Hello all. There's a funny smell around here - could it be the green DIZZY? As Mamon says Dizzy you are so brave, I hope all goes well with you. Almost forgot (not really) HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on getting your 3 stone shiney. You really deserve it.

I am really trying to stick to plan this week and not doing too badly so fingers crossed for Wednesday evening.

    xx
  • i heard this great way of not sabotaging my whole week because i have a bad day or 2!! -

Imagine each meal as a flower in a vase (21 flowers equals 21 meals we have in a week) and if we have a 'bad' meal or 2 and go off track then just remove that 1, 2 or even 3 flowers from the vase. then carry on with the rest of your slimming week. You wouldn't throw the whole vase of flowers out just because 1 or 2 flowers had died!!

So every time i go out for a meal or have a snack i shouldn't (today is a great example as i synned a gorgeous shortbread from Starbucks, the butter taste was amazing!!) i chuck out the flower and still admire the rest left in the vase.

    todays plan looks like this:
    B - 2 w/meal toast, poached eggs (B)
    S - skinny capp (A) shortbread ???
    L - w/meal pitta (B) mushroom pizza, cheese (A), fruit
D - Pasta, loads of veg in HM sauce
    S - fruit

    The visions that evokes :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Considering its Saturday, I've had a very good day food wise:
    B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
Snack - fruit salad, onken, brioche [from Aldi, worked out about 6.5 unless anyone knows different]
L/T - lo pasta bake [1.5a cathdral lighter] [b philly light with garlic & herb] bbq sauce [1]
Snack - fruit salad, onken, probably have skinny cow later [4.5]
    Syns - 12

Loads of fruit today and my tummy is grumbling so better keep the loo free later . I am pleased with myself as been to mums and usually we eat all her sweets between us, but I ignored them even though they were liquorice allsorts which I love :A. Son and I walked there and back, we picked some wild plums for crumble tomorrow as well. I am suffering now though as legs are killing me :( but must be worth it in body magic:A.
Hope the scales are kind tomorrow.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Good evening my skinny friends
I'm shattered today, took DS swimming and although it wasn't proper swimming - i.e. no lengths, it took it out of me and I had to have a snooze earlier. I'm really looking forward to an early night tonight.
    Green for me today:
puffed wheat and skimmed milk (a and b)
couscous with various additions, grilled halloumi light (a)
sw chips, egg and beans which I am REALLY looking forward to
    melon and yog for pud.

I've got some nice elderberry pop in the fridge so might have a glass of that, will have to google for the syns.

    happy saturday all xx

Thanks for all your supportive comments - it's so much easier to talk to you all than at class. At class I am non-committal.

you should check what a local ironing service would charge and then use this info to get a raise x
Ha! She gave me £20 this time, she must have "heard" my mutinous thoughts. In all fairness, I do love ironing (weird I understand) and she is a friend, and to be honest I really DON'T need the money as I am on a good salary plus my OAP pension (!) but she is a high-up army wife and can well afford a tenner (or even 20!)

    Good morning Ladies

Blackers I think taking this next few days as 'you time' is a great idea to get yourself back into a happy state of mind,oregonian_winesmiley.gif but I do agree with TIE.... don't be so hard on yourself hun :A you've done amazingly well, and have just hit a 'stagnant patch' which happens to the best of us x x I would offer you a Dizzy Hug at this moment......but seeing as I havent been able to shower since Thursday - you could say I'm in a bit of a stagnant patch myself :rotfl::rotfl: SEVeyesC08_th.gif
When I had a broken ankle and the shower was an "over the bath" type I managed with frenetic use of baby wipes for 6 weeks! Honest! Didn't wash my hair either, though friends found it hard to believe.

That's reminded me, I was going to look into making Elderflower Champagne the SW way. The real way involves lots of sugar, plus water, lemons and limes and of course elderflowers. I was going to try making a small amount using sweetener. I doubt if it would get fizzy like it does with sugar but would still taste good I think. Anyway, too late this year, the elderflowers were out two months ago :rotfl:

Well, I've tried to be wicked today, and I managed (sorry for mentioning these things, I hate it when other people mention tasty yummy synful stuff) - a peppermint aero when I filled up with petrol; a pork stuffing & apple sauce AND CRACKLING  wholemeal bap, but I left most of the bread anyway, but the crackling with DIVINE. I ate it outdoors though which must count for something in the calorie-burning line, especially as a dodgy woman slid onto the bench alongside me, leaned right into me and murmured "Where's the nearest toilet?" I told her it was in the library across the garden. She said she'd just come from there. She was breathing on me, she was so close. I said "Well that's where it is" and she finally slithered away :o. I do seem to attract 'em. Right, so with the bap I had a bottle of water and ...erm... a caramel slice. Then I went grocery shopping and dammit the whole bloomin basket was healthy as hell. The only slightly bad things was a mutlipack of Sunbites crisps and even they were in the "healthier crisps" section, 6 syns a pack. I'm sure it used to be easier to be a pig than it is now. My conscience has come out of a very long retirement.

Breakfast had been a giant bowl of fresh mango, frozen raspberries and kiwi, with yoghurt. Tea was a gigantic stirfry of baby corn, red and yellow peppers, ginger, garlic, chilli, courgette and beansprouts, with sesame oil, soy sauce and oyster sauce, and a piece of grilled salmon, and now I'm noshing some figs (semi synful) and I've roadtested the new Muller passionfruit and mango yoghurt, frozen. Very nice.

I will see if I can be better at being bad tomorrow.:rotfl:

  • Right I've lurking for so long now I thought it was about time to post.

I'm 3 and half stones over weight and I'm going to join my local SW on Tuesday night. Just a bit of advice needed. I'm on job seekers allowance at the moment so i need to eat very cheaply. I'll be doing my big shop at Asda. Any tips on what I should be filling my trolley up with to get me started, you know the type of stuff to fill my store cupboard or freezer with that's handy to have in to rustle up cheap and easy meals ( I'll be doing the EE plan).

Also I love a sugar in my brews up would rather save my syns for other stuff. Anyone know of a good sweetner that tastes as close to sugar as you can get. I hate that 'sweetner' taste.

    Thanks in advance :-)
