Does anyone else 'treat themselves' if they have lost after a weigh in?
Yesterday I had my usual treat of crisps and I have realised something, it is not the 'eating' of them I like but more the taste and the feeling in my mouth, the crunchiness. They do not actually fill me up. I did think that I could chew the food and then spit it out. How many calories will I be eating then? Why has no-one thought of this before?? Surely it could be the best weight loss plan every where you can chew as much nice stuff as you like as long as you spit it out.
I'm sure Elton John used to do that at one point...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Morning all. Well I stuck to the plan yesterday for the first time since the wedding! I'm going to be making cupcakes for DH tomorrow so hopefully I can behave with them around! I'll just make myself a smaller one with a teeny bit of frosting on to minimize the syns then let him eat the rest!!
Today will be EE but trying to get in maybe 50% superfrees rather than the usual third.
Brekkie - Porridge (HEA&B), banana, grapefruit
Lunch - cajun spicy rice with beef and veggies in, salad, melon, strawbs
Snack - Not sure but will have something as tea won't be till after 9pm as OH on late shift. Will probs include some syns here. Ooh might make some HM bruschetta topping and have it with a toasted pitta for 6 syns!
Tea - cottage pie, veg, gravy (3)
Also hoping to get a walk tonigh, the sun is shining at present so fingers crossed, my good intentions were ruined last night by a torrential downpour just as I got home!0 -

Good Morning Folks
The sun is shining - BUT I AM NOT.
This morning was WI morning - duly stood on scales - and for the 3rd week running since I started this, I have stayed the same - no loss, no gain, big fat blinking nada. I know this plan seems to work for all you guys, but I am beginning to doubt if it will have any effect on me whatsoever - I know that I am eating more healthily - and I do feel better, but I so would have loved to have lost SOMETHING. Admittedly I didn't measure myself - so maybe I have lost inches? I think I am just fooling myself though. I have mixed things up with the plan - EE, green days and red days - still nothing - and my plans look grand…….and I have been very good with my syns - even small changes I have made should have made a difference in my opinion - when I would have scoffed humungous bag of crisps (meant for sharing but I never did) with a bottle of wine, I had a 28g bag of baked crisps with two glasses of wine. Plus, my ahem, bathroom habits have increased - I should have lost some weight for the exercise in running to the loos here in work at the very least - up and down two flights of stairs………..Anyway - I have decided to give it another two weeks and then I will revisit - so you are stuck with me for a bit……I guess Annie, Bikini-Body and myself all feel the same at the moment
Today's plan is as follows:
B Magic porridge (muller light, oats and blackberries)
S Strawberries
L Scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes
S More berries !! And grapes
D No idea yet - chicken, passata, tomatoes, muchrooms, courgettes, onions, garlic, peppers and pasta seem to be calling me.
Syns - will be limited amount of wine and a small bag of baked crisps - tis the weekend after all…...

Hi Lilo chops, I do feel for you and I feel the same! before i started SW i was eating a lot more as in chocolate every night, crisps at lunchtime etc etc. wasn't holding back at all. so i thought i would see the benefits immediately and a few pounds worth. but no! hopefully we are just slow starters and next week you will have lost 3lb all in one go! and me! fingers crossed!!! xSTS, STS, -1:), STS, -3 :T, -1:), STS, STS, -1:T, -1:j, STS :j (post-holiday!), +1:(, -1:), -10

Annie, Lilo-chops et al, keep at it! Now that you've highlighted your concerns, keep posting menus here and we'll try to comment more often on them. Maybe that would help?!Anyway, I think today was ok, but if anyone sees anything that makes them think 'what on earth are you eating that for?', please tell me!
Green day:
scrambled eggs on toast (B) did you count your toast correctly? A HEb portion is 2 slices from a small (400g) wholemeal loaf, or one slice from a normal (800g) wholemeal loaf.
2 apples, 3 apricots, a banana, some cherries and some strawberries (spread out through the day) all of these should be fresh fruit, not dried (just thinking about the apricots really)
4 ryvita and 3 babybel lights (a plus b) have you checked the type of ryvita you have allows you to have 4? I usually have the multigrain ones and only 3 are allowed for a HEb.
salad any dressing?
watermelon
and dinner was pasta with lemon juice, salt and pepper. Completely devoid of nutrients but I wanted rubbish so thought I'd have syn free rubbish rather than going to the shop and getting biscuits, which to be honest I'm still very tempted to do.
Oh, and I had a wispa at work cos I was having a mega stressful day - 11 syns.
So I've had 2 Bs, one A and 11 syns.
Going to sulk and feel sorry for myself now!!0 -

I would think after 3 weeks you would be seeing a difference . Keep posting here and as I said to Anni we'll try pay more attention.
Looking at your menu above though, this extra easy yes? So the oats are your HEb. Where is your HEa? I don't know much about how many syns are in wine, but I imagine its quite high? Are you sure you're measuring it properly, as I know the crisps are about 5syns so I can't see there is room for much wine (if you're wanting to stay on plan)
