Well after feeling totally wiped out yesterday and not being able to be bothered, the food didn't turn out to be too bad. There was 2xweetabix for breakfast, large salad with 2 slices of ham for lunch followed by melon, and then a pasta concoction for dinner, with ham & veg included. However I did give in later and had 2 vodies, don't know why apart from the fact that I wanted to make sure I didn't toss & turn when I went to bed.
Today woke with a headache (prob due to the vodka!), had 2xweetabix, 1.5 hrs on wii, half a chicken sandwich & 2x orange, dinner was poached haddock, poached egg, carrots, brocoli & pots. Then a huge bowl of straws, blueberry, kewi & grapes with ff yog & one meriangue nest.
So all in all not bad.
Fingers crossed for tomorrows wi.0 -
hi all
just started Slimming World last Monday, followed it to the letter of the law, had a total of 70 synes for the whole week, and did 7 hours of exercise over the week, weigh in last night, lost 3.5lbs, was a little disappointed after reading \ hearing from friends who are on it, about the big lose you were almost sure of for the first week, a lot of them loosing between 6 and 12 pounds for their first weeks,
but i will stick with it, i am doing the extra easy, and tbh, i am finding it extra easy, i am missing my bread, crustys, baguettes, etc, but i am getting there,
i am just a wee bit dubious that portion size is totally unlimited on free foods as i do love my meat and potatoes and i am eating lots of them,
i only had 5 syns so far today, so i am gonna treat myself to a SW Mint bar now i thnk,0 -
:grouphug: for those in need of one either in celebration or commiseration.
Hopefully the Dominos won't have been with you long enough to cause any damage welshwoofer. You probably had a 'nervous' stomach from all the stresses of the day.
Welcome piglet. Yes, you can have big portions of meat and potatoes on EE but you must balance that with (at least) a third of supefrees either as veg with your meal or fruit after it. So the bigger the meat and potato portio the more veg you must have. I think your loss is good and what's more it's sustainable. Good luck.
Ended up in a pub for tonight's meal. I stuck to my one glass of wine. To eat I had gammon, new potatoes (instead of chips), fried egg and salad. It was a bit heavy on oil but otherwise very SW friendly. Oh and a couple of spoons from someone else's ice-cream.:o When I got home I had a bowl of berries to up the superfrees. I'm probably a bit over on syns but no more this week until Thursday's WI.0 -
I gained .5lb this week - so I wasn't too impressed!
Have grabbed a food diary and will be filling it in this week - and I will be GOOD!
Walked twice round the block this morning - and burst into a lumpy trot at times - last night's gain has really motivated me.....
piglet - welcome to our friendly supportive thread - are you used to doing 7 hours of exercise? Is this normal for you?
If it isn't it may take your body a couple of weeks to get used to it - don't give up you're doing very well - I only lost .5lb in my first week - but am now nearly 4 stone lighter....
Re the HE's:- I eat mine religously - because they are important. Iam 49 and the change of life is approaching...I make sure i have my healthy A because i do not want to suffer from osteoporosis - my A makes sure i have the calcium I need for strong bones ( I eat a lot of FF yoghurt too!)
I am one of those posters who can be a little obsessive re the visits from the poo fairy - hence I eat my B choice - cos it provides fibre.
AS Alexander the meerkat would say - SIMPLES!
I build the rest of my eating around them!
And a huge thank you goes to the person who commented that Per Una sizes are SMALL! - You made my day! ( I had sort of known this - but whilst I may make sensible food choices since I joined SW I do occasionally think that if something doesn't fit it's because I'm fat... i have still to fully change the low self confidence that I had before i joined..):jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

I've had a traumatic day - had an interview for a big promotion in work (I'm a teacher and its a second in dept job, big deal for lowly little me!) and after the most horrible interview ever I amazingly got the job:j:j:j
How is anyone's guess! I thought I was rubbish in the interview!
So as a celebration and due to general can't be arsedness we're having a Dominos pizza delievered for tea - in my defence, I've only had fruit to eat and a cereal bar all day due to the interview and running around. Still will be a syn-tastic day though.......
Congrats WW and you deffo deserved a pizza for a treat, just a shame it disagreed with you! I love domino's but we haven't had one for a good few months now.Evening All
Good news is I lost 4.5 lbs this week
Bad news is I also lost my job!
Jue
So sorry to hear that Julie. I can sympathise as I am still waiting to find out where I stand with my job. I will hopefully be ok but there are 1200 redundancies to be made so there will be lots of my friends and colleagues who won't be lucky and I may still be one of them!
Dizzy, glad to hear you're home. Lucky you getting an actifry, you'll have to let us know how you get on with it! ANd well done for resisiting all the goodies at your mum's.....you're stronger willed than me!!
Today will be EE:

Lunch - mixed salad, salad cream (1), corned beef quiche (2), cherries.
Tea - cottage pie, sw roasties, lots of veg, gravy (3)
