*headdesk* and repeat...
Ok so I've done myself a syn injury without even remembering it (and no it had NOTHING to do with the two small glasses of PIMMS I had last night - and they were small and I didn't have loads...yay me!)
I found out that the Blue Dragon Chilli and Garlic Stir Fry sauce = 2 syns per level tbsp
I almost died!! Because that means that a packet of 120g would equate to 16 syns
Then I realised the stir fry sauces I have used have different cal measurements - so would I be right in assuming that if the sauce I use has half the cal content of the Chilli and Garlic, the syn value will be half too??
Blue Dragon Chilli and Garlic Stir Fry Sauce = 103 cal/60g = 2 syn/tbsp
Blue Dragon Oyster & Spring Onion Stir Fry Sauce = 65 cal/60g
Blue Dragon Chow Mein Stir Fry Sauce = 54 cal/60g
I think I've got this whole SW thing a bit @rse about face and should be planning my meals instead of documenting them post the event...not a happy bunny today
Any help on the syns I've already committed?
Thanks muchly
*goes back to the corner to cry*
Don't cry! :grouphug:
You can work out syn values per portion from either tablespoons, or for the percentage of the whole packet. So say the whole packet is 16 syns, and you made it for two people, meaning you ate half, your syns is 8. if a tablespoon is 2 syns that portion size would be about 4 tablespoons.
Which flavour did you have? If the calorie content is different, the syn value is likely to be different too.
From the information you have provided, I would hazard a guess that the 60g portion you have consumed would be one of the following:
Sweet chilli & garlic flavour: 5 syns
Oyster & spring onion - 3 syns
Chow mein: 3 syns.
That's based on the assumption that there are no free foods in the sauce, and 20 cals generally = 1 syn.
Not the end of the world.

So I have started today:
Breakfast: 28g fruit and fibre with semi skimmed milk from allowance
half caf coffee with milk from allowance
Snack: Satsuma
Lunch: Quorn meatballs with spaghetti, Muller Light Yogurt with a chopped up banana
Dinner: Mushroom omelette
I'm not sure if i have used my healthy options, please can someone point me in the right direction, thanks x
Hello! :j
Today looks like a green day to me (seeing as there is no meat - were you planning on any meat for tea? ) so then you would have used 1 HEB on the fruit and fibre and 1 HEA on the milk and have another HEB and HEA option left to use, as you can have 2 from each category on the red and green plans.
If you were having meat for tea and wanted to turn this into a Extra Easy day, you get one HEA and HEB and will have used them in breakfast / milk for tea, so just need to make sure 1/3rd of the plate is superfree fruit and vegSlimming WorldWeek 1 B]-7[/B Week 2 B]+1[/B Week 3 B]STS[/B Week 4 COLOR=DarkOrange]STS-3-2[/B Week 7 COLOR=Red]-1+2[/B Week 9 COLOR=Red]-2[/COLOR

I've read the first page & don't really understand - do I have to join a group? will I then get all the details to understand the plan? I don't really fancy that & also isn't it expensive? Are there any offers?
Any help please would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Hi AuntyCat (sniggers childishly because this is my nickname in real life)
You don't have to join a group, BUT the cheapest and easiest way of understanding the plan is to join a group, pay the joining fee (about a tenner I think, there are usually offers around) and have the talk from the consultant who will give you all the booklets you need, and explain everything. You'll get weighed in, and sit through your first class. If after that you think you will find going to class weekly beneficial, then carry on, (I think its £4.95 per week, less if you pay for a block in advance) and by all means use us as backup, but if not you can do it at home with us for support.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
Hi everyone - I've just found your thread & found it very interesting.
I've been yo-yo dieting for ages & nothings coming off at all now. I've never joned a slimming group before - "why pay for someone to weigh you & tell you you're fat?"
Your thread has got me interested though - I've read the first page & don't really understand - do I have to join a group? will I then get all the details to understand the plan? I don't really fancy that & also isn't it expensive? Are there any offers?
Any help please would be gratefully received.

Auntycat, go get a referral from your doctors who will pay for 12 weeks free for you, if you lose 10% of your body weight in those 12 weeks you get another 12 free. I find going to class very beneficial, but dont think I would like to pay a fiver a week if im honest. I love the free classes though as all the tips and support I pick up have really helped me along with this fab lot.0 -

yup - if you use a whole pack of sauce in a stir fry for 4 people then just divide the total by 40 -
MrDizzy has just sent his mum to tell me he has had a crash in the car on the way home (I cant hear to take calls & he thought a text would freak me out)
Its an MX5 and it got a bit giddy in some torrential rain apparently leaving a roundabout, did a full spin into oncoming traffiches ok but a bit shaken with some cuts/bruises & the car is unable to be towed as its wheels (or something) are snapped. so the insurance are moving it on a truck, and his bro will collect him from hosp later.

Hope everything is OK Dizzy? Let us know....Fingers crossed - a car can be replaced but people can't, don't worry about a chunk of metal - your lovely hubby is safe that's the important thing. Thinking of you.....
Anyway, today has been one of those days when you feel like you could eat everything in world - haven't been too bad but did succumb to 2 custard creams in the staff room - naughty teacher!
So it looks like this...
Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Mid morning - banana
Lunch - savoury rice and a satsuma (and 2 custard creams)
Tea - quorn meatballs in passata and pasta with a bit of cheese of top (A choice)
Syns - biscuit crime 6 syns (why!?), glass of wine 6 syns (just measured it in a jug - how sad!) - that's 12 so far - will try to keep it to that but not promising!0 -

Hello everyone
I've had a rotten day, both foodwise and in general (and yes, they are absolutely linked). As I work in HR I'm the company bad guy, and went to a meeting today that turned into an Annie Bashing session. I was so cross that I went and helped myself to another department's buffet (they had guests in, and to be fair they'd ordered far too much), and then had cakes in the office this afternoon. I'm now angry with myself because i'd had a 100% week up to now and my weigh in is tomorrow morning, and I really want to have lost something to give me some motivation to carry on.
So, my dreadful day has been:
Scrambled egg on toast (HEB) ketchup (1syn)
1 brie and grape sandwich
1/2 a roast veg wrap
1 choc chip cookie
about 4 mini muffins and 3 small sqares of flapjack
milk in tea (HEA, as if it matters1)
I haven't got anything much in for dinner so will pop across to Sainsbury's in a minute, but will definitely go for damage limitation rather than take the 'stuff it, I've had a bad day so might as well carry on scoffing for the rest of the day' approach that I would have done previously.
So, I'm learning to get it under control, even if it doesn'talways feel like it. I feel better for having typed it all out, and am going to go and find something super healthy for dinner and do a nice meal plan for next week.
Phew, what a day!!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0
