Hard going being happy and smiley selling holidays when Im feeling so poopy, and desperately trying to sort my own out.
Keep pretending Minx and all of a sudden you'll realise that you're not actually pretending any more - you really will be happy again
I want to lose 3.5lb this week to make my first stone so going to eat a lot of superfree and superspeed and hope for the best!
Have a good week everyone and remember, nothing tastes as good as slim feels!!
Love the attitude, you can do it :TI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
II'm stuffed, and so is DS - he just uttered the words 'don't worry about pudding mum, I'm too full'. Has anyone ever heard anything like it coming from a 10 year old boy?? It's a first (and I expect last) in my house!!! :rotfl:
I knew it was too good to be true, he's just wandered into my room and said 'actually mum, I will have some pudding'!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Had my wedding suit fitted last night, after having my measurements taken a few weeks ago - I was panicking about trying it on as suits and formal wear are always a nightmare for bigger blokes, but it fits like a glove. A whole 10 inches smaller waist size than I was 18 months ago - the hard work to drop fat before the wedding is really paying off now
One more weigh in before I get married, 0.5lbs will get me back to my target weight. It will happen.Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Evening all!
Had another starving day today - think I might have worms!
Went to watch Manchester 10K run (OH was doing it) and stood for hours in the rain with a grumpy dog - not my idea of fun!
Foodwise its been a strange one...
Breakfast - Oaty bar (B choice)
Early lunch - pasta and sauce (0.5 syns and 0.5 A choice for milk)
Afternoon - satsuma and stewed apple (B choice)
Apple (due to being starving again)
Tea - veggie fajitas - 12 syns for 2 small wraps, peppers, onions, refried beans, cheese (A choice), fajita flavouring (guess at 2 syns)
So that's 14.5 syns (loads for me), 2 B choices and 1.5 A choices
I did a sneaky weigh this morning and had lost according to my scales but will wait to see on Tuesday - bet you I haven't really:(
Off to make a packed lunch for work tomorrow (2 more weeks to half term - hurrah!) - I'm thinking Tesco Finest fresh moroccan couscous (on offer at Mr T and only 2.5 syns per half of a big pack) and the usual ton of fruit and gallons of diet pepsi.0 -
Does polenta give me anything over and above cous cous taste wise? Been reading on here that people use it, but not really sure what to do with it? Sweet or savoury etc.0

I don't think polenta has any real taste in itself, I think it's about what you have with it which I suppose is a bit like couscous. Personally I prefer couscous as it is a bit 'nutty' but each to his own. I'm sure a polenta fan will be along to speak up for it soon.;)
Good news about your wedding suit woot, are you having the full morning dress?
Synful weekend is now officially over, back 100% on plan starts now!!
Have a good week everyone!0 -
Newlywed, I've been looking at the books too. They're quite expensive on ebay, but they seem a fair bit cheaper on the book depository (bookdepository.co.uk). There's free delivery anywhere and also until the end of the month there's an extra 10% off. The code is on the home page.
Also the main book "food optimising" is discounted online at WHsmiths I noticed.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -

On the subject of cookbooks, I think that the curry cookbook is fab! as is the new Extra Easy in Minutes cookbook which came out a few weeks ago. I also like the small 100 Extra Easy days and its predecessor which also offered menu plans and recipes.
I haven't caught up with this thread but I need some inspiration and new ideas so will go back to page 1 and catch up with all your posts. I shall also try to catch up more regularly and post my menus because I really must get myself back on track. I am 11 pounds off my target weight and have been out of target for over a year. I really must turn things around. My lovely summer clothes that I bought when I was at or near target don't fit
I helpfully managed to shrink some trousers that did fit me (and of course now don't fit me any more!) and I had been pretty much living in these when I was not in the office - thankfully i still have work trousers that do fit me. this is a big wake up call for me.
I tried hard this week but it went pear shaped probably from Friday when I met a friend for lunch and her choice of lunch was a cafe that despite offering jackets on their menu, had none  and so I was left with ham egg and chips - not the best choice but I thought I could syn the chips?
Saturday was no better - I have been having those graze boxes delivered (I don't know why - it was meant to be my post weigh in treat but of course - I thought I would have just a couple of nuts and syn them except I couldn't stop at one and ate the lot! I have now cancelled the boxes!
I know from the HEB pages of my food op book that I can have nuts and was thinking I could make my own. Would there be syns if I toasted the HEB quantity of nuts in a frying pan with frylite and some spices ?
I am out today both for lunch and dinner but dinner has been planned all week and will be my last treat before I get back on the sw wagon. I dug out some old sw mags and put them in an easy accessible place for me to browse and get some new ideas.0 -
Morning all,
Well done to all the losers!
