Just making a big batch of dyno rod soup! Will have to have a taster bowl tonight for supper. x

ETA- Had a big bowl it was so nice. Don't know why I was expecting it to be yuck. Pureed it cuz I'm not crazy on beans texture and I'm really impressed.

Kellylea, I was also pleasantly surprised with Dyno rod soup. DH was very sceptical when it was cooking but then had it without any moaning :)

Of course you count it! Not that I'd recommend being ill but a loss is a loss! Well done to all losers including Braders and Mrs Braders in their first week.

:grouphug: nessie, I know just how you're feeling. I adore guinea pigs but vowed 'no more' after the last one.

Kellylea, parsnips are free but not superfree so you don't need to syn them. They just don't count towatds your third SF.

MQ, I don't really know about whether veg is better than fruit but our group was told that too many grapes and bananas is not a good idea. As for eating loads, I know it's a problem if you don't eat enough and everyone says the beauty of SW is that you're never hungry. I should just hang on in there. Some people just lose more steadily. I lost my 3st over 9 months by averaging 1.5lbs a week (with a little slip every time I went on holiday:o).

I've done my best today but I know I'm over syns for the week due to socialising. I ended up going out to lunch unexpectedly. I did my best, drank water but the wine and sorrel sauce on my fishcakes tasted very buttery:o mmmmmm!

    EE menu:
B: NAS squash, beans, bacon, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: salmon fishcakes, new potatoes, spinach, synful sauce
D: banana sandwich, plate of stir-fry veg (needed to keep SFs up, you don't get many in restaurants!)

    Syn free tomorrow - promise!!

    Hi everyone
I just started SW on Saturday.

Unfortunately my lovely hubby got taken into hospital today with suspected appendicitis so I've had to grab what I can, when I can!!!

Anyhoo Mr T delivered our groceries tonight and we now have plenty of free food.

My problem at the moment - apart from poorly hubby obviously - is that I LOVE bread and on the Extra Easy, I don't have a lot of options. Any ideas?

Right off to scoff a mullerlight before bed.

    JM
Hello and welcome. Sorry to hear about your hubby, hope he goes on o.k. You can always synn some bread from your allowance. Good luck with the plan, it really works. x
  • Well the first week of SW lead to the first weigh in, I have lost 3lbs and the wife 4lbs, we are both happy with that, so happy that we went to a Thai food Festival on the sunday and we did eat some very nice food..

Still we are doing well and finding it pretty easy so far.

Great first week for you and Mrs Braders - keep up the good work x

WI last night and had lost another 2lbs! That makes 4 stone 31/2 in total! Dead chuffed with that!

No idea on food today cos the electrician is coming this afternoon - a switch in the kitchen was making 'fizzing' noises on monday - OH has switched it off and removed the fuse. Fingers crossed that it is not going to be a long/expensive job!

    Well dinner was lovely!
Quorn chilli, rice, cheese(A + 3syns), salad and spicy potato cubes which were a last minute addition.
I had a real craving for potatoes so chopped up 3 into cubes and chucked them in my actifry(LOVE my actifry), with some frylight and a little too heavy handed shake of schwartz season all. They were lovely if a little too salty from the seasoning, need to be careful with that next time!

Oooh can you use the actifry with just frylight not oil?

I've had that before, it's probably just a wire thats come lose and is causing a bit of arcing, shouldn't be a big job I wouldn't think.

I have had a green day as usual but have tried to include more protein instead of carbs as I don't think they were helping

    BF: Weetabix(HEB) with SS Milk(HEA), 6 almonds(3), 1 banana, 1 apple
Lunch: Mushroom and Lentil Loaf (HEA for cheese), half a melon, 1 kiwi, handful of grapes
Dinner: Two egg omlette with onions, tomatoes as the filling with veg salad(spinach, carrot, cucumber), a tbsp of tomato ketchup(1)
    Snacks: SW flapjack(HEB with 1.5 syns), 1 nectarine, 1 plum, 1 pear
Tea with total 75ml of SS Milk(2)
    2 HEA, 2 HEB, 7.5 syns

DH thinks the reason, I am not loosing any weight is because I am eating much more than I used to pre SW and I am consuming lots of fruit (full of sugar) and I should replace it with more vegetables.

What does everyone else think? Do you think you loose more weight when you eat more veg instead of fruits as superfrees?

    MQ

Your DH seriously thinks that?!!!! I dread to think how little you used to eat then!!! I'd starve on what you're eating!! If I had the same menu I'd also have some salad at lunch with the lentil loaf and some potato or something with the omlette. Try not to fall into the trap of adding protein but then cutting out all your carbs, you need some of both!! I bet if you worked out the calories you'd find they are VERY low!! I know sw isn't about calorie counting but it is important to make sure you eat enough.

    Morning all!
Had a busy morning so far - the blind man (not with a guide dog!) has been to fit the blind in the office/guest room so its all finished now.:j I've taken the dog to the park and popped to get printer ink on the way home. I have to clean the whole house today becaase my mum and sister are coming for a few days tomorrow. At least its a bit of exercise!

Yesterday was ok food wise - no big slip ups.
    Today's food will be...
    Breakfast - banana
Lunch - dried noodles with lashings of soy sauce (simple but yummy), fruit
Tea - jacket potato, beans and cheese
    Snacks - fruit and yoghurt

With visitors for a few days the food situation usually slips a bit but I will try to make better choices and not go berserk!

    Right, cleaning calls!

Of course you can. I give it a good spray, then halfway through another quick spray. They turn out lovely.

Can't decide whether to do green or EE today? Having chicken for dinner, might have the chicken as a B choice or syn some so I get my extra A?

Have had a coffee and some grapes so far, will have breakfast soon, will post a proper meal plan in a bit.
