Hi everyone! Hope you don't mind me joining in with your group? I'm 24, have 3 children and need to do something with myself. Before my first daughter I was a size 8, went up to a 12 after i'd had her, went up to a 14 and then down to a 12 after my son but after having our final baby, a little girl I am now a size 16 :( This is the biggest i've ever been and i've had to buy new clothes as my old ones no longer fit me. I look at my size 12 tops and they appear like my 8 year old would fit in them - god knows how I ever did! Ideally i'd like to loose 4 stone.

I'm bursting out of my work trousers and they only ordered those for me a couple of months ago and I felt embarrassed enough asking for a 16, to ask for an 18 would make me suicidal! I also used to do a lot of glamour modelling, mainly as a hobby but also had a fair bit of paid work including promo work for car shows etc. Looking at those pictures now makes me wonder how I ever thought I was overweight then and how much i'd love to be like that now.

I've taken the first step and purchased the SW guide books from ebay (someone who only went once!). I don't actually want to go to meetings as I suffer with anxiety and it would be very uncomfortable for me being there, yet I don't want to pay huge amounts subscribing to the SW website either. I own a Wii Fit and have recently purchased Zumba Fitness (if you don't have it yet you should!) and hope that doing these daily will help with my loss. I've also started running every other day at night so no-one can see me!

Although i've read the books a million times over I can't seem to get my head around working it out. I want the easiest plan there is to follow but I don't understand how I choose what to eat and what the milk allowance is along with the HE's?

    Hey there, and welcome!!

IMO the extra easy is the easiest plan to follow as you dont have to 'food combine' - is taht the right phrase? - like on red and green.

If doing EE (extra easy) you choose i HE(healthy extra) A and 1 HE from B

I usually have milk for one of these for teas, coffees, cereals etc.

I know you say you suffer with anxienty (and i have in the past, so knwo how you suffer) but if you could msuter up the courage to go to 1 class, just once! You get the 'talk' which is so easy when it is face to face :) Take someone with you for moral support if needs be :) Obviously, if this isnt possible at the moment we will all help you understand it! I find writting it down in your own words on paper helps.

with regards to all the other foods if its free then you can eat as much as you like til you feel full. See the start of the thread, there is a brill explaination there, much better than i coudl ever give

Does the book you have have xtra easy in it? Lots of the ones on ebay dont. May also be good to look at the sw website at the 7 day menu to give you an idea

MAKE SURE 1/3 of your plate is SUPER FREE liek veg, fruits etc and you will loose weight! I have lost over a stone in 6 weeks... it is so easy to follow, and i have zero will power too!

    Any questions, please ask away!

Hello all...I didn't even know this was here and I'm over the moon about it! Hope you don't mind if I sneak in quietly...it's probably the only time I will be quiet ;-)

I've done SW in the past when I was working in London, but now I'm working locally in Kent and the pennies are a lot tighter than I'd like, so I'm 'swinging this one solo'.

I was a bit of a numpty and didn't exactly weigh myself on Monday when I started, but I have a rough idea where I was. I've got about 7 stone to lose in an ideal world, but for now I'm focussing on 1 stone at a time.

It's the snacks at work that are getting me in a tiz.

I couldn't believe how many points Ainsley's soups are...4.5 each!!!

I was ROBBED because I had two for lunch yesterday(I prefer them thicker) and could have spent my syns on something far more yummy *sulks*

    Today's menu/plan

HEA - skimmed milk for tea & coffee
B - Muller Light yogurt, apple
L - (red) tuna and salad, waitrose reduced cal caesar dressing (?syn)
D - (green) chilli noodles stirfried with courgette, mushroom, pepper, onion, soy sauce, lemon juice

Choc Digestive biscuit (67kcal) 4 syns?
Pimms and lemonade (i'll only have a small one - NO syns tomorrow eeep!)

Now to go back to page one and to read from the start...
"you say tomato...I say Bite Me" :A

My god i've had a dreadful few days. Been getting up at 4am with little uns the last couple of days and my 4yr old has really been testing my patience. During the days i've been fine, stuck to plan but come 5/6ish i just seem to loose the will to live and have been reaching for sugary carp:( the fact that its also almost my totm certainly hasnt helped either. So today i took myself off to the shops and got a huge melon, some alpen lights, wm rolls and a load of veg so i'll be back on the wagon tomoro, i promise :)

hi all, am returning to the SW fold, went 2 years ago and did well, lost 14lbs in 5 weeks, needless to say I fell off the wagon and it all went back on plus a bit more. Am also recovering from a broken kneecap so not mobile much at the moment, have sent in online grocery order for SW goody type food. Just out of interest, has any one lost weight on SW while having the maximum 15 syns each day ? I always think I should be 'good' and restrict them to 5 or 6.

Thanks for this. With this weekend being my stag night I might stick to the plan and still hit the gym, I'm sure the night of alcohol intake will counterbalance anything else...

A good stag night was had by all. Apart from the scales last night... 3.5lbs on, back out of target, and had to pay :D:rotfl:

Restricting your syns is not really advocated, it just makes you feel deprived in the long run. Having all 15 syns only equates to 300 cals, so if you cut them down the difference doesn't even add up to a 1lb over the week.

And besides, it's not really following the plan if you don't have them. Focus on being 'good' by having lots of superfree and the right meal choices, rather than limiting the 'extras'

Nearly everyone here has the full 15 syns each day, me included, and YES everyone has lost weight :D

EDA: First day of weigh in change....

    -2lbs :D

so thats my gain from last saturday demolished within 5 days :j

So, i'm back on track for a loss this week too hopefully. Fingers crossed!

I have zero every day unless I'm on a treat day (Wednesday) or an extra special occasion (my stag night, weddings etc). On Wednesdays I tend to use approximately 30 syns.

    Afternoon all!
Not had a bad day so far...although I had a meeting that was supposed to last 10 mins after school that went on for nearly 2 hours....not what you need when you're starving and dying for a wee!

    Anyway, here's today's food (green)..
Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - leftover SW free egg fried rice, banana and satsuma
Tea - jacket potato, beans and cheese (A choice)

No syns as yet but will no doubt succumb to something! Maybe an icelolly (1.5 syns), packet of skips (4 syns)? Maybe nothing (who am I kidding!)

    Evening all.
I've been trying to do Success Express today, but I'n not sure if I've done it right. Either way I've had tons of fruit and veg so I'km feelinghappy about today:
    Porrridge and banana (HEB)
    grapes
    Milk in drinks (HEA)
    2 satsumas
huge salad with quorn tikka slices and a wm pitta (HEB)
    2 more satsumas
    2 apples
And I think I'll have plain pasta with lemon juice on for dinner.

Oh, and I've also had 4 hobnobs = 14 syns. I still have 45 of my weekly syns allowance to use by tomorrow night, so I may even have another one later!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
