A Slimmer Summer with Slimming World

Hello
I'm really tired today, been asleep most of the afternoon and now I've got loads to do in a short space of time as I'm going away for a few days tomorrow.
I went out to Toby Carvery with DS last night - couldn't be bothered to make food, and as I couldn't afford to go on holiday this year (other than to my mum's tomorrow) I took some money out of my savings so we could have a few meals out this week while I'm off work. I didn't go mad, but I ate a proper dinner and then half a pud. Ok three quarters of a pud.
Green here today:
Toast with sliced banana on (b)
Jacket sweet potato
watermelon
yog
Pasta with tomato and olive sauce (1 for the olives)
Hmm, need an a and haven't got any milk in, will maybe have a small cheese sandwich now cause I'm quite hungry.
It's my birthday tomorrow so I will be having the day off plan, and am hoping to have a cream tea in Devon. I'm also planning to go for a long walk along the Tarka Trail and then to play on the beach with DS so hopefully the sea air, body magic and my happiness at being in the place I love the most will do positive things to my waistline!!!
Btw - my weight loss is really slow, and I've considered giving up several times but I've lost 15lbs now, and if it takes me a year to get to target, so be it, at least i'll get there. Adding exercise really does help, and it's better to get there slowly than really quickly - less chance of saggy skin!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Thank you sooo much FutureCooper for your kind words. Encouragement helps so much. And confused, I know you're right but I find that my life gets in the way (meals out) but if I didn't let it I'd soon give up altogether. I'm upping the SF/SS this week and have just been for a walk to increase Body Magic.I am exactly like this atm as well although i am a long long long way from target :rotfl:
I have never measured my milk
I never normally write things down
I have nearly always used to use all my syns up each day & was losing at a steady pace
However, for some bizar reason i have been losing weight really slowly & weeks when i have been 100% & wrote things down & only lost 1/2lb!
I suppose, thinking about it, even a half pound loss is really good. If we are eating "healthy" and "normal" meals we shouldn't put on or lose weight at all should we? I don't think cavemen were overweight though I've not seen any photoswhat I'm trying to say is, half a pound loss is GOOD. See my avatar there on the left, that is half a pound of fat and skin that I pulled from a chicken and weighed. If you lose that much in a week you have to wonder why there's not a trail of grease behind you (or maybe it's just me that wonders that).
Having said that, if you have INCREASED by half a pound this week DO NOT LOOK AT MY AVATAR. I put on twice that much last week.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Hi all,
Happy Birthday for tomorrow Annie G, hope you have a lovely day!
Maman sorry to hear your feeling down, I know how you feel though, its so frustrating trying to lose the last few pounds, especially when I do, I go and gain it again!
It is important to keep remembering our size before we started the SW way, and how well we have done. Go and find yourself a pair of trousers you used to wear, and put them on, I would do the same but they are all in the loft, but I would love to!
I had a binge weekend and had a sneaky look on the scales and have put on about 3lbs I think, I am practically on 11stone mark, I am gutted, but its my own fault, I only have me to blame. But boy, did I eat loads lol
I also wanted to share with anyone who is considering making the baked bean lasagne, DO IT, i made it on sunday and have eaten it and it was lovely :-) I am back on track now, well for the next few days, will be out all day Friday so will have to be as good as possible with were we end up eating, and the following weekend will be having a kfc, but will not eat the skin but will be eating some chips. I am hoping my pig out will help with a boost and kick start the weight loss again, but who knows, I will keep you all informed0 -
Evening all, two things: 1. All the talk about avatar - how does a novice computer user look at avatars? I know I'm a numpty but I've looked to the left of the screen and seen nothing!!!!
2. Completely different topic: Anyone been to Aunty Betty's Tea Rooms in York? We are staying in York (courtesy of Tesco Rewards) and have heard that the tea rooms are great. Any comments gratefully received. I will obviously be saving my syns if I go!!!!! x0 -
can i confess to eating about 6 or 7 flumps anda freddo tonight
it was stress food - watching the news and hearing all the police sirens going past
my actual dinner was healthy though - jacket potato with beans and cheese.
also put a veg casserole on with quorn frankfurters in0 -
Thanks for the encouragement
Another week, another chance to have a good loss. I think if I could just get a healthy 2-3lb loss in this week, it'd give me such a boost! Found my old SW book and I used to have a good loss one week, not so good the next. So far I'm just at the "not so good" weeks all the time![STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -

1.I think this should work confused: go into UserCP at the top of the thread. Click on 'Edit Options' on the left then scroll down to the display sections and click on the 'show/display' avatars box. That should do it.
2. I've not been to that one but I have been to Betty's in Harrogate. That's become a bit of a national institution with people queueing to get in. You'll need to save loads of syns if you have the full works as there are proper sandwiches, scones and cakes on offer. But you don't have to have them all!!;)
I got the munchies this evening (often do when we have stir-fry for dinner) and although I effectvely had an exta meal it was perfectly SW friendly. I cooked up a sort of bubble&squeak with LO veg from yesterday, sprinkled liberally with Worcestershire sauce and also ate half a large melon. Oh and I had 3/4 of a syn:D Decided to have straight-to-wok noodles instead of rice with dinner but at 1.5 a pouch, shared it with DH, that's not likely to be a problem.0 -
