I'm beginning to wonder if I made that up about needing to have a complete portion of HEs. I thought I heard it here or at a class. If I find confirmation I'll let you know (or perhaps you'd rather I didn't;)). I do remember one stand-in consultant (Area Manager) telling us you didn't need to have any HEs at all if you didn't want them.

You've not dreamed it up Maman, the official line is if you don't have the whole Healthy Extra, you should syn what you do have.

As someone else sugested, it's mainly to ensure that people do have their HE's - after all, it's not all about losing weight, it's about getting (and staying) healthy!

Hi guys can I have a bit of advice?

Has anyone maintained and not understood why? I lost 7.5 lbs last week so I am thinking that that may have something to do with it but its a bit disheartening :(

    Please help!

Maintaining after a huge 7½lbs loss is nothing to worry about, honestly. If you lost weight at that rate every week you'd be in danger if losing healthy muscle tissue (which in turn, helps you lose weight).

You may well not lose ounces/pounds every week but you often find that on weeks where the scales let you down a little, you actually lose inches instead, so make sure you've measured all your important little places :D

alamaya - I got my books from ebay as we don't have a group near here and do it on my own - well with the help of DH - I come here daily and read and post my weigh-in on Sundays.

So far - doing it without a group (but with this mob in reserve) I have lost 58lbs since the 9th of January - it can be done ;)

Just to chip in my twopennorth, I bought a disk with all the up to date info on for about £2.50, also it had lots of recipes included. Was well worthwhile.

    Evening
I think I'm geting the hang of this now (famous last words). I've been trying to give up sugary stuff and have successfully resisted all week, and now the attraction is fading. Fingers crossed I'm changing my tastebuds!
    So, green for me again:
Weetabix with a plum and an apple chopped on it (a and b)
4 dark rye ryvita with cow cheese (a and b)
    nectarines, 2 ff yogs,
    granola and yog (6 syns)
sw chips, quorn sausages and beans (are the sausages half or one syn? Can't remember but worst case scenario is 3)
a massive bowl of cherries and a nectarine
    and that's it, 2 x a and 2 x b, and a maximum of syns.
Too tired to do any exercise tonight, thighs are a little stiff from the shred last night, but will do it again tomorrow.

I deserve an early night, and that's what I'm off to do now, sadly with an xbox soundtrack, thanks to ds!

Have a happy evening one and all xx

Ha, we used to get that, and beef bacon, in Saudi Arabia, I really liked it!

I'm still trying to do red days to shake my body up a bit. Today I had for lunch what I was going to have the day before, I forgot I was off work the day before and going out for supper. So lunch that day was a gigantic salad and prawns, and supper was some lemon rice and lamb chilli massala but I left (almost) all the oily stuff on the plate and whatever syns it was, it was all I had that day. Supper today another gigantic plate of salady things (no lettuce :D ever) with mixed seafood. Just eating ryvita minis as my second HEB, first was with lunch being the spicy potatoes. how garbled this is. Ignore me. Welcome to new people. You CAN do it if you don't listen to my ramblings.

Dizzy, I fancy the Philips gizmo that's advertised in the new SW mag. Airfryer I think it's called.
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I thought that fancy fryer thing looked good too. Trouble was it had a very fancy price for cooking chips!

I just watched Rick Stein cooking patatas bravas on his new Spanish programme. They looked really tasty and I'm sure with a little adaptation could be very SW friendly. I think I'll try that.

    My EE menu today:

B: NAS squash, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk in teas, pear
L: ham sandwich, apple with cottage cheese
D: SW spaghetti bolognese with xtra veg
Snacks: frozen toffee Muller, berries with yogurt
