Arghh, men! So the OH hates vegetables (yes, I know) other than potato, pickled beetroot and mushrooms and is trying SW.

He doesn't like most green day food because he is a big meat eater whereas I'm more of a green day eater ;) so we're trying to think of red day meals so that we can have the two HEs for lunches. But the problem is the recipes are fine but what on earth do people have on the side? Usually it'd be potatoes, rice, pasta but these are all making it EE. How do you guys do it?
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.

    morning all!

Well I'm back on the SW wagon after my overnighter in london...which stuck pretty well to SW principles.....:D

On Saturday I had breakfast at home - porridge and fruit. lunch - we found a cafe where I was able to have a tuna salad. I ignored the cheese (can't stand it) and the eggs and ate the tuna, cucumber, pasta (it was dressed - so I'll add 5 syns for that - cos there wasn't a lot), carrot, red cabbage, sweetcorn and tomatoes.:D

Sadly Saturday tea wasn't so good and i succumbed to a huge portion of chips! ( and very nice they were too!):o:o;)

Yesterday breakfast was a usual - I took the porridge with me and bought some fruit and milk there.
Lunch was a curried chicken and spicy rice salad from M&S - i think it's about 8 syns...:D

Tea, back at home was chicken cooked in the oven with a sprinkling of fajita seasoning and a salad.

The only other syns were 1 chocolate caramel and a piece of chocolate - yes i managed to have one piece!

To the person who asked about the Y Hostel - it was brilliant! It's on Noel Street, which is just off Oxford Street. it doesn't have disabled access - and it's a long way up the stairs if you're on the top floor...but 5 of us stayed for £70! (Plus £3 each temporary memebership!)

It has been recently refitted to a very high standard - DD2 and i had a nice room with a set of bunks in - the bunks were metal and DD2 found the ladder quote hard but apart from that!

The kitchen was brilliant and the lounge area had some very massive comfy bean beags in! Showers and toilets were immaculate and reception was manned 24/7!

    I would heartily recommend it!

And as for the theatre - there aren't words - but I will try - David Tennant and Catherine Tate were awesome! The comic timing was of genius proportions - as good as Morecombe and Wise or the silent film greats - Chaplin, Keaton etc.

When we got out of the theatre it was tipping it down - and both of the stars came out and signed autographs - both DD1 and I got them both! I was so impressed - this was after a matinee!

In the evening DD2 and her mate went back to the theatre to try and get better photographs - which they did - and there aren't woreds to describe how delerious they were when they got back to the youth hostel.... because of this:-

Well done Mags :T:T:T:T and Mrs M :T:T:T:Tand all the other losers :T

Dizzy - glad the op went well and I'm sure you'll lose at least 5lb when they take your bandage off :rotfl:

    Cycling yorkie - fab photo!!!!!

    Right :o
Will someone give me a well deserved kick up the a*se???
I weighed this morning with a 2lb gain so I’ve given myself a good telling off:naughty::naughty::naughty::naughty:
I deserve it,:o I’ve messed about for the last few weeks – few days on, few days off and it’s no good! :naughty:It took me a year to lose a stone (medication probs) and I’ve no intention of putting it back! I go away 2 weeks today and NOTHING is going to get in my way, I lose slowly anyway so to get those 2lbs off before I go will be good – any more is a bonus;)
    Green day as always:D
    B: polenta, eggs, ketchup (1)
L: Salad, cottage cheese, HB eggs
D: Baked bean lasagne (HEB for cheese) strawberries and yoghurt
Snacks: I’ve made a huge pot of fruit salad to munch on through the day and I’ll probably have a fibre plus bar for my other HEB. Any syns will be minimal:)
I've nearly finished one bottle of water and will fill it up to consume this afternoon and I'll go for a walk at lunchtime, it looks really nice out and I need to get out of here for a bit:(

I thought SW had a boot camp style weeks menu for if you were really struggling (& I am). A set menu?

I asked my consultant & she said no, just eat lots of SS foods?

Has anyone ever heard of this menu from SW?

    Morning all

STS the same (again!) for me this week, though I'm pleased with that after Take That and a night out this week! I am a bit fed up of how life can sometimes get in the way of SW - I know you can make better choices when eating out but sometimes as a veggie that's not so easy in restuarants when you have such limited choice. I'm out for food tonight for my mum's birthday (chinese so should be ok), and then I'm away for the weekend in London which I will struggle with as it will be breakfast/lunch/dinner out. No alcohol though, but I know I'll still struggle.

ps not sure if I should ask this on the SW thread but has anyone tried 'hypnoband' or 'virtual gastric band'? I have had one session of 'weight loss hypnotherapy' earlier this year, but she wasn't fully qualified, just a trainee. I haven't put on weight since then despite going way off plan for a few weeks! but I'm not entirely convinced it actually worked. However this looks interesting...

they did feature it on the embarrassing bodies show about large people a couple of weeks ago - but she was doing it in conjunction with SW and exercise, so how you tell i don't know......

the play was Much ado About Nothing and it was truely awesome!
