Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - 3 pagens (B choice) and 2 LC extra light (0.5 A choice), fruit
Tea - 3 quorn sausages in a sausage casserole with mushrooms and onion and Tesco casserole mix (3 syns for half) and HM mash (3 syns for butter in mash) and tinned peas

Extras - frozen choc orange Mullerlight, maybe a glass of wine?

Ooooh, just thinking about my tea now - proper comfort food!

Well best laid plans and all that...

Went to bed for an hour this afternoon as was shattered and felt poorly so didn't manage to make tea and ended up with a pasta and sauce and a glass of wine :o So I'm on 6.5 syns for the day so far.
There'a a Muller in the freezer so will have that in a bit, hopefully that will be it for today......famous last words

:wave:afternoon all.. hello to everyone who's joined us..

Dizzy - glad MrD is ok..

This is one of the reasons I "don't do" fish.. that smell that lingers for ages after sick0022.gif my OH waits for me to have an evening out before he has fish for his tea but I can always smell it afterwards... although i do like the sound of fish pie - is it very fishy??? i can cope with cod and thats about it..

Shala, I would guess fish pie is as fishy (or not) as you want to make it, I expect there are recipes somewhere but I just pick up some chopped fish from the supermarket, labelled "fish pie fish" or something, and add a few other ingredients. HOWEVER, why force yourself to eat something you don't like?

Mostly I cook fish in the microwave, a fillet or steak of tuna, marlin, swordfish, smoked haddock or salmon. Put it into a shallow dish with a splash of water (or martini if you want to use the syns :D, cover with clingfilm or a plate, and give it 1.5 to 2 minutes maximum. Leave it for a minute. If there is still a patch that looks uncooked give it an extra 20 seconds at a time, no more. Or throw it onto the GF grill again for only a matter of minutes. But only if you LIKE FISH :D:D:D

    Hi everyone

Well today wasnt TOO bad. Walked the length and breadth of Oxford st and then went for my eyebrow shape ( body magic:D) Took the size 10 stuff back to M&S and bought a couple of vest tops in a 8 and leggings in an 8. We went to a thai place and I had a chicken cashew with butternut squash stir fry. Ive never had butternut squash in a stirfry before it was lovely! Will call this 5 syns. Loads of SF in there ( spring onions peppers carrot) plus steamed rice free and a diet coke.
Eyebrow shaping is body magic? Fab, I had mine done yesterday :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Evening all!!

Just wondering if someone could give me a rough idea of how many syns for Toby Carvery please? I looked it up online but couldn't find anything on the SW site! I had 2 tiny roasties, equivalant size of one normal one! A yorkshire, a scoop of mash and a small ladle of gravy! Enjoyed every mouthful!! :p

    Thanks in advance!

MrDizzy has just sent his mum to tell me he has had a crash in the car on the way home (I cant hear to take calls & he thought a text would freak me out)

Its an MX5 and it got a bit giddy in some torrential rain apparently leaving a roundabout, did a full spin into oncoming traffic :( hes ok but a bit shaken with some cuts/bruises & the car is unable to be towed as its wheels (or something) are snapped. so the insurance are moving it on a truck, and his bro will collect him from hosp later.

Hi, hope MR DIZZY is o.k. he's a very thoughtful MR DIZZY isn't he?, sending MIL to tell you.

Does this mean that he'll have to borrow the tank for a while?

Welcome to all newbies and well done to all losers. xx

    Morning all!
Green for me today, I know what I'm doingwith green and it's so easy for me to get confused iif I don't know exactly what I'm doing!
    So, I'm thinking:
    porridge and berries (B)
Jacket potato with beans and cheese (A)
Quorn roast, roast pots, carrotts, broccoli, possibly some gravy (2)
Got loads of fruit in for snacks, and really want to make sure I'm not eating for the sake of it today.
That leaves me with 1 A, 1 B and several syns to use. I'm sure I'll manage!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.

I made a yummy chick pea curry last night (chicken version for my menfolk). Half a Naan bread which according to the website was only 4.5 syns. The curry was SO good that I went back and ate the leftovers from the fridge a couple of hours later! (Not sure this is the right thing to do but it was virtually syn free - just one tbs mango chutney in the whole lot.) I really struggled with cravings all day though. Being out of the house is so much easier than when I'm home!

I'm heading off to stock up on syn free yogurts, frozen berries, cottage cheese and a variety of HEBs today though and we'll do an extra easy day with a really satisfying roast! I want to fit some serious exercise in this week too - determined to get under the magic stone mark but feeling static. I might pick up a SW magazine for some inspiration too. I'm not sure I've got my head round the superfree / speed thing. I've only put things with 'SS' against them in my guide on the Superfree column of my food diary. Is that wrong? (Perhaps I'll ask my consultant to look as she hasn't asked me!)

Does anyone else find that even if their hips seem to be getting slimmer their tum feels bigger? Is that just relative do you think? I feel bigger this morning, hopefully just after all those chick peas!

    Have a happy Sunday everyone.

    Morning all

Well done on those NSV everyone :T - they are great aren't they!!

Lynz -size 8!!! WOW with a super large capital W:T
Rockie -I have got to the point with my hubby where I just order his clothes -he has declared that he doesn't care what he wears :wall: -truth be told he is a cargo shorts and tee shirt fella -complete with flip flops :rotfl: -in his defence he is in uniform all week so I get where he is coming from -but I am determined to drag him screaming and kicking into THIS millenium ... I have just had some stuff come for him -as he is down from a nearly 42" waist to a 36" :T -and I even ordered some lovely 34" waists as they were on sale at £3 and it won't be long until he is in them. he is even more difficult as he has short legs and I have at last found that Matalan do trousers by leg lengths that fit :j.
Todays mission is to go through his clothes and bin his tatty stuff or he will NEVER wear the new :naughty:

Well I weighed in this morning and Im 2.5lb down and on * week -so I got my 9.5st shiney (9st 8lbs gone ). I think I will be sticking with the tweaks I made as Im really happy with the result -especially as I only paid 1 visit to the gym and had 1hr of badminton, although Im going to try and up my exercise this week

SO then -here is my red carb curfew plan for the day :-
    8am
    1/2 grapefruit
    2 weetabix (B)
    250ml semi (A)
    banana

    12pm
home made humus (B+ 0.5) -with red peppers, onion in
    42g low fat feta (A)
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    carrots
    peppers
    tickled cabbage
    tickled beetroot

    4pm
    melon
    activia
    (2.5)
    8 x 1/2 walnuts (8)
    7pm
    roast chicken
    salad
    *as above*
So I make that 2A+Bs and 11 syns covered
Right I will get off and catch up on here.. have a lovely day all and keep up the great work!!
