Forgot to say that although the 30 Day Shred is good I have never done the full 30 days either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! xx0 -

Porridge with dried apricots (a, b and 2 syns)
Fried egg sandwich with ketchup (b and 1 syn)
SW baked cannelloni (a choice)
Graze box punnet (5 syns)Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
does anyone know how many syns in this low fat, non dairy mock choc icecream?
slice 4 ripe nanas and freeze overnight.
Take out of freezer and thaw for 20 mins.
Whiz in processor/blender till smooth.
add desert spoonful of cocoa powder and whiz again.
eat as soft ice cream or re-freeze.
Tis yum

Can anyone help with the following please?
I joined SW last week (put weight on after giving up smoking in March) and came home full of it.
I have been exceptionally good all week and had my weigh in today. Lost a pound. Now I'm obviously doing something wrong but what?
Due to the chaotic nature of the class (was a shambles really and not what I expected at all - also I'm not a 'group' kind of person so it was doubly hard) I could hardly hear what was being said. Thus I came away thinking that ALL Activia and ALL Muller products were free foods.
It wasn't until last night when I managed to input these on the website (which isn't the most user friendly site I've ever encountered) that I found out they were about 2 syns each. Not really a worry as the only syns over the week were 2 x Smirnoff, 1 x Scotch, 2 small handfuls of cashew nuts, and about ten small wine gums. I've been following the extra easy slavishly and had mountains of salad with a variety of fish (oh and I also learned that smoked mackerel and mackerel are not the same in SW world) or chicken. Masses of fresh fruit, particularly berries and melon. Not a crisp or chocolate or cake or biscuit has passed my lips in the entire week which is really good going for me. Due to my odd work shifts I managed to miss 4 meals throughout the week but these were mainly breakfasts which I've never been a fan of. Prior to SW I could happily go all day and eat one meal about 7pm then be done till the next day. I usually cycle between 10 and 20 miles a day but work stuff got in the way this week so not much exercise apart from a lot of gardening and a bit of walking.
Today's menu is fairly typical of the whole week.
B - Activia yoghurt but not the syn free one as I didn't know there was a difference and I have to eat them up now I've bought them.
L - Tuna and cucumber sandwich, no dressing, on light brown bread, pack of blueberries
D - Huge salad with prawns and smoked salad, whole small melon
S - these will be 1 x Scotch and diet coke (well, maybe two, it's been a hard day) and Horlicks Light at bedtime.
Sometimes I have the salad for lunch (depends on shifts) and have a 2 egg omelette for dinner with a grating of cheese in it or pasta with a tin of tomatoes and a grating of cheese on top. Dessert is always either yoghurt of fruit.
I should add that I am not mountainous and have a maximum of two stones to lose.
So how on earth did I only manage to lose one measly pound this week? I didn't stay for class as it was even noisier than last week, just got weighed and made my escape!0 -
Evening fellow Tank dwellers
Well I've had a big looong stressy of a day
Been at hosp today to have my 'magic ear graft' looked at. Well - its not fab newsthe hole in the grafted skin that had developed where some of the scabby stuff came off is right down to my skull.....and it too big to be 'pulled over and stitched' so Ive got to go in on Thursday this week & have a skin graft taken from my thigh to re do the dodgy bit *sigh* I'm having this done under Local anasthetic so I will be out & back home by mid afternoon at the latest - but I'm not looking forward to it very much (still,it will keep me away from the food cupboards before WI on Thurs night ha ha)
Anyhow.....foodwise I've been preeeety good todayso I'm hoping I'm still on track for that 3 stone shiney this week (I bloody well better be....I'm not even having any Birthday Buns on Wednesday:eek::mad::p)
Right Corrie is calling me tara for now x x0 -
Hi, can I join this thread please. I started SW last Tuesday first way in tomorrow :-)
Welcome to SW . . . this bunch of people have kept me on the straight and narrow for the last few weeks. I don't attend a class and weigh myself weekly at home then by posting it on here i feel like i'm part of the group!
Lost 10lb over the last 6 weeks but stayed the same for the first time this week. I did fall off the the tank for a whole 4 days while on holiday though. Infact i will go as as far as saying on 1 of the days i fell off the front of the tank and it ran me right over!!
B - yog and fruit
L - SW canellonni (HEXA)
S - banana
D - paprika potato wedges, beans
ooh still got 2 x HEB and 1 x HEA to play with. . . .0 -
WI tonight & 1.5lbs off, 3st 5lbs in total :j (still 1.5lbs higher than lowest though
, but back on track :T.
Taster session afterwards, nom nom nom, just finished off what I brought home - watermelon salsa and potato & bacon salad.
Well done everyone, and good luck this week :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
