    Morning All,

I ache lots today - had my gym induction yesterday & booked up for Zumba classes on sat (9.30am), tues & thurs (on reserve list)

Going out tonight to a pub - not sure what to have - it is a very strange pub - very old fashioned (do a loverly steak & kidney pie!) - they don't even do jacket potatoes! Will just have to decide what to have when get there - been on a green day today - but plenty of suprefree to have an etra easy day

B - LO rice (from chinese - but hard! lol) with ff vanilla onken & strawbs
L - New pots with (i think) butternut squash & lentil curry! It all looks the same in the freezer lol
    S - Cherries

Still really annoyed about WI this week - sort have blown the week a bit - had over my syns on mon night after WI & tues & wed! lol

I reckon i will loose this week cos i have been naughty lol - why does it happen like that?

If i haven't lost any this week - i reckon i will do fast forward to kick start myself!

All my exercise may start working now - what did everyone find when they started exercise whilst on plan?

Sorry for the waffle - i know it might not make sense - just needed to write something down - lol

Does anyone have any ideas for recipes using the following (not neccessarily together!)

    Dried chickpeas
    Dried cannelini beans
    Dried black eye beans
    Dried red lentils
    Dried lentil soup mix
    Pearl barley
    Dried Red kidney beans

Can i soak, boil & simmer like on packet & then freeze?

    Thanks

Hope Dizzy has got on ok & everyone else is doing better x

    Good morning all...

Nessie - could you make a variation of dyno rod soup with all your beans or a mixed bean salad..?? i know there are people who boil them all up and freeze them but i've never done it myself - could you just do a test batch?

You could use the chickpeas for HM falafels or in salads, or we even add them to chilli (i don't like kidney beans so substitute chickpeas).

I'm also trying to start emptying my cupboards of all the dried foods and cans etc that we have as we are hoping to get a new house soon.. i think they'll be some interesting tea's going on in our house :rotfl:

    Today's menu...

    B - apple, yogurt, weetabix (4)
    L - BBQ quorn, wholemeal pitta(HEB), salad, crisps (4)
T - not sure yet - something with SW chips - we have a mountain of potatoes!!!
S - milk in tea (HEA) fruit

I will be loading a skip with rubble later so my body magic for the day should be great, however, i'm * weeking this week so i'm not expecting to show any great loss on the scale..i'm very uncomfortable in my clothes at the minute :(

Hope everyone is fine and dandy as can be x

    Thanks guns & shala moo

Gives me some ideas to start with - now all i need to do is soak them all tonight so i can make something with them all tomorrow for the freezer

I am spending more & more time out of the house lately so need to prepare some good quick meals!

The dried lentil soup mix - do i just !!! stock & veg to make the soup?

I never used to buy dried lentils etc. but they were really good value from AP not too long ago & thought it would be cheaper - which i am sure it is - but it isn't exactly easy! lol

Is there no instructions on them? I use dried red lentil for my lentil soup, dont soak them or anything. Just give them a good rinse in a seive and bung them in.
I also use red lentils for bulking bolognaise and chilli, no one will ever no they are there!

  • I've lost 9.5lbs so far on SW. Put on 1lb last week though.

My menu today so far is:

B - Melon and Grapes, Tea (1/2 syn)
L - Salad of baby new pots, couscous, onion, garlic, baby sweetcorn, FF yoghurt, Melon & Grapes
D - Omelette with Cheese (HEA), SW chips

Snacks - Banana, Coffee (1/2 syn), Ryvita (HEB)

Followed by an hour in the gym then a swim.

I am away to a fair tomorrow for the day, which will be full of burger vans etc, so I will be taking a picnic - pasta salads etc are fine, but not particularly handy - any suggestions for free or low syn things to take?
  • fell of the wagon, haven't made it to weigh in. luckily changed gym and was weighed there and in total since start i've lost 7lb. pretty happy with that as it's not a gain. gonna stick to weigh in at gym as slimming world groups just don't fit in with work.

    Hello
I woke up starving today, the curry pot I had last night can't have been as substantial as I'd thought.
I'm a bot low on food here and going away on tuesday so don't want to do a huge shop, so our meals may be a little bit odd!
Today will probably be like this:
    oats, berries and yog (b)
    nectarine
pasta with some cheese melted on it (a)
    melon, yog
and I may try to make the baked bean lasagne, but it depends whether ds will be here or off at a friends. If it's just me, it'll be jacket potato with something or other, or maybe Linda McCartney sausages with SW chips.

I'll squash the other b in somewhere, probably some ryvita or toast as a snack later.

And I've just managed to do level 2 of the 30 day shred and got to the end thinking 'that wasn't too bad, maybe I'll go for a walk later', so I think my fitness is finally on the way up.

Ooh, also, my size 18 jeans are now decidedly baggy, I can take them off without undoing them. I wouldn't go as far as saying they're too big yet, but we're definitely going in the right direction!

Have a good day all xx
