Why do they always seem to do 'offers' on drinks that aren't very good for us  :p

Same reason they're always doing 'specials' on chocolate :mad:
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Bit slow in posting but reached my target weight on Wednesday and now the really hard work will be to maintain it. Not sure that I want to lose any more weight but will see! Any tips on maintaining weight please?

The official line is to increase your Healthy Extras until you maintain. You may need an extra 2 or 3 or even more but do it one at a time till you know what's what.

Try not to increase your syns too much as this can be the beginning of a slippery slope :)

    thanks Consultant:

Just a quickie then as I am struggling with this too.

    Main HEBs I have are
    Mini bread
    3x pagen crisprolls
    cereal
    cereal bars eg alpens.

I cant really choose anothe HEA instead as I don really like cheese ( apart from cottage cheese!) so choose a B.

On a green day then I might have
    Cereal & fruit and yog
Couscous salad + Pagens + cotage cheese
    Quorn burger on roll

Eating all this makes me want less superfree, and its harder to get a 3rd superfree as the extra HEB is filling?

    Does this make sense?
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Just started watching "Losing it with Jillian" recorded from The Style Network (Channel 253 on Sky) yesterday. Its an a American show with the woman from the Shred on it "helping" an overweight (300 lbs) woman to lose weight and get fit in 1 week.
    Jillian is one scary woman!
I think she almost killed the woman on teh first workout! She's just screaming in her face and making her keep going even though she looks like she's going to collapse!

Hey you're not wrong when you say "she's a scary woman" I have been doing the 30 day shred (thanks to Mrs. M!) and she frightens me to death!!! (not Mrs. M you understand) At one stage in the workout she says "If you think going to die then follow Anita" well Anita is the one doing the slightly easier version - so my question is "If you think you're going to die and you are already following Anita, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU DO THEN?" I am sticking with it though - except today cos my back was aching but I will hopefully get back to it tomorrow. x

Also for those without sainsburys nearby:

Asda still doing muller lights singles for 25p each or 6 packs 1.50
Also doing WW 4 yogs for £1. ( summer, citrus, desserts) this is better than 2 for £2 for me as OH doesnt really like the WW deserts ones.

LYNZ - this post has made me feel much better cos I usually pick up the yogs that OH doesn't like very much! Day three of 100%.

As for the various niggles in the groups - mine main one is the people who just never shut up when our consultant is speaking. I feel like shushing them but haven't got the bottle. I wish our consultant would say something but she never does and it happens every week.

Oh, just something that was pointed out in my group this week. Tesco have brought out their own fat free yoghurts called Yoo Light and apparently these are NOT free.

To add to the 'what to have for breakfast' conversation: When I'm having cereal, I really like Puffed Wheat. It is incredibly light so 28g would give you a enormous bowlful. On top of that you can have a Scanbran to make up your HEB. Mostly I have a banana on top of my cereal to make up the SF but soon I shall be replacing this with English strawberries when they're in season:).

On other days I have mushrooms and tomatoes with my cooked breakfast or otherwise (like when I have kippers or boiled eggs) just eat a couple of satsumas or similar mid-morning.

I think with the consultant thing it's a difficult one. We had two stand-ins recently when ours was ill. One was OK but the other was so loud, lecturing and 'in your face' that if she'd been there any longer the group would have folded.

Good Morning all and another glorious day it looks like being too :j

Well done on the losses everyone :T

So then the scales say another 2lb gone , Im more than happy with that -especially as it drops me into the 13st bracket - 13st 12.5lbs to be exact
Ohhhhh and husdybundle has lost 3lbs this week - baring in mind he was drinking beer and eating cheese n ryvitas late last night -oooh and cracking walnuts .... good job I keep track on his syns, so even though in his mind he had "extras" they were actualy within the plan ;). Mind, with the amount of exercise he has done this week it would have been a travesty if he hadn't lost!! You should have seen us both hobbling round the house yesterday evening -I swear I am gonna end up with an a** of steel by the time Im done
Anyhoo -hubby has gone to his golf competition (Im quite happy to have today as a rest day )

So then Im "tweaking" this week and trying a few changes that Jillian mentions in her book (got to say I love this womans attitude:p). I can't say Im having to make huge changes - the biggest will be eating every 4 hrs and she only does 3 meals and 1 afternoon snack -which isn't that far from what I do no -although I usually have an activia in the evening, I usually have to remind myself to eat it-so I "should" be ok... also Im going to be replacing my HeB of potatoes with more beans etc...
Im also going to UP my syns -which will be easier this way as Im going to add nuts to my diet (I have avoided them because of their high count) ... so then todays red carb curfew will be :-
    8am
    1/2 grapefruit
    28g oats (B)
    250ml semi (A)
    cherries
    strawberries
    activia (2.5)

    12pm
    salmon with lemon+black pepper
    bean salad :-
    114g red kidney beans (B)
    onions
    tomatoes
    cucumber
    peppers
    balsamic

    4pm
    strawberries
    cherries
    raspberries
    activia (2.5)
    10 hazelnuts (5)

    7pm
    turkey steak
    lettuce
    cucumber
    tomatoes
    onion
    peppers
    tickled cabbage
    tickled onions
    tickled beetroot

    250ml semi (A)
soooo thats 2A+Bs and 10 syns covered...

I don't have much planned for today -I have done my meal plan for the week -so I may just have to sit and read some more ...
right Im off to catch up on everything on here
have a lovely day all and keep up the great work -we are getting there
    -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.5

    Morning everyone,

I did my wi this morn and STS which i'm really pleased with considering the week i've had.
After going over my food diarys i've decided to make a few changes, for starters i'm going back to my special k for breakfast. I know this will mean using 5syns straight away but it also frees up my 2nd heb which is where i seemed to be struggling (this is what i did the 1st time i did sw and it worked well for me so figured why not try it again) and secondly i've realised i'm not eating anywhere near enough fruit and veg so i'm going to try really hard to increase my intake of these.

Going for a green day today...

    B - special k (5), milk and cuppa (hea)
L - spaggy hoops with cheese(half hea) followed by bunch of grapes
T - chicken (heb), mash (1syn for marg and half hea for milk) and loads of veg and little bit of gravy (1)
S - alpen light x2 (heb), sticks of celery and cucumber

So thats heb x2 hea x2 and 7syns used so far
    £387.39/£196.46
Pay my debt by End of Feb 2022
    49.28% paid!

£199.55/£500 savings by End of April 2022
    39.91% saved!
