Well, I've done the Race for Life 10k today. It POURED the whole time.
I stayed at a hotel last night and ate at their restaurant which was very nice and the lovely waitress advised me on what had the least fat etc but it was still mildly sinful, and I had a glass of wine in my room too (oh and just remembered the bag of crisps I bought to accompany my healthy picnic that I ate in the car on the way ....).
This morning breakfast was rushed as I had to be there before the race started at 9, so I had cooked breakfast (1 rasher bacon, 1 surprisingly thin and UNfatty sausage, half tomato, one greasy egg and lots of greasy mushrooms - I left the greasy stuff) and a bowl of tinned grapefruit. It was the best I could do, the rest was BREAD. I took fruit with me though. Came home, slept, then made a lovely sirloin steak on the GF grill with a gigantic bowlful of vegetables - onion, garlic, butternut squash, caulflower, leek, courgette, aubergine, red pepper, all sauteed in passata :A:A:A. I just had a terrible urge for healthy SW type food. Does this happen to other people when they've been bad, whether intentionally or just no choice? I find it happens more and more to me.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Good evening!
Well I survived DS's birthday sleepover.. just about. I dozed off at midnight after being assured that they would go to sleep at the end of their dvd, only to be woken at 5am as they completely went over the edge with tiredness, I went in thinking that they'd just woken up early to discover that they hadn't been to sleep yet. They're 11!!! A bit of shouting from me and making DS get into my bed, and 5 minutes later they were snoring.
But, I totally ignored the pizzas, ice cream, sweets, crisps etc, just wasn't interested!!
So, a green day for me:
granola and yogurt (6 syns)
carrot and lentil soup and a roll (b)
fruit fruit fruit
weetabix and a banana (a and b)
leftover millet bake with mixed beans and a big salad
grapefuit.
I went for a power walk for half an hour and felt amazing, and am determined to do more exercise because it makes me feel great.
Taking DS out for dinner and bowling tomorrow, I think I can get a jacket potato and salad where we're going, so I plan to stick to the plan!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -

Can I join this thread please?
I have ordered the CD from Ebay tonight. I don't have the time to go to the meetups so will be doing it myself and will be turning to this thread for motivation.
I am also trying to fit in a bit of exercise. Will start with a bit of walk and generally avoid sitting in front of the TV and instead move about in the house.
I have total 1.5 stones to loose

We're having to stay there as its not practical to have them here (they would try and jump over the balcony to chase the birds:eek:)
I'll be popping home to shower etc as I can't get up the stairs there (guess whos sleeping on another sofa) BUT he does have a downstairs lavvi - so I won't have to pee in the garden with the doggies :rotfl::rotfl:
I'll pop on here when I can when I'm home as I'm not sure of the internet set up there.....he mentioned needing a dingle or dangle thing 'topping up' but I didnt know what he was on about:o
So I'll leave the TANK door Open.....DRIVE CAREFULLY LADIESx x
