Wouldn't that be great, can you imagine MrsM though? She'd look like a pearly queen with all her stickers :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:perhaps she could have them all on a sandwich board thingy :rotfl:

Oh my goodness.........I've just bought a Flabelos machine (well, a power-plate thing). Ooh I'm so excited, we tried one out at the Ideal Homes Show in March and I wobbled where I really shouldn't have. Hopefully this will help to see off the wobbly bits :)
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

I went along to a meeting thinking that I'd do it part time on top of my full time job (I already do self employed extra work so I'm used to committing 15 hours a week to that) anyway, I decided that I just wouldn't have the time for it!

I thought it would be great to run a group at work. Lots of concentrated people, I'd get cheap/free rent and marketing would be great i.e only really leafleting the housing estate next door.

Turns out it wouldn't really be possible. There are so many expectations from SW on what you have to do. I see why they do it as they don't want failing groups, but I don't see it as a part time job.

Your very kind! Its a business function at a posh london 5 star hotel-at least if its good quality they might not mind if I ask for variations on the meal-I hope.alternativly it might be a choice of 3 things-none suitable,oh well I could scrape the sauces off!Avoid wine and dessert too!
There's no sin (and no syn) in scraping off anything ... or in leaving things on the plate! It's yours, you've paid for it, just leave what isn't good for you! :D

Just back from a nice lunch. Made wise choices so other than a bit of oil/butter in the cooking and a tiny piece of bread it was all SW friendly. That includes the fizzy water I was drinking, DH is a very happy bunny cos I volunteered to drive.

Question I was planning to buy some asparagus tomorrow as English is in season. Anyone recommend a tasty but low/free syn way of cooking it?

I do it in a flattish dish in the microwave with a splash of water and a loose cover, a couple of minutes cooks it enough for me. Then I drain any remaining liquid and sprinkle with Butterbud granules. But in fact half an ounce of butter is such minimal syns that it's worth it for your first asparagus of the year :D

off to read the rest of the thread now, blimey I sleep for a few days and then have to spend a week catching up!

Oh fish! Who feels they have to eat fish? Why? Why eat anything you dont particularly like? I don't eat carrots (or sprouts), never have and never shall. On the other hand you might want to try prawns, I believe they are a speed food. Or smoked salmon, yummy and free. But no cheese sauce ;)

    Hello everyone :)
Please can I join you?? I dont go to a group as I simply cant afford it so I'm pinching all the info off here and my friend who goes, and doing it myself. At least I'm going to try :S so please be gentle with me.

I've had a bad day food-wise, demolished nearly a whole galaxy easter egg when I got home from work cuz I felt c*ap, made no difference at all and now I'm just annoyed with myself, and I'm drinking diet cherry coke which I doubt will do me much good either.
    :(

Trying to redeem myself at teatime though, got two small jacket potatoes in the oven that I will have with baked beans, is this good??

I have no idea what I'm doing, but I know that it's about time my weight (9st12.5) started to come back down before I look like a whale (I'm only 5ft4 so look ridiculous if I hit 10st) just in time for the summer.

So now I'm off to read the rest of the thread for inspiration

    xxxxx
*ahem* careful Lizzie B, I'm 5 ft 4 and think I look fab at the weight you say you are! Other people think so too.

Yes, I thought of doing it at work too! I'd even gone so far as checking with the powers that be if I could use one of our meeting rooms (yes, free) and if they would object on top of my "day" job (not at all, all for it!). But it sounds as if I'd be told where I had to run a class and that's no use to me as I am NOT allowed to let an extracurricular job impinge on my main job, it's in our T&C. What a shame!

    Hello all,

Hope you don't mind as this question is not SW related but I have got some Best Western Tesco rewards vouchers and have just realised that I have to book something up before the middle of this month otherwise I will lose the lot! I thought I might book OH and me a 2 night break Harrogate (I fancy Bettys Tea Rooms and I WILL be back in target range by September when we go) Just wondered if anyone knew any decent hotels that take the vouchers? Thanks in advance. x

I've just come back from Harrogate and while I stayed at the Majestic (not sure if they take vouchers) lots of my friends stayed at the Old Swan
    http://www.classiclodges.co.uk/The_Old_Swan_Hotel_Harrogate

I'm told it's really good. I think availability will vary as to whether there's a conference on in the town. I think they take Tesco Rewards but I don't know a lot about them as I shop a Asda!

If you do get to Harrogate, there is a chinese restaurant in the Royal Baths which is just great. Beautiful architecture and fabulous food. Not really SW friendly, but if you go easy on breakfast and lunch.... ;)

I feel I need to start with a confession! After weighing in on Thursday I ate way too many syns that evening, sort of thinking I could take myself off plan for Thursdays once I'd weighed in. Then we had friends round yesterday evening and although I was 'compliant' with the meal and lots of crudites I got carried away with the crisps, had a granary baton and DH topped my wine glass up an extra time.

So I need to have 5.5 days of really good plans now because I don't want to lose the momentum after feeling and seeing the weight fall off in my first week. And my boys want me to bake tomorrow (HUGE resolve required if I'm going to get through that!). I think the Superfree foods must have been key for my fast start, so I'm going to stock up on those again and munch all day long if I want to!

On the plus side, I wore a top yesterday that I haven't worn for at least 3 years!

    Have a great weekend everyone.
