I am quite a fan of the Batchelors 'Pasta n Sauce' - Cheese and Broccolli normally - when I am in no mood to prepare a dinner for myself. I assumed because of the flavourings or something that these contain syns, does anyone know how many? Or because of the pasta, are they free on a green day? I could make it without the 250ml milk if it makes it any better.

Also, I have a craving for Mini Cheddars at the moment, how many syns are in a packet of these, does anyone know? I can't find them in my list of syn values for all other foods.

The Pasta n Sauce is half a syn on green and EE provided you don't use butter and milk to make it up. Mini Cheddars are 6 and a half syns per 25g bag, increased proportionately for bigger bags!

Well after my rotten day yesterday and craving chocolate, ive woke up today feeling much better and had my usual bowl of berries for breakfast with muller light. Think Im going with friends to a turkish restaurant for lunch......so god knows what that will bring to eat, but im determined to make the right choices, and got slimming world spag bol for my tea, with my sw mince from the local butchers. No alcohol again this week, thats 6 weeks now and I cant say Ive missed it to be honest, or the groggy head the next day.
    Have a good weekend all.

Glad to hear you're feeling better minxtress and going out with friends has got to be good. I'll be interested to hear what you choose in the Turkish restaurant. I'm off to Turkey on holiday in a few weeks and have been thinking how to avoid putting on too much. Turkish food can be very healthy in itself as it tends to be smallish amounts of meat (like shish kebabs) with lots of veg and salads. Unfortunately they use lots of oil and yogurt in the cooking and it's definitely not Frylight and fat free!:rotfl:Plus the bread served at every meal is incredibly moreish. I think I'm going to go for accepting I'll put weight on and just work on losing it when I get home.

I have digital weight watchers ones that are ok. I would have preferred the "doctors" WW ones I think they are the ones dizzy recommended but they were 10er more :o

Yup my WW 'doctors style' ones have been fab, they were always accurate to SW WI results ( I do have to beg MrDizzy to get them off the top of the wardrobe now when I want them as I'm not safe to be left alone in the house with them balancing on my crutches ) They were well worth the money from Argos.

Ooh Dizzy I'm so glad Mr Dizzy isn't too badly mangled, shame about the car, but at the end of the day a lump of metal can be fixed or replaced. Not so easy to do that with a loved one.
MrsM , your post made me chuckle, it sounds like mylife at the mo ........ I never seem to know what day of the week it is.
Lynz, I bet you'll look fab in those shorts.
Minx, glad you're feeling a bit better.
Takeiteasy, you sound as if you've gone back to work too soon to me, look after yourself.
Welcome, welcome to all newbies. This plan does work.

Ok, folks thanks for your positive influence on me (polishes halo) .........drum roll please ............. I had WI on Thursday and had shifted a whole 3lbs!!! My gob was well and truly smacked. I've not that much in a week for ages and ages. Plus that means I've lost 1 st since my re-join this year. I'm totally in awe of you people, I'm not sure what you did but, please, please, please do the same again for me next week

Hi all, I'm another who is doing slimming world without the expense of classes.

Got the info the other week and started it on Monday. So far it's going well - other than having to carry all my snacks and lunches to work!!

I feel like I'm eating loads, but my stomach is much less bloated. Weigh in is tomorrow so hopefully the scales will be kind.

I chose SW because of all the free food. When I'm at work and hungry I need to know things that I can pop out and buy and not wreck the weightloss with. Having a tesco express, sainsbug local and a co-op in easy reach helps. Plus Aldi is about 15 min walk away.

My biggest problem is constant snacking at work, but so far preparing my own melon, strawberries, grapes etc have made it easier this week.

I'm doing Extra Easy - just because it makes more sense and I find it easy to eat 1/3 superfree stuff.
working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?

Decided not to go for the Turkish meal, after a bad day yesterday I want to stick to target, so just going to stay home and make a sw spag bol, and go to bingo tonight armed with a tub of chopped fruit and a can of diet coke. Hopefully there'l be some spag bol left for me to have tomorrow and thats the weekend sorted. Im just going to work all day tomorrow
