The answer is 'probably yes' zippychick as I'm sure that following the plan to the letter has to be the best way because it's the way SW intended it. However, I know that if I'd needed to make drastic changes to my lifestyle then I would probably have given up because I was miserable. I could drink the same amount of wine spread across the week but I know I wouldn't enjoy it so much as I do by making my weekends different.

I generally as a rule stick with having 10 a day.....but still only lose 1 - 2lb a week (sometimes less) but I'm happy with how its coming off :o even if its been by the scenic route, at times I have been known to save a few syns up when I know I've got something planned for the weekend.... but I'm a hermit so it doesn't happen often :rotfl::rotfl:

SW is a 'plan for life after all.....so its got to a long term manageable thing - so why make drastic changes to your lifestyle when you don't have to ;):T keep up the good work....it obviously works for you hun :)

that's really helpful thank you. It's good to get different points of view. When we were given the initiation talk, the leader covered Syns but we weren't given individual amounts to use or any guidance about building them up etc so it's good to know what's worked for different people.:)

I ended up texting her asking how many syns I should have and she said ten would lead to better weight loss.

Still trying to get my head round how :o Perhaps it's the psychology

What's this dyno rod soup? :)

Meant to answer this and forgot (empty head lol :rotfl:)

Dyno Rod soup is FAB!!! it really does give you a good 'clear out' in the old bum department ;) Its real name was speed soup I think (because of all the speed veggies & pulses that go in it and you can lose weight quicker eating these)....but It was re named by me because of its ahem cleansing properties:D
It tastes like Heinz veg soup too so its really yummy :)....but it WILL make you do lots of botty burps....be warned lmao :rotfl::rotfl:

I need someone to kick me into shape. I still haven't started up again since my holiday (although keep losing weight for some reason - could well be the after effects of the illness I got on holiday ;))

Because I lost weight while I was away and still am I'm struggling to find the motivation to get back onto SW :(

I got a menu from the place Im off to tomorrow for lunch but it's a pdf. Is there a way I can share it for advice on best choice.?

    Hi Guys,

Quick smoothie question! I made some ice lollies just by blending a muller yogurt and a handful of fresh berries together and freezing. Does this need to be synned as it's pureed/smoothie? I know it's free and superfree but I remember reading on here a while ago that smoothies aren't free?
Is this the case or am I talking rubbish?! :D

    Thanks in advance

Youre right pureed fruit has syns value .28g blueberries pureed has 1 syn on all plans , strawberries 0.5 for the same quantity so it depends on the kind of berry :)

This completely baffles me, does anyone know why this is? I don't understand how eating the exact same thing in a different way causes it to gain syns...

I've thought it before when I read that eating an orange was fine but if you were to juice that orange the juice would have syns...

Been for a 5 mile bike ride with DH and the kids. I'm pooped but they're fine :D. Cooked the meat & potato pie from March's issue last night, but used beef instead of lamb. It was lovely. DH's birthday next week so we're going out for a curry tonight. Think I'll have the tandoori mixed grill, or the chicken shashlik as they shouldn't be as high in syns as a 'normal' curry. Really looking forward to it as we haven't been out for a meal for ages. Lost the half pound this week that I put on last week, so heading in the right direction again.
