Hi all, thought it was about time i posted! This thread is great and everyone seems really encouraging and helpful - so im going to jump on. Started SW 5 weeks ago and have lost 13 1/2 lbs already, although i do find some of the syns a little confusing to work out esp when it comes to recipes. Well thats it really, oh and congrats to all the losers!

Afternoon all - I'm back after a day's enforced exile by the broadband going duff! Funny how much you miss it when you know you can't use it!

Yesterday was ok, kept to plan and had 7 syns.

Congratulations to all of the losers - flipping well done!!

Had a phone call from my consultant out of the blue today asking me whether I would be interested in going to a potential consultants meeting on Sunday - not sure what to make of it really.... I think I may be interested but its a big commitment to other people and with teaching all day it may be a bit much - depends on what the money is like I suppose (anybody know?)

    Today's food has been...
Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - egg sandwich (B choice) (1.5 syns for a teeny bit of mayo), mixed berries, satsuma
Tea - new potatoes, boiled egg, lettuce, tomato, Ainsley couscous (1 syn), LC extra lights (A choice), 2 quorn sausages
    Treats - jelly (0.5 syns)

So that's 2 B choices, 1 A choice and 3 syns - the syns will probably increase as the night wears on!

Rockie4, where do you buy your Natco cornmeal? I have looked on MySupermarket.com, but none of the big 4 stock it. I really like the idea of making a loaf tin full. :)

I have bought it from Tesco, only about £1 in store though, just checked and its not available to add if you do an online shop. Hope that helps :)

Natco cornmeal can be found in most african-carribbean shops.

Large asdas in multi-cultural areas sometimes sell it. I know loads of places in london that sell it :D

I've done two days 100% now - today has been:

    B'FAST Mushrooms, egg, beans

LUNCH Smoked salmon and scrambled egg

DINNER Beef and veg curry and rice

Snacks have been : Banana, FF yoghurt and one slice of ham.

I will have a hi-fi bar later with a cup of tea so that's my HEB and milk in my teas will be the HEA.

My WI is not until Wednesday evening so here's hoping! Good luck for tomorrow. x
