    Hello

Cyclingyorkie I think that Per Una sizes are really small, when I've been a 16 elsewhere I couldn't get a leg in a per una 16, so a double well done!!

I've had a rotten day today, everyone at work was really flat, myself included, I think it's because we're making redundancies at the moment so we've got extra work and it's not nice to do, so we're all a bit down. I think I'll take my team in a bottle of wine each, to say well done for getting through it, when this week is over.

Still, I managed to stick my the tank regardless, my green day is like this:

    Oats, berries and yog (B)
pasta with lemon juice and herbs
    banana, 2 satsumas, apple
    yogurt
and I've got a huge tray of vegetables roasting in the oven which I'll have with some couscous.

Hmm, that leaves me with 2xA, 1xB and all my syns left over.
I suppose I can force myself to have a cup of tea and a curly whirly later, although I'm really trying to stay off the choc, so perhaps I'll find something else to use syns on.

    Have a happy evening all!!

The veg in the sweet & sour really makes it look much better. I must admit that I don't really measure my 'milk in teas' either. If it's not too hard for you it might be worth measuring out some milk one day and seeing how much you actually use for drinks. I like quite strong tea so I probably only use a tbsp or so for each cup. The reason I'm pointing it out is that 'officially' if you don't use all your HE allowance each day you should syn what you actually use.

    EEK! How do you mean?!?!?!

Can i ask if anyone splits their healthy extras? The temptation is there to have one round of bread from 400g loaf and one cereal bar

I had a black cherry fancy mullerlight today - 2 syns i hadn't realised! BOOOOO! Thought it might be one at the most but then i seen the swirls of puree in side. Was tasty though. :)

Not impressed with the info about synning your healthy extra's if you don't have them all though, not a chance am I doing that lol, I often don't finish my milk allowance and thought i was being good huhhhhh

Thats good to know. I can't understand why or how you would be required to syn it if you don't use it all! EEEEEK AGAIN!:o:D

The Sw world website says you can split HEs
Q: Can I mix and match my Healthy Extras by halving the portions?
A: Yes, if you like - you’ll still lose weight beautifully! The downside is your speed and fibre symbols would have to be ignored unless your two halves had identical symbols. However, mixing and matching couldn't be done when there are multiple items in one choice, e.g. 28g Kellogg's All-Bran 1 Ryvita Multigrain crispbread. With all single item choices, feel free!

To keep the food diary as easy as possible to update, our Healthy Extra drop down lists only allow you to enter a whole Healthy Extra. If you do enjoy two half portions and want to record that, please make an entry in your food diary journal.

I had never heard of that till now, but I am taking a guess its just to make people have there full healthy extra allowance, I know on red and green days I often only have 1 hea, sometimes only half, and I know thats wrong to do, so am guessing its to stop people like me doing such like. Naughty me :p

Starbucks coffees.. wow thats a lot of syns!

this is how boring I am, I keep a little tupperware-type container in my handbag, it has fat free dried milk in it. Then if I go to a coffee shop I just have Americano (black) and add my own dried milk. Mind, I've never been a fan of the sweet stuff and toppings anyway so it's easy for me. I like my coffee dark strong hot and fresh.

Now, I had a FABULOUS breakfast this morning. I got the idea from glancing at this month's mag, but was too idle to check out exactly what they said which is as well cos my version was completely different.

One slice of proscuitto ham with fat removed
5 little slices of turkey sausage (from Polish section of supermarket)
Quarter of melon cut into little slices
Kiwi fruit cut into little slices
a handful of big strawberries, sliced
Over the top I sprinkled a pinch of citrus and olive rub that I got from Sainos ages ago, I never use it to cook with only to put onto salads etc.

It was divine, was more like threequarters superfree and one quarter free. And with it I ate my day's HEB - 3 Pagen Krisprolls. A mouthful of pagen, fruit and ham was just WONDERFUL and such a nice change. Sorry to go on, I'm salivating at the memory :rotfl:
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

I am back to behaving :)

Fruit had been bought in, WW bread for lunches, weetabix stocked up, FF yoghurt in the fridge and tonight we had a yummy half syn beef stroganoff :)

Figured now I wasn't having the side effects of a dodgy tummy I'd have to lose weight the proper way! :rotfl:
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.
  • Hiya, I've just signed up here.

I've been on Slimming World for the past 6 weeks or so, and lost 8lbs so far. Have had a couple of blips along the way, but have got away with gaining only 0.5lbs - stayed the same a couple of times.

I've now joined the gym and have been 5 times this week, so I have my fingers crossed for a good loss at the weigh in on Wednesday.

Someone on here mentioned using HEA to reduce the syns of coffee - is that right? I love Costa's Skinny Caramel Latte which is about 6 syns I think for the medium one, which isn't excessive, but 6 syns could be put to better use.

I'm beginning to wonder if I made that up about needing to have a complete portion of HEs. I thought I heard it here or at a class. If I find confirmation I'll let you know (or perhaps you'd rather I didn't;)). I do remember one stand-in consultant (Area Manager) telling us you didn't need to have any HEs at all if you didn't want them.

I've had a gloriously syn free day which has been very welcome after weekend's excesses.

I'm out for a meal tomorrow night and I'm not choosing the restaurant so goodness knows what I'll end up with. I'll be really lucky to STS this week.
