  • Well the first week of SW lead to the first weigh in, I have lost 3lbs and the wife 4lbs, we are both happy with that, so happy that we went to a Thai food Festival on the sunday and we did eat some very nice food..

Still we are doing well and finding it pretty easy so far.

Hello I'm new! I've done slimming world a few times in the past first time I lost over a stone and the other two times it was baby weight and I didn't stick to the plan very well but lost it anyway eventually.

I am now carrying about 7lb of baby weight from my 8 month old daughter and I'm ready to shift it as I've just got engaged and booked my wedding for 2012.

I'm new to the Extra Easy days so hope I am following it correctly but I do find them great being able to mix red and green foods. I've also purchases my first two packs of scan bran this week and demolished them. Absolutley loved them. I'm a fan of ryvita too tho. Had them as healthy extras.

So I weighed in last friday and had a sneaky weigh this morning and so far I've lost a lb. If I could lose another lb by friday I would be over the moon.

    Todays menu- EE

    Breakfast- weetabix (b+half a)and a banana
Lunch- Pasta, ham, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and quark. Bowl of fruit.
Dinner- Tuna and egg noodles with stir fry veg. Bowl of fuit and sugar free jelly.
Coffee with other half of a extra and sweetener.

Question about EE, the 1/3rd of my plate I have to fill with superfree food is this only fruit and veg or can it be eggs, yoghurt, etc??

Eggs and yogurt are not superfree so the third of your plate must be filled with superfree fruit or veg (ie any except for potatoes, sweetcorn and peas. Not sure about parsnips, I can never remember if they're superfree or not!!)

    Well dinner was lovely!
Quorn chilli, rice, cheese(A + 3syns), salad and spicy potato cubes which were a last minute addition.
I had a real craving for potatoes so chopped up 3 into cubes and chucked them in my actifry(LOVE my actifry), with some frylight and a little too heavy handed shake of schwartz season all. They were lovely if a little too salty from the seasoning, need to be careful with that next time!

Just making a big batch of dyno rod soup! Will have to have a taster bowl tonight for supper. x

ETA- Had a big bowl it was so nice. Don't know why I was expecting it to be yuck. Pureed it cuz I'm not crazy on beans texture and I'm really impressed.

    Morning All,

WI yesterday and gained 1/2lb - but with the day i had i couldn't care less!

They say things happen in 3's don't they?

I got stung by a wasp on my finger during the day (which promptly got diposed of!)

Then i took my lil man to the vets (guinea pig if you didn't know!) and i had to make the decision to put him to rest - he had tumours & the vet did suggest to give him a steriod injection to reduce the tumour but whilst she wa out of the room he plonked himself on the table and wouldn't get up - his eyes told me he was in pain and didn't have the energy to stay with us

I am getting choked up just writing it down - i should know these things happen and in a funny kind of way i should be used to it - i have lost 7 in total now over the last 2 1/2 years - but he was only 3 1/2 so a young age for a guinea

So didn't have a good day - ruined it food wise - but i really didn't care - am back on it now though with the extra motivation cos i was voted Slimmer of the Year by everyone - even though i have put weight on recently they said i inspire them - which is a really good boost - didn't help when they gave me flowers though - nearly started crying - but managed to hold back until i got home!

We also had a taster session & i took in mushy pea curry & pickled onion soup - which everyone was plesantly surprised by as they sound yuk lol

A lovely couple brought in a thai chicken curry & their actifry with chips! Other people made little buns & things which was good

So i am back on track today

    Green as usual

    B - Bran flakes & banana (hea & heb)
L - Pickled onion soup with pasta
    D - Mushy pea curry & rice
S - Velvet crunch (4) Fibre plus bar (heb) milk in coffee (hea) and possibly digestive cereal bar (6.5 & worth it!)

Zumba tonight - done a class on saturday followed by a pump session (with bar & weights - which involved alot of squats & lunges & general weight lifting!) which killed me & i still ache - yesterday i could barely it down properly!

Sorry for the long waffle - just need to get it off my chest!

    Thanks for listening!

Awww Nessie big big hugs for you, and congrats on the SOTY flowers too x
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    nessie216 hugs

I have had a green day as usual but have tried to include more protein instead of carbs as I don't think they were helping

    BF: Weetabix(HEB) with SS Milk(HEA), 6 almonds(3), 1 banana, 1 apple
Lunch: Mushroom and Lentil Loaf (HEA for cheese), half a melon, 1 kiwi, handful of grapes
Dinner: Two egg omlette with onions, tomatoes as the filling with veg salad(spinach, carrot, cucumber), a tbsp of tomato ketchup(1)
    Snacks: SW flapjack(HEB with 1.5 syns), 1 nectarine, 1 plum, 1 pear
Tea with total 75ml of SS Milk(2)
    2 HEA, 2 HEB, 7.5 syns

DH thinks the reason, I am not loosing any weight is because I am eating much more than I used to pre SW and I am consuming lots of fruit (full of sugar) and I should replace it with more vegetables.

What does everyone else think? Do you think you loose more weight when you eat more veg instead of fruits as superfrees?
