oh little things please little minds :rotfl:
Glad to see you're back Dizzy, poor you all battered (like the fish :rotfl:) and bruised but will be worth it in the end. X xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
Keep the Faith All

why am I so starving.........Have used most of syns ......have eaten a mug shot but STILL can't tame the hunger ;(
You should not be hungry if you're eating as per the plan. Mug Shots may be free and quick to make but they're not filling IMO. Just as quick to make and a sight for satisfying would be a jacket potato topped with a tin of baked beans - yum, real comfort foodI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Welcome back Dizzy
Hope you enjoyed every mouthful of your post-op meal - you can count zero syns for fish and chips when you're suffering :rotfl:

Dizzy, welcome back, come on let's haul her back onto the wagon. Mmmmm fish & chips sounds lovely
I'm 5'4" WelshWoofer and my aim was to get into single figures which I did and had lots of compliments - then I decided I wanted to be in the bottom half of the 9st range and boy am I finding it difficult to apply myself. It's all to do with state of mind, I know.x__Indigo_x wrote: »hi all just been looking on the reciepe thread can someone tell me what is 'scan ban'- or is there somewhere which lists all the appreviations used on these threads ? thanks!!!! xx
Indigo, Scan Bran is a ryvita type crispbread (but it tastes worse than ryvita) available in packets from Slimming World classes or from Holland and Barrett. It is short for Scandinavian ... branbut is actually called Scan Bran on the packet.
:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Well, all nice things have been eaten and to be honest I feel a bit yukky. I think your tolerance for not so good stuff drops!
In a weird way I'm looking forward to getting back on the tank tomorrow.
AND WELCOME BACK DIZZY!!!!

A) on * week so stomach is a bottomless pit
b) Later eating tonight as I normally eat with the kids @ fiveish0 -
Have you thought about cutting down on syns. I am 11 and a half stone and I have between 5 and 8 syns a day.
If I had more I would sts ( I do have thyroid issues though so weight doesn't budge as quickly as for others!) Perhaps cut down for a week and see if it makes any difference....now you are lighter you might not need as many
I usually aim for 12 syns a day, but no i hadn't thought about dropping the syns, although I keep a food diary, and find majority of days I have about 7 or 8 syns, saying that I go mad on a wed night at the pub and use up all the spare syns I saved, so I guess that doesnt count lol. Ok, I think your right, its something to try, definately, thank you
Dizzy, glad all went well and you are back in the comfort of your own home. Fish and chips and a magnum, I cant think of better comfort food, GOOD CHOICE! and well deserved :T
Welshwoofer, definately think losing 6 inches of hair will get you in the single figures, let me know how much you lose, and if its a few pound I will consider it myself :rotfl:0 -
Good morning folks
WI day for me today and .......................drumroll please
-4lbs
That also gives me my 3.5 stone shiney.
What have I done different? I have added in more superfrees - I am taking in a dish of fruit to snack on during the day at work. I love oranges but they are a bit messy to peel in the office so I peel one before I go to work and add some, at the moment, cherries - mind you - that is only when I am feeling flush - they are ruddy expensive at the moment
I do red and green days - 4 green and 3 red. I need to keep a mix of foods to stop myself getting fed up with my food. Some weeks it 4 red and 3 green. This week it has been 2 green and 5 red. Not many weeks the same so I have the variety. I do have an Alpen bar every night as my 'treat' so I am not saying I am squeaky clean and only eat 'proper' food - I am still human you know
Oh yes - another thing - I have not only passed a milestone loss figure but smashed it!
-52lbs
I have been doing SW for 23 weeks now with only a couple of blips - mothers day and a holiday in Crete. I stick to the plan like glue. None of this 'I'm bored/sad/happy/tired/hungry/fed up' type of excuses. One of the reasons I am any of these is because I am fat. I have clothing in my wardrobe that hasnt seen light of day for several years. Its clothing I loved to wear but couldn't get it close - well not anymore - I went shopping in my wardrobe and lots of stuff now fit and can be worn - Lots of stuff will go on (breathing is restricted and movement is minimal) but in a few short weeks they will fit again.
I bought some huge shorts for my holiday a couple of years ago and couldn't fasten themI tried them on yesterday - at long last they fit like shorts and not knickers
So what is the answer - read the plan - learn it and follow it - it does work if you are committed to improving both your appearance and health.
Gosh what a load of rambling from me this morning (can you tell I am stoked!)Better shut up now and get some much smaller clothing on
Welcome back Dizzy - glad to hear (pun) everything went well and you are on the road to recoveryMags - who loves shopping0
