hi all, am returning to the SW fold, went 2 years ago and did well, lost 14lbs in 5 weeks, needless to say I fell off the wagon and it all went back on plus a bit more. Am also recovering from a broken kneecap so not mobile much at the moment, have sent in online grocery order for SW goody type food. Just out of interest, has any one lost weight on SW while having the maximum 15 syns each day ? I always think I should be 'good' and restrict them to 5 or 6.

There is no benefit to be had from denying yourself some treats (syns), indeed it usually means that your 'diet' is short-lived as you eventually cave in and binge. Spreading your syns out (a few each day) helps to curb any bingeing as well.

Many members ask if they can save all their syns up for the weekend, but this encourages bingeing, be it food or booze. If you have a regular evening out and will want to spend extra syns, either have a flexible syn day or count your syns as a weekly allowance rather than a daily one (ie: 70 - 105 a week). This way you can cut back to say 5 or 6 a day and have the extra 30 or so for your night out.

Incidentally, with the Extra Easy plan you are encouraged to aim for about 10 syns a day rather than the full 15, especially at the beginning when you may well under-estimate or fail to count some syns.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I have seen on here some of you guys saying about frezzing your Muller lights can someone tell me more please :) thanks xx

Just pop one in the freezer for about an hour. If you want to make a specially nice one, you can mix a couple together, freeze for a while, bring it out, stir and return to the freezer. Repeat a couple of times and the resulting 'ice-cream' will be smooth and delicious :)

It's hard to tell you how many syns is in something with no weights or amounts. Fresh mash without butter, milk etc is syn-free. If you use the milk from your HEA then it would still be free. Mustard powder is free, the ready made stuff is about ½ syn per level teaspoon.

Your peaches are around 3½ syns per 100gms and the cream is ½ syns per 2 level tablespoons.

Well been to group tonight (a day early) and lost 2lb so Im please with that, it makes 9.5 in 3 weeks. If I could 4.5 off this week, id be so pleased.
Found out theres a butcher at bottom of my street who does all slimming world sausages and mince etc so thats going to be a big help as I dont like the quorn sausages.

Hi everyone, can I join you please? :)

I can't afford to join SW meetings and another MSE member recommended I bought a cd with all the info from Ebay.

I've bought one today so I'm just waiting for it to come so I can get started.

My freezer and cupboards are heaving so I'm hoping with the SW plan I'll be able to incorporate most of the food I have as I don't want to waste it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning the tricks of the trade :D

I need to get stuck in and start reading all the previous posts :rotfl::rotfl:
