Blue_monkey, i guess i read that you are pregnant in other thread.. are you doing the SW while pregnant ?
Anyone know if it is safe to do it while pregnant...i might be, i dont know yet but i have 1 stone to lose and would like to know if it is possible to grow a healthy baby and lose fat at the same time ?/ Thanks
Yes it's possible to do SW whilst pregnant. You need to get the backing of your midwife, but since the programme is so healthy there's no reason why you can't follow it. http://www.slimmingworld.com/health/policies-practices/pregnant-members.aspx0 -
Off on my hols for a week in the morning - (hopefully sunny) Wales,:) self catering so I will have a little control over what I eat :rotfl:and drink:rotfl::rotfl:
See you next week folks
Have a lovely holiday rockie. Which part are you going to?
Glad the fairy visited you dizzy, amazing what a few bowls of dyno-rod can do!:rotfl:
I've been EE today, as ever:
B: HEB porage with HEA milk and banana, NAS squash and tea
L: tuna nicoise salad, melon
D:SW chicken curry with rice and SW chips, yogurt and mint side
Snacks&Syns: Saturday wine Syns and while there's a fair bit of veg in my curry I may have a bowl of berries or an apple later to keep up the superfrees.
Have a good evening everyone, off to make my dinner0 -
Glad to hear your pooh news Dizzy!
Because I've been good I will post today's nosh:
Lots of fresh coffee with HEA skimmed milk
B: whole grapefruit, half a melon, strawberries and yoghurt
L: Home made celeriac soup* (one big bowl) with 3 pagan krisprolls (HEB) and some low fat cheese melted on krisprolls (4 syns but there wasn't 28g of cheese more like 15 so 2 syns)more soup, with leftover homemade pilau rice in it
Snacks: satsuma, kiwi, apple, prawns, glass of wine 6 syns
and in the freezer currently are some cooked gooseberries mixed with a toffee mullerlight to make a frozen gooseberry fool. There's a few syns (1-2) in cooked gooseberries (there were only 15 gooseberries I counted them!) and I added a spoonful of honey so that's 2 syns. I'll eat that later for a suppertime treat.
*see recipe thread:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

consultant31 wrote: »As you say you've started exercising for the first time I think your problem may be fluid retention. When you're new to exercise your muscles protect themselves from possible harm by surrounding themselves with extra water, this won't last long so you should see a loss after a week or two.
Don't forget to measure yourself as, especially with SW, inches tend to come off on weeks when there's no change on the scales.
The advise about weighing just once a week is sound - more than that and you're not going to get accurate readings anyway cos your weight fluctuates so many times a day.
Drink lots of water (and I mean lots) to help flush through toxins and make sure you're eating plenty of free and superfree foods. If you don't eat enough it won't work - honestly!
thats a good point I only drink water during my time at the gym - will try that - thanks for the hint will let you know how I get on. Thanks

Hello all!
Sorry I've not been around much lately - work and OH stress as usual.
Been to Southport for the first time today - don't know what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised - its really quite nice!
It's my weekend day off plan (maintaining) and I had a small fish and chips and shared with the dog (why do I always fancy it but am always fed up of it half way through?), a small icecream, a cake (again shared with woofer) and 2 glasses of wine.
I haven't eaten very well for the past two days (in fact I've been rubbish) and feel rubbish too - so its back on the tank tomorrow if you'll have me back?:(
Been shopping today and bought all the right stuff so I really have no excuse!
See you tomorrow in a better frame of mind.........0 -
HELLO ALL,
Thank you SO much DIZZY for sharing your terrific news - bet you feel better now!!
I have been dreadful this last few days - we have friends staying and I lost all the willpower I ever had. They go home later today so I really must take myself in hand and get back to the plan.
It's very quiet on here lately, wonder why?
Better get off to bed now (probably be up again in a couple of hours but hey ho!)
Night all xx0 -
Good morning people
Well done to all the losers and (((hugs))) to all the stugglers.
WI for me again today and ...................-2lb
Not doing anything different or special - just sticking to red and green days - more green than red most weeks though.
I did make a baked bean lasagne last week. Brilliant and easy.
2 tins of baked beans (free)
1 tin of chopped tomatoes (free)
1 Colmans seasoning packet of choice (6 or 6.5 depending)
Pre cooked lasagne sheets.
112g cheese - grated (HEa)
Just mixed up the beans and tomatoes with the packet mix and layered it with the lasagne sheets. Finished with sheets and sprinkled on the cheese and bake until golden brown.
Made 4 generous portions - you can add mushrooms if you want. I did some green beans as a side. T'was luverly - yummmMags - who loves shopping0 -

OMG, this would be my reaction if I was. No more babies for me as I am enjoying my family as it is for now (sometimes, LOL) I think you might have me mixed up with someone else!!!!!
My personal opion as I am not a doctor and it would be best to check with him/her - it depends on how overweight you are.
If it was just a stone I'd be inclined to wait, however if you was quite a bit overweight then losing some the 'bad' weight would help you have a healthy pregnancy and labour, while eating really well would give the beaby the best nutrients. I feel SW is an education into eating better too. I am not sure you would 'lose' anything on the scale because you'll be gaining, but the healthy diet would not harm the baby at all and in the early days you would not have much weightgain or need to eat more anyway.
I think we are all guilty of thinking we can over indulge when pregnant as we are 'eating for 2' but for me, it tended to be more of the bad stuff. Eating more of the good stuff would not do you any harm at all.0 -
