - but wait - what is that sitting in my drawer at work - some nestle oats & more - lets have that instead!
Sorry to ramble on - i feel slightly guilty & i know i will put on - i reckon it will be 4lbs - what do you reckon??? place your bets now!
Well done to everyone who is sticking to it :T - can you bottle up some will power for me please???0 -

Same here Nessie......loved your honesty!! Im sure lots of people have those days, but just wouldnt have the balls to post it all, so your one step there already.
Wow you've already lost just short of 3 stone well done you!! That sort of loss seems miles away for me.
I hope you manage to get back on track! Get some pics out of the body youd love to have and put them in your work drawer or biscuit drawer and it will make you think twice, well it does for me anyway when i put my skinny pics where I shouldnt be!
Just having punnet strawbs, a banana and a muller light for my late breakfast, then making a pan of dynarod type soup, then work! I must must work! Yes I must work, if i keep saying it, it might happen???0 -

Thanks minxtress,
I did at one point (just before my wedding in August) get to 4st 2.5lbs lost - but i have lost my way since then! i weigh more now than i did this time last year! I keep losing sight of the fact i have lost 3 stone (ish) & feel totally different to a couple of years ago!
I don't normally have things like the cereal in my drawer at work - considering i never used to have a permanent desk! (joys of the construction industry!) But it was a freebie from a show i went to a month ago - still thinking of the pennies :rotfl:
Getting way from my terrible weekend - i hear the SW magaine is out at groups now! Going to buy it & get some more ideas - need to be more organised! & i need to meal plan more & not give in to takeaways (i simply can't afford it until i get paid!)
Got butternut & lentil curry for tea tonight - either with hm wedges (if can be bother to prep when i get home before going out to SW) or rice
Any ideas of quick easy lunches that do not involve salad (i.e. green stuff!) and i can prep/cook in same time that rice takes to cook???0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Nessie :T Well done on being so honest!!! I'll put my bet on 2lbs!!
Polenta - is completely tasteless unless you add it! I make mine up with Marigold vegetable boullion then when it's set slice it very thinly and fry it (frylight of course) in a hot pan so that it crisps up a bit, the other way to have it is as a replacement for mashed potato which is good with a casserole. Pre SW I used to have it with mushroom and chestnuts cooked in red wine:drool::drool:
Today : B: polenta, mushrooms, egg ketchup (1)
S: Yoghurt, banana
L: Couscous and roasted veg with salad and cottage cheese
S: Orange, appleLeftover BNS and spinach curry with SW chips
HEB's will be saved for supper, probably Pogens and LC lights0 -
Morning all,
Well done to all the losers!
Gonna attempt to post my meal plans up for the day and would really appreciate it if you could let me know if im going wrong!
EE as normal
B - muller and banana
L - poached egg, ham, toms, toast (HEB)
D - cous cous, leftover gammon, mix veg from freezer.
S - have bananas and apples in, plus a couple of bickies as syns with a brew later. Always use HEA as milk in the copious amount of coffee i seem to be drinking!
Really want a 2lb loss this Thursday to get me under next stone
Thanks all x
I don't think you're going wrong kerry but without knowing quantities, all I'd say is the usual refrain....more superfrees! toms probably aren't enough to count as a third at lunchtime. This could be upped with your apples but I'd go easy on the bananas, one a day is more than enough. I always try to fit in a SS fruit if I can.:rotfl::rotfl:@Nessie....loved your account, so funny, only because I've been there myself.:D
Haven't we all!!;) Upwards and onwards nessie! you'll feel much better when you're back on tack.
MY EE day:
B: NAS squash, HEB Puffed Wheat, strawberries and HEA milk, tea
L: not sure, but as I can't have a sandwich probably a small jacket with cottage cheese and lots of beetroot and gherkinshuge stir-fry with Batchelors Golden Rice and tiny bit of lamb
Snacks: more fruit0 -

Yeah i buy the sw magazine from group and its got some really good tips in, and I find the losers pics really inspire me.
Ive just made a really quick soup that you could take to work if you want the recipe?0 -
Lastly, where do people get the velvet crips from and who are they made by? I often fancy a bag of crisps but cant seem to find these ones?0

Now you guys in England are heading towards summer, you can try what I did last time with polenta:
You just cook it up as normal with water, chop in a little rosemary, then when it's thickened you pour it onto a baking tray (I line mine with a silicone sheet) and pop it into the fridge to cool. When cool you cut it into pieces, and pop it on the barbecue, no oil or anything. It goes lovely and crispy with the nice black lines. Good cold later too.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070
