    Snacks - mullerlight and apple
Lunch - smalls beans on 1 slice of WM toast (1/2 Heb2)

    Thats all i've eaten from 8:30am - 6:30pm

Having a quorn spag bol for tea later with courgette, peppers and onions in. Going on a friends birthday night out, so saving my syns for some alcohol later on.
  • Hi guys well at last I went back on Wednesday (with a friend who is new to SW) I have put on about 1/2 stone since the last time (about 6 months ago) I went  I really want to get a stone off. I still cant get my head around EE but Im happy with green days for now until I get stuck again.

I was really very shocked to learn at the meeting that a Weatherspoon's Jacket Pot is 23 syns:eek: because they fry them!! Got me to thinking how many other places cook things in strange ways, whilst we think we are picking the best thing on the menu???

Good luck to everyone - I hope the weekend is kind to you all :rotfl:

Well done losers, some fantastic losses there :T:T:T
Had a good day so far:
B - weetabix hot water, splash of milk [part a], coffee
L - left over pasta bake [a+b], fruit salad, onken
T - sw chips, 2x quorn sausages, spaggy hoops, egg, splash olive oil [2], bbq sauce [1]
Snacks - 2x chunks chocolate [5], banana, apple
    Syns - 8
The banana I had was yuk, ate most of it then found a hard bit, made me gag [tmi sorry]. Hope I have a good day tomorrow then WI sunday.

I try to stick 100% to plan mon-fri then have weekend off but have been over doing the last couple of weekends so will try to be 100% tomorrow as well. I also try to have extra HEs to help maintain but don't always fit them in. I don't go down the extra syns route [intentionally :D] as has been suggested as thats what got me in trouble in the 1st place :rotfl:. Notice lots of 'trys', I do my best :rotfl:.

    Hello all,

Hope you don't mind as this question is not SW related but I have got some Best Western Tesco rewards vouchers and have just realised that I have to book something up before the middle of this month otherwise I will lose the lot! I thought I might book OH and me a 2 night break Harrogate (I fancy Bettys Tea Rooms and I WILL be back in target range by September when we go) Just wondered if anyone knew any decent hotels that take the vouchers? Thanks in advance. x

the one thing I have noticed that I refuse to budge on is my full fat milk, so how will this count as allowances?? will it just be syns or am I just being very naughty??

    xxxxx

I can almost guarantee that within a week of using semi-skimmed you wouldn't go back to full fat milk. I drink skimmed (after years on the ff stuff) and to me now, the full fat tastes really greasy.

You still get 175mls of full fat as a HEA if you want it, any extra and you'd need to syn it at ½ syn per tablespoon (which doesn't go far).
I let my mind wander and it never came back!

Had a phone call from my consultant out of the blue today asking me whether I would be interested in going to a potential consultants meeting on Sunday - not sure what to make of it really.... I think I may be interested but its a big commitment to other people and with teaching all day it may be a bit much - depends on what the money is like I suppose (anybody know?)

It's a while since I became a Consultant and it cost around £400 then. I believe it's more like £800+ now for you to get the franchise and the bits and bobs you need to get a good looking room layout.

You are told where and when you run the group, it's not like you can say oh I'll do a Tuesday group in my local village. SW prefer there to be several groups in any one area so that members can move from one to another if the timings are more convenient.

I loved it for the first few years but the Sunday meetings (from 10am to 2pm - just on family lunch time) and the Friday night meetings began to get me down. The leafletting is outrageous.......3000 per group every Bank Holiday, and it had to be done on the Sunday and Monday so as not to clash with any other mail

You get 25% of takings if the group is small, 40% for a group over about 30 members and 50% for a big group. The commission on biscuits is only 10p per pack so not really worth counting. You need a spare room as the amount of stock and paperwork you have to carry is enormous.

Re-reading this, it looks as if I hated it, which isn't so. I still see many of my members around town and they are so nice and I still care about how they're doing, but I'm glad I finished.......maybe I'm just getting old but I found it took sooo much of my time away from the family. Anybody who tells you it takes 15 - 20 hours a week is either super-organised or telling porkies IMO. There's loads of planning for each weekly group and then the support calls etc during the rest of the week.

Hope that helps - if you're a really hard worker and enjoy putting in the hours promoting your group (winter and summer alike) you can make a healthy living but you can't afford to ease up at all.
I let my mind wander and it never came back!
