Can anyone help when I went back on Wednesday the consultant told up that you can get a SW app for your phone. She said this app will help find the syns values rather than lug the book around. Anyways Ive downloaded the app but its rather useless there is nothing about SYNS on it? Have any of you managed to find this app?0

That was the general feeling about the app in my group last week too! I think that consultants are told to pass on information to the group but it's not always very detailed and they do't always understand what they're talking about. A few weeks ago ours told us about amazing on-line food diaries that would 'tell' you if your plan was red/green etc etc. I tried, and unless it's me. the diaries are a nonsense. They only let you list very general stuff and no quantities so you could be synning like mad. What help is that?0 -

AND my eye's have been giving me jip, they are really itchy too and do look slightly sore. I think it might have been my mascara, but it's never done this before and i've had it since xmas... maybe i'm due some new make-up. I have been moisturising a lot to see if that helps, but it's early days at the moment.
Are you using any eye cream or gels? I've just given up on one which promised to make me look younger ... and has left my upper eye lids and browlines flaking, red and puffy with twice as many folds as i had to begin with!0 -

Thank you I thought I was going mad looking at it thinking well where can I find out the SYN values, she even said you wouldnt need to take the book shooping made a real big thing about it
I must say though I do use the food diary on line and find it great but I have to tell it first of all if Im doing red, green or ee. I like the syn bit because you can put the makers name in. But I know what you mean about how much if I know somethings really bad I wont have the full amount.0 -

no major surprises there, however I was hoping for a STS seeing as I hadn't actually overeaten calorie wise, I just had been eating synful things.
I think i'm going to change my WI to Thursdays (not sure why that day though :rotfl: ) and I'm going to try my hardest this monday to thursday for 100% days!
Not been feeling top of the world either recently, my skin just seems really 'sore'. I went shopping the other day too and just felt really 'blurgh' in everything I tried on, and no clothes really interested me at all. I'm really not sure what on earth is wrong with me! Just feeling sort of down in the dumps
I would say this would be due to stress, as it's the last few weeks of uni, but I don't feel like i've been stressed at all...
sorry for all the miserable-ness, but I just wanted to get it all down!
On a brighter note, I must admire your whole attitude to everything MrsM! I think you are a great role model! Exercising, incorporating nuts, seeds and avocado's into your diet using syns, just everything!
Hope the week goes well for everyone
Hey don't get worrying about having a moan on here, you know we all support each other and we're all more than willing to 'hear' a few moans now and again if it helps to write it down.
You have had a lot going on lately what with uni and such and it's understandable that with all the stress you get to feel a bit down.
Moan away - don't feel bad about doing it.
Hope you have a good week xx0 -

I think the diary has changed since I last looked at it. After reading your post I've just experimented with it again by putting in what I've planned to eat for today. Other than telling me I have too many syns planned (which I know as I'll balance it out tomorrow) it was fine but that's because I'd already planned a balanced, on-plan menu (except for the syns:o) I think where it could be more helpful would be by separating free and superfree foods. As it stands (I think) it just counts everything which isn't a HE or syn) as free which wouldn't work on EE if you didn't have at least a third SF. I'll just go and put in some fictitious menus to see what happens.0 -

I'm sorry, couldn't resist it!.... I just can't help myself sometimes :rotfl:x x

I think, after the build-up from my consultant, I was hoping for some sort of planning/monitoring tool which the on-line diary just isn't. It does seem to have a facility for telling you if you put in more than 15 syns but other than thatI don't find it helpful. I just told it I had chicken curry and chips last night and it accepted it as free food. OK, so it was a syn-free SW curry with loads of veg in it with SW chips but it could easily have been from the local Indian! I wish!;)
I think I'll stick with pencil and paper. I find that if I'm straying from the plan, I write a diary in columns (Syns, HEs, free, superfree) and if the SF is starting to look a bit empty it pushes me to do something about it.0 -

Please don't apologise, I love it. Your lunch sounds lovely, I think I'll have a go at Mrs. M's burger, do they freeze? x0
