I think the official line is to have syns on a daily basis. Personally I work on 105 a week (15 each day) and knock them off as I go saving most of them for wine syns at weekends. It's worked for me in that, taking the scenic route of 1 to 1.5lbs a week, I've lost 3st since October.
Interestingly, I've noticed lately (in this month's mag for example) that SW are saying just 10 syns a day. I think it's probably just a case of hedging bets and creating a buffer zone. Having lost weight on 15 a day I'm unlikely to change but what do others think?0 -
I limit myself to 12 syns a day, but I hardly ever use them all up, and I save a few each day for my night at the pub so I can have about 25 syns that day. Some days I have none without trying. Today i have been off work so made a big pan of hm veg soup and now looking at my food diary Ive only had 2.5 syns I just couldn't cram anymore food in today.
RED
B: Muller & fruit
L: HM veg soup & chicken on wm bread sandwich (HEB)Sirloin steak & massive salad with baby bells (HEA) and spoon of extra light mayo (0.5)
Milk in tea's (HEA)

Full pack of hot and spicy chicken wings (removed all skin)
Punnet of strawbs & muller light
Cadbury highlights (2)
I limit myself to one day a week where I go over the 12 syns (which is the night I go the pub). Rest of week I keep below! x0 -

Morning all, hope you all feel better than me. I feel really down today, not depressed [been there know what that feels like] just really down. I also took pain killers last night which stuck in my throat and still keep burning every so often. Really uncomfortable. Am off to see my mum [when hubby gets dressed ] so hopefully will cheer me up.
Will try my damndest to keep on track today as feeling bloated [* week] and totally yuk.
Keep the faith all x x xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Maman do you think you might have lost weight quicker having them daily? That's a genuine question as I have no idea!
Quorn have recently changed the recipe. If you have any in the freezer at 45 cals a sausage they are free. The newer version are 70 cals a sausage which aren't. I'm talking about the standard bag of frozen sausages. I had noticed while calorie counting.
Today i am having a cooked breakfast/lunch of bacon, beans, egg, toast HEB, spread 1, and loads of tomatoes. Yoghurt and strawberries.
Lunch/snack is small bowl tuna pasta with cheese HEA
Dinner is Malaysian Mee goreng from the July mag i think - the one before now. Lovely looking noodle dish with veg and tofu. Excited about that:j:D
Im wondering about the syns as I like to have afew drinks on a saturday night - trying to work out how much damage 4 or 5 vodkas would do . I wont be having any syns today to compensate - that's the plan anyway!
Fruit as snacks and yoghurt
Going to a noodle bar tomorrow so have asked them to email me a menu. Don't think i can go much wrong but it's good to look in advance and make choices. Helps me plan my menu too.
Yesterdays exercise totalled 25mins cycling, 5 lengths, and a 25minute walk.
Syns were 10 as I had a curly wurly.:p
Takeiteazy - see it as your last blowout and get back on track! Haven't you done really well so far? Im just reading and learning all your journiesSorry ive got my names mixed up ! I meant poohbear!
What's this dyno rod soup?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

zippychick - there is a link to recipies on the first page of the thread - dyno rod soup is on there!
It um - does good things in the bowel department - but it can be a bit windy - my family want me to live in the shed when ive had some!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
The answer is 'probably yes' zippychick as I'm sure that following the plan to the letter has to be the best way because it's the way SW intended it. However, I know that if I'd needed to make drastic changes to my lifestyle then I would probably have given up because I was miserable. I could drink the same amount of wine spread across the week but I know I wouldn't enjoy it so much as I do by making my weekends different.
I was quite good at the party last night. Mostly I had chicken (skin removed) and quiche (pastry removed) but I did have a very small sandwich, a few crisps and a tiny piece of celebration cake.
I'm not sure what I'm doing for lunch today. I've had my HEB so no sandwiches or toast. I think I may cook a few new potatoes and just munch them or perhaps conjour up a veggie stirfry.
EE menu:
B: HEB Puffed Wheat, banana, HEA milk, NAS squash and tea
L:???Philly pasta with bacon and mushrooms (need to check syns for Philly)
Snacks & Syns: fruit and wine0
