    Hi all

Congrats to Lilo Chops on her huge loss, bet you are glad you stuck with it.

My weight has stuck now, I know I am never going to get below what I weighed last week (before my gain )

Hi Susie. I haven't got any brilliant ideas (other than stick with it like you told Lilo Chops:p). Pleeeese don't despair, it will happen and meantime you're eating healthy food!

I've not had a good day foodwise but I have enjoyed myself.:D Breakfast was fine but I've been out for lunch and, although I had some syns in reserve, I think I may have overdone it. Fortunately portions weren't huge as it was one of those nouvelle cuisine places. And I volunteered to drive so drank only water and ate no bread! Having got my retaliation in first, I had:

Starter scallops and chorizo cooked in tempura with a mayonnaise dip
Main salmon fishcakes with poached egg and leaves in dressing plus some veg
Pudding Cheeseboard (I only ate the cheese and grapes and left the crackers)

I think I'll call today a very fleeeexi day:o If I'm hungry later it will be fruit, fruit and fruit. I was hoping to lose this week to make up for my holiday gain but never mind. I'm just going to go back on plan and hope for the best! Have a good evening everyone, especially if you've got WI.

Do watch the salt and general crap content of these though... same with the 'pasta n sauces'. I think my main annoyance with SW is they allow these as free... it really does go against the ethos of healthy fresh food which they seem to promote everywhere else. Wonder why they do it?

Because we all 'need food on the go' at one time or another ;)

    Hello
Back on the wagon today, and have eaten my own body weight in fruit, and also got through 2 litres of fizzy water at work. I've also...gulp...ordered the 30 day shred as it's about that long till my birthday and plan to get started tomorrow (as long as it arrives). I'll admit to being a bit scared!!
    My green day has been:
    oats, berries and yog (b)
    milk in tea (a)
a small punnet of grapes, small punned of cherries, 2 nectarines and a banana
    4 dark rye ryvita and 3 laughing cow light cheeses (0.5 x a, b)
    a kitkat (11)
and dinner will be spinach and potato curry from the freezer with brown rice.

If the poo fairies don't visit me tonight there is something seriously wrong with my insides!!

Hope you're all managing to keep dry!!

For Lucy Lastic and anyone else who may be interested:

saute half an onion in frylight for about 4 mins
add 3 cloves of chopped garlic, some black pepper and salt and saute for another minute, then add 2 tsp ground cumin and 1 tsp ground coriander and stir for anout 15 seconds to toast
Add 2 large chopped carrots, a teacup full of dried red lentils, half a teacup full of brown rice, a teaspoon of lemon zest and about half a litre of vegetable stock.
Let it simmer for about 40 mins until the lentils have dissovled and the rice is cooked
squeeze in the juice of at least half a lemon I like quite a lot as it makes it really zingy)
And there you have it, a free, filling and mega tasty soup.

I copied this from Isa Chandra Moskovitz's book 'Appetite for Reduction', a low fat, vegan cookbook which is just gorgeous.

    Happy souping!!!

back from WI, I was last one in as I hung around outside trying by one means or another to get rid of the bloatiness that always happens on a Tuesday! Anyway, with or without the methane within, I've lost 1.5 lb this week which is GOOD for me! Now I'm on a roll and have set myself 3 or 4 weeks to lose the rest of the 5.5 lbs to take me to my new target. Be Firm Be Firm Be Firm. I was glad to learn that those Quorn Red Leicester and Onion sausages, even with the new recipe, are only 1 syn each. I love 'em.

well done Yorkie! And good on yer for going back to class h007. I do find it difficult, I was bored to death tonight but every now and then there's a little gem that makes it worth staying. I do like most of the people in class, but why are there always a couple of people who really honestly think we all want to listen to them wittering on for 10 minutes about their week? You get them in evening classes too, the ones who try to take over. Luckily there's a new mag this week, I flicked through that in the dull bits. Right, off for a shower to see if I can see where 1.5 lbs has gone from (that's 3 x the pile of fat in my avatar!)

Well done blackberry-rum and yorkie. I love hearing the good news on WI nights.

The avvie is fun. I often help to carry out those sandbag things and the rubbery fat to the consultant's car if I'm there at the end. They weigh 1 stone 8lbs and theyr'e really heavy. Amazes me that I used to carry almost 3 times that around with me all day, every day!

Could you explain about setting a new target? Did you reach your first one and then go back to group later and decide to lose some more? I'm within half a stone of mine (was 3lbs off until I went on holiday:() and I think I'd like to set a new target to lose another half stone to give me leeway for 'seasonal fluctuations' (like holidays and Christmas;)). I'm a bit worried that maybe I'll look too thin and change my mind but I'd like to give it a try. Is that possible? How would it work?

Maman, I reset my target twice. Once when I was about 2 lb off my first target and when the consultant made her way round us that night she asked if I wanted to set my target lower and I said yes. I later realised this was silly for me and sensible for consultant - as it meant I didn't get any free weeks for reaching my target (thus she kept getting my dosh!) The next time I got near to target I didn't fall for it. I reached my target and stayed there 6 months and just recently decided to go half a stone lower to give me the leeway you mention, because I want to be a good bit below double figures! I kept going to group all the time though. You have to set a target half a stone (or more) lower than your previous target, if you see what I mean. I notice lately our consultant recommends people wait until they hit target and are possibly a pound or two below target because then you are already partway to your next half stone target. Not like silly me, I re-set my most recent target when I was a pound or two ABOVE my current target. No wonder I struggle with life in general is it? :rotfl: I'm a fool to myself :D
