You've not dreamed it up Maman, the official line is if you don't have the whole Healthy Extra, you should syn what you do have.

As someone else sugested, it's mainly to ensure that people do have their HE's - after all, it's not all about losing weight, it's about getting (and staying) healthy!
Thanks for clarifying that. I have had mine every day but will make a note to be even more pedantic about them!:p Maman, you were correct :D :j

    Todays menu

B Toast HEB, Beans, Spread 0.5 Coffee 0.5
Strawbs, blueberries, mullerlight cheesecake 1, bag of celery, plum tomatoes

L Leek and potato soup 1. Diet pepsi
    Melon, mullerlight

D Egg mac cheese omelette with brocolii in NOM NOM and Moz HEA (and spring onions) and chips

Syns Spread 0.5 Coffee 0.5 mullerlight cheesecake 1 Leek and potato soup 1 - 3 total, Will have a curly wurly taking me to 9 and a cup of tea 0.5 = 9.5

E Cycled 20, Cycled 25, Walked 26mins. Have drank bottles and bottles of water

SPoke to my consultant who was very kind and helpful and nice because i was so upset at not losing :(

I find it very strange that out of the numerous consultants i have had - none of them have mentioned this! Even when joining a brand new class - she has never mentioned synning healthy extras if you haven't had them all

So i am correct in saying that if i had 28g of porridge but forgot to eat the scan bran that you should have with it - i would have to syn the porridge? or if i have 3 extra light laughing cow instead of the 6 i should have - i should syn this aswell? What about if the above happens in one day - would i have to syn the above & have 'proper' healthy extras?

I have always gone on the stance that if i haven't eaten all my healthy extras - tough sort of thing for example, i sometimes only have 1 alpen light & don't have room for the other or i don't have all my milk & don't fancy drinking the rest!

I find this very strange indeed! Especially as it is not mentioned in the books!

Sorry for rant - i just don't understand!

So yesterday i ended up with 9.5 syns (not including for part the healthy extra of milk!)

Happy today - going out tonight & i got a letter from tax man last night - with a cheque for £732  and a letter a couple of weeks ago from company saying i will be getting £212 back in this months pay

    :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j

    Zumba tomorrow yay :T

Made a nice mexican bean soup last night - but it was missing something - didn't have much of a kick - but i did load it with herbs & spices!

Anyway - better get back to work!

    WELL DONE everyone xxx

Oh, forgot to ask - for the Zumba fans - would you class it as high impact? I am guessing so.

Nessie I agree with everything you've said - I find it strange it's never been explained but am sure consultant knows her stuff.

If I hadn't been reading this thread, there's quite a lot I wouldn't know so thanks to you all for that :)

Zumba - it can be high or low impact - depending on how much you jump around - i can't jump that high (i would get black eyes IYSWIM ) but try to keep up & bounce along as much as i can without damaging myself

Think of it as dancing - impact depends how fast you go - if that makes any sense!

That's a real bu**er dizzy (insert consonants of choice;)).

I know it seems very illogical zippy and I must admit to finding some of the 'mystique' around SW very frustrating at times. I'm not one of those who can treat it like magic, I need logical explanations. I console myself by accepting that there probably are logical explnations but SW wants to keep quiet about them as it's a money-making organisation.

As for the synning HEs, when I said that it was the official line I didn't say that I did it!:D I've never eaten a scan bran in my life and don't intend to. So if it's a 2 part HEB, for example, I ignore the bit I don't want. This isn't often as mostly I have bread which doesn't need any weighing.

Lost 6lbs at weigh in on monday and so far so good this week so far. It's my sons 16th on Monday though and celebrations start this weekend so i'm hoping I can stick with it without indulging :D

    Have a great weekend.

    Be good.
