    Hi all,

Can i grab some advice. Wanting to loose weight asap but healthy. For the following reasons

    1. Had baby 9 weeks ago and seriously am chunky now lol.
    2. Having gallbladder issues. (if i eat lots of fatty, greasy food i get bad back ache in the early hours)
    3. Have a party and holiday coming up.
    4. Have a diagnosed mild bladder prolapse (cystocele) and undiagnosed rectocele and apparently is worse in overweight people.

I want to join slimming world but seriously have hardly any cash. Cant afford £20 a month on either online or group.

What i want to know is i can get the books off ebay. Could i realistally do the plan this way or do i really need to do online/group.

I'd suggest going to a meeting, which will cost you about a tenner. For this you will get all the books you need plus the consultant talk explaining how each of the plans work. You don't need to go back if you don't want to and can do it by yourself at home.

I wouldn't buy the books from Ebay as often they are old and out of date and often more expensive than paying to go to a meeting and getting everything you need.

    HTH.

Almost one week in and at WI I have lost ¾ lb. I am pleased as I did have a hiccup last weekend.

I have had a bowl of soup but may go back for more as I am a bit hungry and wasn't sure of syn value earlier.

Well done maman! 3 stone loss . . . might be me one day *dreaming*

    - Advice please - I am yet to try EE as i was taught the old school SW green days and have been on that for a few weeks now. If i have a green style lunch eg Pasta or couscous with a superfree salad (this is the norm for me) could i go on to have a EE tea?? or do i need to chuck in a Red free food to the pasta salad?

I often have 1 x HEX A and B for my breakfast with fruit snacks mid morning, would that work on EE?

thanks for all your advice so far . . . great bunch of people!

the ee plan is explained really well on the 1st post but no you do not have to eat meat with every meal on an ee day.

also with ee you are meant to have 1/3 of each meal as superfree ie fruit/veg/salad

piglet - welcome to our friendly supportive thread - are you used to doing 7 hours of exercise? Is this normal for you?

If it isn't it may take your body a couple of weeks to get used to it - don't give up you're doing very well - I only lost .5lb in my first week - but am now nearly 4 stone lighter....

    hi,

    no, not at all,
at the very most and hour a week, never mind an hour a day,

i have stepped the pace up a bit this week, doing just over an hour a day but going further and faster

i will stick with it for sure, im feeling better already and im only 3.5lbs down and one week in, feeling fitter, less breathless, even a bit lighter on my feet!:)

congrats on your loss...4 stone..wow...well done!! and thanks for the advice,

i didnt realise it wud take a while for ur body to adjust to exercise, so thank you,

Afternoon all! Hope everyone is well?

The new job news has finally sunk in and I'm trying to get back to normal again. Not doing fabulously diet-wise lately - I will start in earnest again tomorrow (having already had a Wispa today, due to not having time for lunch today - its still in the fridge in work ready for tomorrow - boo!)

Tea will be sweet and sour quorn and wild rice - just fancy it today for a change - the sauce is a low fat/cal one and I'll only use about half.

Pay day tomorrow so I'll be rich(ish) again and ready to buy superfrees and SW friendly goodies.
Right, off to avoid the biscuits until tea time........

people charge alot for the books on ebay. you may be better off going to class once. have the introductory talk and getting the joining pack for around £10 depending on what offers they are doing for new members. once you have been you are under no obligation to go back.

ok good afternoon people, i am ee today

b - tall skinny latte (hea), 2 alpen light (heb), nectarine
    l - veg pasta, cheesecake muller (1), nectarine, 2 x satsumas

dinner will probably be 1 wholemeal toast (4.5), baked beans, bacon. might do a little salad as a starter to up my superfrees

question - i am taking my nephews out for lunch on saturday and was wondering what is the best place to go to from either pizza hut, pizza express or zizzis??
i think i have probably ruled out pizza hut as i would be too tempted to have pizza.
in pizza express i would either have a salad with dough sticks (i am not paying for them and not eating them lol) or one of those pizzas with a salad in the middle
or in zizzi i would go for a tomatoey pasta dish

    hi H007

Personally I would do zizi as you can get veggie pasta dishes. you could make it a green day if you did this, or i guess if there were lots of veggies in the pasta it could still be EE. I think some of the salads etc at places like pizza express would have lots of syns hidden in! whereas pasta is more straightforward!:)

I'd be inclined to agree as even the legere pizzas at Pizza Express have loads of calories and who could resist having garlic dough balls. In Pizza Hut, you could have salad and pasta but you'd need amazing willpower to ignore the pizza and what if the nephews went to the ice-cream factory!

Also it's a better 'dining experience' in Zizzi's compared with Pizza Hut at least it is with my nearest one as it's in a gorgeous listed building with a lovely garden.
