Well I joined my local class tonight, went and got the new booklet. Saw my neighbour so we'll go together which is good.

Also got the magazine the other night so have a few recipe ideas already but I need lunch at work recipes the most so I'll be sussing them out.
Off to have a look online now.

    :hello:Hi Folks!
Very good day yesterday, I only had 4 syns:D mind you, that could have been because I had really bad indigestion all evening due to rushing me tea!
Speaking of indigestion (not that we ever would on this posh and ladylike thread) did you know Rennies make sugar free indigestion tabs (peppermint or spearmint, I forget which) I found them the other day.
    AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Skint, you are pushing on an open door with me ... I've always worked, sometimes 7 day weeks to make ends meet, since I was 17. Yet a friend who has rarely worked (only when the govt caught up with him a couple of times, it seems to me) of the same age as me is in sheltered (free) accommodation and it is all being rebuilt - he has put in for, and got, a semi detached bungalow with TWO bedrooms and a split bloody level cooker HE NEVER EVEN COOKS. he said he thought he might as well ask. He needs the spare room to store all the crap he continues to buy, none of which he needs (newspapers about WWII?) I've told him he should get it sold cos when i start to clear out on his death it'll all be binned. It seems to me that in many cases (don't want to tar everyone with the same brush) it's the ones who have NEVER paid in who take everything out, and the hard working people are never entitled, no matter how much of a struggle it is. Sorry that is my rant over, and big big hugs for you, I wish you lived closer we could sort out some way of helping you keep things ticking over.

Our class is sometimes dull but to my mind it is the students rather than "miss" - some of them just witter on, as someone said up there, the minutiae of their days ....yawn. That's why I take a bit of knitting if I remember. The best bit is when you've been going for a bit and get to know people and they really ARE friends and you are glad to see them and sit and chat until the last dull thirty minutes :D I find I do smile a lot but oftentimes also stifle a yawn
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I have to agree that I hate the 'happy clappy' element of SW too. Our consultant ALWAYS starts with you've lost ** in total and then comes the BUT....gained X this week. I have absolutely no problem clapping the losers but I squirm and try to interrupt her when it's my turn before she gets to say her piece if I've gained or STS. On the plus side, I have made some good friends and we chat through each others weeks, swap ideas, compliment/sympathise with each other. I find that side motivating.

Must have used lots of syns at lunch today. My friend did a chicken, avocado and walnut salad in mayonnaise, tomatoes in oil with basil, new potatoes with butter followed by a HM chcolate mousse:eek: (I did have some leaves with balsamic and a few raspberries too).

I was completely on plan for breakfast and dinner BUT...

WI tomorrow, hopefully the lunch won't have had time to turn into fat.

Hi all, Well after my (almost) 100% week I have lost just 1 lb. I blew it when I had 30 + synns on Sunday but I have been doing the 30 day shred most days so I did think I might have lost a little bit more. I am not disheartened though. I have cheated tonight but I will be back to it 100% from now and see what happens next week.

Welcome back to all the returners and well done all the losers. For anyone struggling (in life or with the plan) I send big hugs. Stick at it - we all know it works don't we? xx
