    Snack - apple
    L - mugshot, toms, 2x cheese straw [4], p/white [2.5], fruit salad, activia
    Snack - fruit salad, onken

Great offer on at our local gym - ladies only, if enrolled before end of June it is costing £14.99 for a month with a free one to one and induction. Just back from WI after an absence of 2 weeks and believe it or not am delighted to announce a 2lb gain! Normally I would be reaching for a tissue to sob into but I have to confess that after a perfect week in Lake Garda where the wine flowed copiously and the dinners were 5 courses including fresh pasta and olive oils (and dessert which I don't normally take!) and of course not forgetting the Aperol Spritz and the ice cream - 2lb doesn't seem too big a price to pay! And of course, the fact that I continued to pretend I was still there in the week that just passed.
    Now I just have to tell myself to get on the Dizzy wagon and stay there for the rest of the summer- extra strong superglue required!
    A diet is the penalty we pay for exceeding the feed limit!:rotfl:
    Joined SW 13/9/10 - wanted to lose 56lb and lost 26lb! Rejoined on 9/1/12 having gained 17lb of my loss!!! :(
    Want to lose 50lb. 50 - 8.5 = 41.5 to go!

    Funny you've posted this just as I was writing my pathetic rant!! Will be watching with interest as I haven't dealt with the emotional issues linked to my weight!

    Anna x

    Your rant wasn't pathetic, it came from the heart and I think a lot of us would identify with your feelings. Many people (women in particular) are emotional eaters and until those emotions are sorted it makes healthy eating very hard.

    Something my Mum always says is to count your blessings and, though it can sometimes seem difficult to see blessings in everyday life, I'm sure we all have something to be proud of, be it our children and their successes, being debt-free, or even being a good homemaker.......it's worth looking for the silver lining and ignoring the cloud ;)

    I posted below about becoming a SW consultant - does anyone have any ideas of the costs involved?

    Thanks in advance if you can help me.

    I'm a retired Consultant and things have changed a lot since I started my groups but the last time I had a member want to start a group of her own, the cost was in excess of £1000.

    This includes your training and the stock/stationery you need to get you started.

    I presume you have lost weight with Slimming World as you would need to show proof of membership and losses.

    If you go to a group now, you should ask your Consultant to take you to one of the regular 'events' where you can learn everything you need to know with no obligation.

    If you're prepared to put in the work leafletting, having regular retraining etc you can make your initial outlay back in a couple of months as your wages are linked to the number of members you get through the door.

    Hope that helps :)

    Good afternoon
    I don't like to complain about the nice weather, but I've got such a pressure headache my ears actually popped when I was at work today. We really need a good thunderstorm to clear the air.
    So, today's been good so far, green as ever:
    oats, berries, yog (B)
    banana
    apple
    salad, 3 pagens and 3 babybel lights (A and B)
    Gigantic banana (I know 2 a day isn't great for weight loss but I was starving and it was this or the chocolate machine)
    And dinner is a monster jacket potato with cottage cheese and salad, which I can't wait to eat because I'm still starving!

    Then I'm going to spend the evening with Andre Agassi (his autobiography, not the real thing sadly)

    Have a good evening everyone!!!

    Here I am Confused, back from holiday with my Mum at a Warner place where the food was lovely and there was lots of it.

    Unfortunately with only having a couple of weeks between coming back from a fortnight's cruise and this little jaunt, I spent the weekend avoiding the scales. However, I got on this morning and found it wasn't half as bad as I expected - only 7½lbs over both hols and I'm happy with that :)

    Anyway, it's good to be back and I shall try very hard to be good and get that off before I'm away again at the end of July.

    Dizzy, I'm glad to see you're recovering from your op and still cheerful - you're amazing :D

    MrsM reporting for duty :D -after an all point bulletin from TakeIEazy :p

    Sorry to have been a slack Alice -but Im back (will catch up with all the info I have missed in a mo)-so hugs to those in need and :T to those with losses :j

    Can't remember when I last posted :o -so not sure if I have mentioned that we now have a date for moving back to the UK..... I have about 20weeks -so "operation *target in time for moving home* has been activated :rotfl:
    Yesterday showed a 1.5lb loss :j Im more than happy with that as Friday whilst playing badminton I kn*ckered my achillies -did it good and proper this time :doh: -hubby was threatening to take me to hospital as I was having to drag my foot behind me _pale_ but lots of painkillers, rest and ice packs and Im on the mend -but Im banned from the gym all week :cry: -but I haven't been eating very much because of the painkillers -but Im on the mend -and all in all its no biggy ;)

    I have done a huge stock take of the freezers now I know I have to empty them and so far I have made a meal plan of main meals to last 15 weeks :rotfl: -and still stuff left over for lunches etc -so Im trying to spend as little as possible until we move back ;), mind I have looked online at tesco and now that we eat less volume and won't have to pay £6 for things like coffee and weetabix :eek: -we are going to be able to buy mainly organic for the same money we spend out here :j

    My other priority when I get back is to approach SW to see if they will have me as a consultant :p and if not Im setting up camp in their head office until they give in *muahahah*
    Right -enough jabber -I will get off and catch up.. have a lovely evening all...

    Just found this and hope it may make you smile :_

    Diet for stressed women!

    This is a specially formulated diet designed by the eminent Dr. Neil to help WOMEN cope with the stress that builds during the day.

    BREAKFAST
    * 1 Grapefruit
    * 1 slice whole-wheat toast
    * 1 cup skim milk

    LUNCH
    * 1 small portion lean, steamed chicken with a cup of spinach
    * 1 cup herbal tea
    * 1 Penguin Biscuit

    AFTERNOON TEA
    * The rest of the Penguins from the packet
    * 1 tub of Haagen Dazs ice cream

    DINNER
    * 4 bottles of wine (red or white)
    * 2 loaves garlic bread
    * 1 family size Supreme pizza
    * 3 snickers bars

    LATE NIGHT SNACK
    * 1 whole cheesecake (eaten directly from the freezer)

    REMEMBER:

    The word 'stressed' spelled backwards is desserts"

    Finally, here's some advice for you:

    Dr. Neil proclaimed the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started.

    So I looked around my house to see things I started and hadn't finished; and, before leaving the house this morning, I finished off a bottle of Pinot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bottle of Baileys, a packet of Penguins, the remainder of a bottle of Prozac and one of Valium, the rest of the Cheesecake, some sultanas and a box of chocolates....my inner peace is assured!
