    Thanks Cosultant :A

I definitely need to make changes to my meals. I am going to add more protein to my diet. Hopefully I will also be able to report losses soon.

    Meals for today

BF: Weetabix with SS Milk, a banana and an apple (1 HEA and 1 HEB)
    Lunch: Dyno rod soup
Dinner: 4 ryevita with mushroom, spinach and fromaige frais filling (HEB)
Supper: SS Milk (HEA) with SW flapjack (I added 20 almonds making it 1 HEB +1.5 syns or 7.5 syns in total)
Snacks: 1 kiwi, some strawberries, blackberries, half a small melon, handful of grapes, 1 pear, 1 plum

    2 HEA, 2 HEB, 7.5 syns

    Meal Plan for tomorrow

BF: Weetabix with SS Milk, a banana and an apple (1 HEA and 1 HEB), 6 almonds (3)
Lunch: Mushroom and Lentil Loaf (HEA), 1 kiwi, half a small melon, handful of grapes
Dinner: omlette with a tbsp of oat bran for fibre, served with veg salad
Supper: SW flapjack (HEB + 1.5 syns)
    Snacks: 1 pear, 1 plum, 1 nectarine

Another weigh in and another miserly 1lb loss. I just don't get it. I was so good again...and even did a fair bit of exercise. Has anyone else had sucha slow start? Especially if thry want/need to lose a fair amount. I thought the first stone would fall off...but it hasn't picked up yet.

Apart from one meal which wasn't slimming or healthy, I have been really good this week and 'maintained'! Lost nothing.
A total of 2 and a half pounds in 3 weeks has convinced me that this isn't the diet for me. WW didn't work either.
It's back to Celebrity Slim for me because I have no problems with that and lose weight fairly easily. I think it's the strict regime type of diet which I find so much easier and which produces results.
Two shakes, some fruit and a meal is less hassle than ploughing though pages of food deciding what I can eat and in what quantity.
I know CS isn't a forever diet but I just need to shift some which I gained when I gave up smoking in March.

    copperjar,

I am in the same boat as you. Have been having measly losses if any at all. I think we just need to persevere and may need to have more variety in the food

    Good Luck

Thanks guys. Good to know I'm not alone (well, not good..its not nice when this happens!). I'm wondering if I need some variety as well, I tend to stick with very similar meals. I'm averaging 1lb loss per week which is still a loss, but its just so slow. And this week I did loads of exercise and still nothing! Its driving me mad! I'm hoping all of a sudden my body might realise what its supposed to be doing and one week I might have a great big fat loss.
    Still waiting for that though....

  • Hi everyone
I just started SW on Saturday.

Unfortunately my lovely hubby got taken into hospital today with suspected appendicitis so I've had to grab what I can, when I can!!!

Anyhoo Mr T delivered our groceries tonight and we now have plenty of free food.

My problem at the moment - apart from poorly hubby obviously - is that I LOVE bread and on the Extra Easy, I don't have a lot of options. Any ideas?

Right off to scoff a mullerlight before bed.

Sorry to hear about your DH, jm. I think you're doing well to be thinking of the plan under the circumstances.:T

The only way you can have 'lovely' bread on the plan would be to [STRIKE]waste[/STRIKE] use your syns for it. If you really, really love it then that's up to you.

If you miss it because of missing toast/sandwiches in your meals then I recommend WW Brown Danish. You can have 3 slices a day on EE. I generally have 1 at breakfast with beans/egg/tomatoes etc then keep the other two for a sandwich at lunchtime. If you toast it (even for the sandwich) it helps to give it some substance.

It is important to have variety though so about two days a week I have cereal/porage for breakfast then I have a JP or pasta or rice with my lunch instead.

    Good luck.

    Morning All,

WI yesterday and gained 1/2lb - but with the day i had i couldn't care less!

They say things happen in 3's don't they?

I got stung by a wasp on my finger during the day (which promptly got diposed of!)

Then i took my lil man to the vets (guinea pig if you didn't know!) and i had to make the decision to put him to rest - he had tumours & the vet did suggest to give him a steriod injection to reduce the tumour but whilst she wa out of the room he plonked himself on the table and wouldn't get up - his eyes told me he was in pain and didn't have the energy to stay with us

I am getting choked up just writing it down - i should know these things happen and in a funny kind of way i should be used to it - i have lost 7 in total now over the last 2 1/2 years - but he was only 3 1/2 so a young age for a guinea

So didn't have a good day - ruined it food wise - but i really didn't care - am back on it now though with the extra motivation cos i was voted Slimmer of the Year by everyone - even though i have put weight on recently they said i inspire them - which is a really good boost - didn't help when they gave me flowers though - nearly started crying - but managed to hold back until i got home!

We also had a taster session & i took in mushy pea curry & pickled onion soup - which everyone was plesantly surprised by as they sound yuk lol

A lovely couple brought in a thai chicken curry & their actifry with chips! Other people made little buns & things which was good

So i am back on track today

    Green as usual

    B - Bran flakes & banana (hea & heb)
L - Pickled onion soup with pasta
    D - Mushy pea curry & rice
S - Velvet crunch (4) Fibre plus bar (heb) milk in coffee (hea) and possibly digestive cereal bar (6.5 & worth it!)

Zumba tonight - done a class on saturday followed by a pump session (with bar & weights - which involved alot of squats & lunges & general weight lifting!) which killed me & i still ache - yesterday i could barely it down properly!

Sorry for the long waffle - just need to get it off my chest!

    Thanks for listening!
