i am off to london this weekend which will be a challenge!

We are staying in a youth hostel ( cheapest accom we could find!) and i need ideas for breakfast for me and DD2! Normally I'm a porridge and a ton of fruit gal, but we are limited on what we can carry.

Has anyone got any ideas? I don't want to be succumbing to temptation...
if you don't want to carry stuff, buy it from a local shop when you get there, there's bound to be one - mullerlights or your favourite, some packs of ready prepared fruit, maybe pack yourself some light cheese if you enjoy that and a couple of ryvita or something. YH's usually have a kitchen and fridge, you put your stuff in and mark it (you probably know this!), you can even measure out some porridge into a plastic bag and take it, there'll be bowls and microwaves and stoves and everything. Enjoy it and report back - I've only stayed in rural YHs never a central London one :D
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

Nessie - am doing SW at home - classes not really practical at moment :(
Also - have been drinking loads of water - might just qualify for Olympic peeing event......
I weighed myslf in the nip - not pretty - same time as last week.....

I didn't measure myself tho - maybe there will have been some changes here??? Must try that later, and then compare next week...

Thanks for all the help - as Mr T say, every little helps....

I only lost .5lb in my first week. 11 months later it's 3 stone 5.5lbs gone!

However I feel rubbish today......PMT like it's going out of fashion - and I'm going away tomorrow! I know what a change of H2O does to me too!;););) I don't want not to be in control - but the people we're going with are quite likely to end up in the golden arches (cos they think it's cheap!)

Thanks for the ideas... will take some teabags and see how it goes. The YH is central London so there must be some shops nearby...
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j

    I have an emergency question:
I have heard that quorn sausages have been changed and are no longer free.
Is this true, and if so, can we start a petition and send it to the makers of quorn products and demand a u turn?
What on earth are we going to do???

Bleurgh! Quark is horrid stuff, I tried to put some garlic in a tub of it to make a topping but quark is such an odd texture. So, my professional opinion is that it'd be minkin' :p

To be honest, I ade a dessert with natural yogurt, quark and cad higlights in it the other day and it wasn't that bad. So, rather than 2 points on the highlights, thought I might melt the chocolate spread.

I've just made some twinks hobnobs but have modified the recipes and am waiting for them to go hard so I can eat 1 (or 2)

    100g flour (15)
    75g sugar (15)
    75g Marg (30)
    100g Oats (18)
    1tbs syrup (2)
Water and 1/8 tsb bicarb (0)

Total 80 for 13 hobnobs. Some are big so I reckon I'd get 20 out of it if I made smaller balls. So that is around 2.5 syns each, as it stands I reckon 8 syns per big biscuit and 4 syns for the smaller ones. I'll set the kids on them in the morning. :)

Where did you hear this? I think the plain sausages are free but flavoured ones have syns but this could have changed. I still class the plain as free even if they now have syns, won't be many I hope :D.

Have survived Reception class assembly and didn't !!!! up the cd change over. I did get up at the wrong point to put on 2nd cd but luckily didn't press play, would have felt a right numpty if I had. So glad its the weekend now though :T.

    Food has been good again:
    B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5a] coffee
Snack - tomato. pineapple, strawbs, grapes, melon, activia
    L - 2x wm rolls [2xb], lemon curd [3], 2x cheese straws [4], toms, p/white [2.5]
Snack - pineapple, strawbs, grapes, melon, onken
T - [very late] cheesy smash [a], toms, onion, egg, beans, bbq sauce [1]
    Syns - 10.5

Tea was comfort food as very tired, need to recharge my batteries ready for sports practice monday and sports day wednesday [weather permitting], this is a frantic few weeks til end of school year. So much to fit in and not enough hours in the day :o.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

I have to accept that my weight has now stuck, I lose a lb I gain a lb, I don't even bother updating my signature anymore cos I will never get below what I am now! Its been going on for weeks, but in fairness my original target was 11stone, and I am happy I got there, and I enjoyed the food I had on the journey. I love being a size 14 now, every size 14 I try on in the shops fit, I would just like to feel happy in a swimming costume, but i think that will take exercise which Im not really doing at the mo. Anyhoo, food for today
    EE
    B: Cherries
L: HM veg soup (2 bowls) trying to fight of a stinker of a cold, with wm bread (HEB)
D: Tuna pasta bake with low low cheese (HEA) and loads of salad
    S: Strawberries & muller
half a mars easteregg (13) WAS VERY SCRUMMY!
    Highlights (2)

I wonder, is having all your syns at once (like above) is worse than having them spread out over the day???

No, the recipe changed and if your box/bag of sausages says "Best Ever" on it then it is the new ones and they are 1 syn each instead of free. :(

    Good morning!
WI for me and I've got rid of 2.5lbs this week, so only half a lb to go and I'll have got rid of the extra baggage I brought back from Singapore.
Green as usual for me today:
    Oats, berries and yog (B)
    Fruity snacks
beans on toast with cheese for lunch (A and B)
And for dinner... maybe a stir fry, or I might make some bean burgers and have them with sw chips.
And I may even have a beer while I'm watching Casualty for a Saturday night treat!!

    Have a lovely day everyone!
