A Slimmer Summer with Slimming World

NESSIE I have found that the facebook pages for items for sale are really good. I have sold a few things and they always go quite quickly. Just type in "Items for Sale in (your local town or area)" and post your items. You can put 'photo's if you are clever but I'm a bit of a techno dummy so didn't manage that - good luck. x0

I'm feeling a bit:(this morning too. I looked at my book and haven't really lost much in two months, it's all been about getting back to where I started after my holiday. I would be OK size-wise if I stayed just as I am now but I really want to get to target (2.5lbs) and maybe a little more. It's just so frustrating! BUT I WILL stick with it and hope scales are kind this week.
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS squash, beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, pear
L: sandwich (tomato & cucumber?), satsumahuge stir-fry with Batchelors Golden rice
Syns: NONE!
Snacks: may start on a huge melon;)
maman, you have been such a great help to others, now be a friend to yourself! You have taken a huge journey and come so far . . . . so its only a few pounds and if you are happy with what your clothes feel like on you, isn't that important too?!
The thing is with any weight loss program its all about the weight loss and not enough on about feeling good in your skin, having a healthy BMI etc etc. You have done amazing. Pat yourself on the back and be happy to maintain that loss. Your a slimmer star, believe it hun. xx0 -
Copperjar - I feel so much like this! I've recently re-joined SW (3rd time lucky!) and previous 2 times I lost the weight quite well, but now it's so so slow! Having said that, I think that first time I cut down from FF milk to Semi and from butter to LF marge and FF to LF yoghurts. 2nd time, I went to Skim milk and mullerlight yoghurts (as well as loads of fruit and veg each time!). So for me, I think becauseI can't go down any lower on those things, each day is more of a challenge to find more healthy eathing plans. I also think that because I never actually set myself a target weight before, once I felt good about my size I left. I didn't actually stay good for very long but drifted back into the biscuit box quite easily because I didn't have the focus of group weigh in.
This time, I'm more hopeful (older and wiser!) that the weight will stay off. I've a friend who has lost 3st+ and is staying to class so I will have a SW buddy - which I'm sure will help me too.
Keep on with it Copperjar, I'm sure you will soon find the benefit and my consultant says that if you lose it more slowly, it should be easier to maintain rather than a quick loss.
Onwards and downwards to us all!0 -
Well, am I a lucky girl??!!
3 more workmen in the house today - the decorator rang last night to ask whether he could come earlier than planned (Tuesday) but actually turned up this afternoon! They've done all of teh prep and undercoat today and are coming back tomorrow to finish it all off - 4 of them.
The neighbours will start to talk!! That's 7 strange men in my house in the past couple of days - perhaps I should invest in a red light!
Food wise hasn't been too bad so far and I will get my kitchen back in an hour or so and can cook tea - so no excuses today!
Breakfast - banana
Lunch - tuna sandwich (B choices) and small bag of crisps (6 syns)
Tea - am thinking sweet and sour quorn and rice, will see how I feel later
Right there's a man hoovering upstairs (something that has never happened before:rotfl:) so I'd better go and investigate and I think they're off soon!
Its all so exhausting........;)0 -

Thank you sooo much FutureCooper for your kind words. Encouragement helps so much. And confused, I know you're right but I find that my life gets in the way (meals out) but if I didn't let it I'd soon give up altogether. I'm upping the SF/SS this week and have just been for a walk to increase Body Magic.0 -

Looks like you may be eating like a target member. i.e, extra HE'B, what do you think maman? Could it be that?Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -

No, it's not the HEBs. The bread is WW Brown Danish so I have a slice with breakfast and then 2 for a sandwich. I have always averaged my syns through the week so it's usual for me to have extra at the weekend and then none on Monday to balance things. I will admit that I don't go 100% by the book (the syns and measuring milk by eye) but don't make huge tweaks to the plan. I think it's ust slowing up as I get so close to target.
Thanks so much for trying deedee, I'm feeling all fuzzy to receive such good support from the thread.0 -

I am exactly like this atm as well although i am a long long long way from target :rotfl:
I have never measured my milk
I never normally write things down
I have nearly always used to use all my syns up each day & was losing at a steady pace
However, for some bizar reason i have been losing weight really slowly & weeks when i have been 100% & wrote things down & only lost 1/2lb!
Lets hope a week with extra exercise & not writing it down & having all my syns will kick me into gear!
What is the plan for everyone this week then? Extra superfrees? Extra exercise?
Mine will be not eating syns after 9pm at night this week - wonder if it will make a difference?0 -
Just put a syn free lemon mousse on the recipe thread
You can easily switch lemon with limes or even white choc options? Haven't tried swapping, but will at the weekend when i have time!0
