now all i need to do is soak them all tonight so i can make something with them all tomorrow for the freezer

As far as I know it's only the lentils & lentil soup mix that you just rinse and add to the soup. The red beans and others you will have to soak and cook first. But you don't have to make chilli or whatever yet if you don't want to. I cook them and freeze them (mostly butter beans in my case) in portion sizes then you can add them to casseroles, pasta salads etc.

Sorry for the mega post but needed to get it off my chest :o.

TIE, that sounds like the meal from hell! Don't you just hate it when school holidays come around and you see parents making such a mess of looking after their own children? If you were to let that sort of mayhem go on at school, they'd be complaining straight away.

:T:T:T to dizzy on your 3st shiny, and well done for getting to WI after your stressful day.

This week is going to be a mixture of good days and bad days and there's not much I can do about it other than turning into a recluse and refusing to socialise with anyone. So I'm just going to stick at it and I know those last few pounds will come off eventually.

    My EE menu for today:

B: NAS squash, bacon, scrambled egg, tomatoes, HEB toast, HEA milk with teas
L: ham & cucumber sandwich, pear
D: gammon, new potatoes, asparagus, tomatoes and mushrooms
Snacks and Syns: weekend wine and strawberries

Off to make a SW curry for tomorrow (and freezer) and bolognese as well. I'm right out of HM ready-meals plus I think both taste better made in advance and marinated.

Maman - you have to have a life, if you always rigidly stuck to plan and turn invites down you will be miserable and will never stick to it long term. Our consultant does a good thing when we have a bad week coming up or have had one and that is that there are 3 meals a day making 21 meals a week and not all of them will be off plan so make the right choices when you can and enjoy your week and don't beat yourself up about it.

I have had another synful day.

I am really struggling with being on the straight and narrow. And because I haven't had any loss till now, I am pretty demotivated. On top of that , things at work have been pretty stressful and busy

    Food for today

BF: Usual Wheatabix with SS Milk, banana and strawberries
Lunch: Stirfried vegatables with rice (1 tsp oil) - 2/3 syns
Dinner: Meal Out - I only had the starter in the pub, so not so bad but definitely more than 10 syns
    Snacks: Cherries/ Grapes/ Plum/ Strawberries

My looking at my daily mealplans, I think I am not following the 1/3 SF rule and thats the reason, I am not loosing any weight.

I am going to be very strict with me tomorrow, though have another social event on Sunday :o

Dizzy, very well done! And the bandages must've weighed a bit so that's extra well done!

Take it Eazy I don't know how you managed to sit through that. Couldn't you give some sneaky kicks under the table at least!

Curvy C: you can add squash but make sure it is "no added sugar", then it is still free.

I've decided I've become truly boring and dull, fretting about what I can and cannot eat when I am out, to the extent that people don't want me to go for meals any more except my one friend who is doing SW and frankly she ignores the rules when she is out. So as I have this week off work I am going to have a week of taking it easy, not going mad (it's difficult to go mad after 18 months on SW!) but not fretting so bloomin' much. It can't make it any worse as I seem to go up more than down even when I am trying. Then at the end of this week i will see if I feel better about myself.

Having said all that, I don't want to put anyone off SW. In my first year I lost over 2.5 st, it wasn't so difficult, and then happily maintained for nearly 6 months before deciding I wanted to lose another half a stone. That's where I have stalled. I am just throwing money away, and it's my fault because the consultant asked and asked if I was SURE I wanted to lose more. So, to everyone else, it can be done I am proof - but I am being easy on myself for a few days and hope to get some friends back into the "let's go out" fold!
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Good evening
Just checking in to post my food for the day, which was ok until I went out:
    oats, berries and yog (b)
    fruit
    pasta with cheese (a)
    fruit
then I took DS to nandos and the cinema as he was down in the dumps. I had the portobello mushroom and halloumi burger and a small Ben and Jerry's ice cream. It wasn't massive as off plan evenings go, and I did the 30 day shred and mowed the grass front and back today, so I hope I haven't done too much damage.

    Onwards and upwards!!

Oh and I would have loved to kick the Mother of the kids, I was so tempted to say 'for gods sake woman control your damn kids' but it would only have caused ructions within the family and she so aint worth it.

Don't be too hard on yourself Blackberry, I know exactly what you mean though. I was asked if I wanted cake last night, I said no then someone else asked me and my Mum pipes up No shes not allowed cake :o. Have I got that bad? I think I have :p. But sod it, its my choice. I'm glad I don't go to class as although I set a target I like to be more than 3lb under if I can but without actually resetting my target if you see what I mean. I don't have that pressure of weekly wi so can lose or gain without worrying about having to explain myself to anyone. So there are pros and cons of going to club or not. Anyway am rambling, so have a 'me' week blackberry and hopefully you will feel better. You have done so well thus far and that should be all that matters really.
Hugs to you, you're not alone :A:A:A
