Hello again:wave:
I've been thinking about what blackberry-rum said about setting new targets. If you've got a fair bit to lose it makes real sense, both financially and psychologically, to set a series of smaller targets along the way. For Mrs T, for example, if you were to set a target of a stone before the wedding (others will advise whether that's too high/low) then when you reach it you could go for another stone or stone and a half and so on. The bonus is that you don't feel overwhelmed by the total amount you've got to lose and you save a few pounds when you're at target until you get three pounds below. Does that make sense?0 -
Sorry i have been MIA - i have been on first aid course for last 2 days

WI today, lost the 2.5lb gain from last week, but no more.
That will do though, am happy with that. 3 more pounds to lose and I am definately stopping as the new clothes I have bought are starting to get to big for me, and I can't afford to buy more, so will be maintaining soon wooohoooo, although I guess that won't change things cos I pretty much maintain most weeks anyway,

Pub tonight for a few large vodkas and for after pub munchies I will keep back some of my veg frittata and beans to heat up and have 4 alpen lights I think for HEB's, yummmmmmmmy

Hi All,
Found this thread when googling about slimming world and it seemed like a friendly place.....I am thinking about joining slimming world, I have only 9.5 weeks until my wedding and I am desperate to loose weight. I would like to lose 3 stone initially (I know i wont do this by the wedding but I can make a dent in it!) but need to lose about twice that.
Do you think that the groups are worth going to??
Anyway today I have so far had boiled eggs, apple and muller light. Not really sure where to go from there!!
Definitely worth joining a group to get all the info and the books if nothing else. It will cost you around £10 and you will be talked through the plan by the Consultant. If you have questions, don't be shy, ask away so that you come away from group feeling motivated and comfortable that you know what to do (if you do get stuck you can always ask on here).
You should be able to lose a stone before your wedding - though it's likely you'll put a certain amount on again whilst on honeymoon
It will make you feel more confident and the healthy food and lots of water should get your skin glowing for the event too.
I suggest you get the magazine in group if you do join as it's quite a saving on the shop price - it's full of recipes, info and inspiring stories and you're very likely to find one person who you can identify with, which makes you think "if they can do it, so can I".
Go for it
I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Hello
I have two words to describe today: chocolate and biscuits. I'm making people redundant at he moment and had such a stressy day I thought 'stuff it'. I was more restrained than I would have been once, so am pleased about that, if that makes sense.
Food apart from that was good, just need to sort out the snacking.
Green day:
Oats, berries and yogurt (b)
Cherries, banana, nectarine
Ryvita and laughing cow light (b and half an a)
Free soup for dinner
And a strong word with myself for pud!!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
