re MIL, she did occassionally send thinsg round if there was a BOGOF on and she had one going spare,(in the past 2-3 weeks i have had 'gifts' of ice cream, cheesecake, easteer eggs (never bought me an egg in the 10 years i have been with oh!) a bottle of baileys and i am sure theres otehr stuff too i cant recall! but they are on sw too and she doesnt eat sweet stuff anyway, so goodness only knows whats going on in her head atm!

I'm actually wondering if she shops at Tescos. Ben and Jerrys was only £2 a tub there the other week, which is so cheap for B&J that I nearly bought some for my friends kids. There was also some thing going on about the Baileys when double the difference started that if you bought Baileys at Tesco you got a coupon for most of your money back. I agree she's sabotaging your diet, but I'd just put the Baileys away for Christmas and give the rest to your neighbour.

    FRENCH ONION SOUP

Peel and thinly slice about 1 and 1/2 pounds of onions.
Heat some fry light with 1 tsp butter, add the sliced onions, a crushed garlic clove and 1/2 tsp sugar or substitute and cook very slowly for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally. Bottom of the pan should look caramelized.
Add roughly 2pts stock (I used beef) heat slowly for about an hour. Check and season accordingly.

Today am having another EE day -
    B - yogurt
L - Bacon and egg 1 rd bread (HEB)
T -Sweet chilli pork (out of this months mag) 0.5 syns
HEA is milk for tea/coffee. Syns will be sauce at lunch time and am sure will find something else :)
Fruit and yogurt and carrots to munch on for snacks.

Had the fish and chips out of the mag last night. (The one with mock batter on) It kept the fish very moist but couldnt taste the topping so will add the cayenne pepper to it next time to see if it does 'spice it up' a bit)

Thanks for the syn info on the soup - not to bad as I use it for a sauce for pasta and meatballs and its between 3 people so only 2.5 syns per serving

Just to add to the french onion soup recipe - i always put a tbsp of balsamic vinager, a few drops of worcester sauce and a sprinkle of thyme before the stock, it gives it a really nice flavour.

It sounds muh worse than it is!

Considering i hate mushy peas with a passion (think it smells of cat food!) I love mushy pea curry!

I had a dilemma yesterday - good day SW wise until i got home & DH needed me to take him to pick up car & he had decided on having a takeaway as it was his friday (no work today as needs to clean the car ready for his brothers wedding tomorrow)

So i could have gone off the rails & had a kebab with him (considering i was on a green day) but i ermmed & arhed & ended up having a chinese which i can do within syn allowance - bearing in mind i am going to wedding tomorrow - meal was a set menu & not SW friendly & mum is taking me to aldeburgh tonight for fish & chips!

So i had my chinese & whilst i was waiting i went on my exercise bike (my brother tryin to be Gillian from biggest loser :rotfl:) but then i went and ate most of the prawn crackers - whoops!

So today is a green day

B - Leftover rice from chinese (plain boiled) with ff yog & strawberries
L - Baked bean lasagne with leftover hm wedges
S - got some prepared fruit with me
D - aldeburgh fish & chips - am going to have a small portion chips (17syns?) and some fish - not eating the batter - but what size should i get to make it 1 or 2 heb? bearing in mind you can have 142g cod/haddock for each healthy extra (cooked?)

I would like to have a fibre plus when i get home whilst doing my nails for the big day tomorrow!

    So any suggestions people?

ETA: just found this on SW website

Fish & Chip Shops, Haddock in Batter, average portion, 120g small 9 14
Fish & Chip Shops, Haddock in Batter, average portion, 170g medium 13 19½
Fish & Chip Shops, Haddock in Batter, average portion, 225g large
    17 26
Fish & Chip Shops, Haddock in Batter, batter removed, average large portion, 225g serving Free 9

so if large without batter is 9 on green - would it be 1 healthy extra & 3 syns? So get a medium to have jut as healthy extra?

Thanks for all your advice on the Beefeater issue guys. Looks like I only went over my syns on Wednesday by 2.5 and I had a syn free day yesterday to make up for it :j Actually, i've only had 29 syns total so far this week out of a total weekly 70 so I don't feel as bad as I did.

    So today looks like (EE):
B - 2 weetabix (HEB) with skimmed milk from (HEA) Tea (with remaining milk from HEA)

L - Nasi Goreng (yummy SW recipe) natural fat free yog

D - Curry of some sort. Am liking the look of the SW Kofta curry

    Snacks - Banana & Apple

Drinks - tea & coffee (with milk from HEA) water & diet soft drinks.

So far syn free, but I may drink a couple later since it's Friday :D

Looking forward to my weigh in on Monday, I just hope i've lost more than the 1.5lbs I lost last week

    SK x
After 4 years of heartache, 3 rounds of IVF and 1 loss :A - we are finally expecting our miracle Ki11en - May 2014 :j

    *headdesk* and repeat...

Ok so I've done myself a syn injury without even remembering it (and no it had NOTHING to do with the two small glasses of PIMMS I had last night - and they were small and I didn't have loads...yay me!)

I found out that the Blue Dragon Chilli and Garlic Stir Fry sauce = 2 syns per level tbsp

I almost died!! Because that means that a packet of 120g would equate to 16 syns :(
Then I realised the stir fry sauces I have used have different cal measurements - so would I be right in assuming that if the sauce I use has half the cal content of the Chilli and Garlic, the syn value will be half too??

    Blue Dragon Chilli and Garlic Stir Fry Sauce = 103 cal/60g = 2 syn/tbsp
Blue Dragon Oyster & Spring Onion Stir Fry Sauce = 65 cal/60g
Blue Dragon Chow Mein Stir Fry Sauce = 54 cal/60g

I think I've got this whole SW thing a bit @rse about face and should be planning my meals instead of documenting them post the event...not a happy bunny today

Any help on the syns I've already committed?

    Thanks muchly
*goes back to the corner to cry*
