Was told last week at group that 'Joe's sausages' which were the only certified ones, were no longer certified or syn free. Apparently they've been putting a whole load of carp in the sausages so they revoked it.

They've put up on their website that their certificate is still valid. SW are no longer issuing butchers with certificates, so when Joes expires in July they won't be able to get a new one. However the nutritional information is the same, and if you input them into the online calculator they say they are free.

They've not changed the ingredients at all! - http://www.facebook.com/joessausages/posts/219743554722254

Our group make a monthly order, I love them!

I can't remember who, but someone said they couldn't be bothered to weigh out oats in the morning. I've got a Tala cone from lakeland that has helpful measurements on the side - an ounce of oats and other things like sugar etc, as well as british and american cups. It's definitely been worth the money!
    !

Ooh this sounds good. It wasn't me who said about the oats but I could defo do with one of these. And I love lakeland...it's like kitchen p0rn :D :rotfl:
So is twinks recipe the one you are talking about?? As they came out at a whopping 7 or 8 syns each. I worked it out Unless you made them tiny.

I was hoping that someone had another recipe, there was a lot of margarine that went into them and I thought there might be a low fat alternative. :( I had to mae 130 of them last weekend.

I posted a link to flapjacks that are one of your HEB's last week, quite tasty. I think it's been added to the recipe thread.

I HATE MR T [not the one from A Team :p] had an order to be delivered earlier, just before due to arrive receive a phone call "Your order has been cancelled due to the driver having had an accident" ok no problem, asked if he was ok [all concerned like]. Arranged to go pick up said shopping from MrT near me. WELL they had no record of driver having accident, then couldn't find said shopping, then only found a couple of bags as it wasn't all together, finally found it all by which time hubby is spitting feathers and saying never going to shop here again. The delivery charge has been refunded and was sent a £10 evoucher 'to cover fuel costs picking up said shopping' Now how do I pay for fuel with an evoucher??
The annoying thing is the email I received said I HAD PHONED AND COMPLAINED which was why they refunded and sent evoucher. I SO DID NOT PHONE, THEY PHONED ME . Had trouble with them last week too, am so not shopping there again [well not after I use the £10 evoucher :rotfl:]. Ok rant over.

Bad day at school too, it rained and when it rains the roof leaks and did it leak? You bet it did, not just leak it flooded we were practically swimming :rotfl:so all hands on deck mopping up. Got wet walking home too so not a happy bunny :(.

Anyway food was fine, I even avoided the fabulous cakes in the staff room while all around me were eating them [polishes halo].

    B - weetabix hot water/milk [.5 a] coffee
    Snacks - apple
L - lo pasta bake [1.5a], toms, cheese twist [2], p/white [2.5], melon, grapes, strawbs, satsuma, pineapple, activia.
Snacks - pineapple, melon, satsuma, grapes, 2x apple, onken
T - cheesey mash , beans, onion, toms, egg, bbq sauce [1]
    Syns - 5.5
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

i am off to london this weekend which will be a challenge!

We are staying in a youth hostel ( cheapest accom we could find!) and i need ideas for breakfast for me and DD2! Normally I'm a porridge and a ton of fruit gal, but we are limited on what we can carry.

Has anyone got any ideas? I don't want to be succumbing to temptation...

  • Are Pom Bear crisps really 6.5syns??! They are only 95calories a pack so I would have guessed at 5syns?

Yep, thats what it said online anyway :o I think the 'best' ones are french fries at 4 syns (from memory) but they only had yucky wostershire (sp?) sauce flavour.

My 'dinner' yesterday ended up being ryvita and carrot sticks with 70g philly light at 10.30pm. So stayed on my 12 syns and got the HEs in there too :D

Can you take your porridge and use the kettle to make it? A little bag of oats wouldnt be hassle to carry. Or some of the HEB flapjacks, or bought cereal bars?
  • I'm in a STARVING mood today, probably down to the fact my running club session was pretty tough last night and I didnt get back in time to eat a proper dinner.

    Todays plan:

    B: 2 weetabix with milk
    S: huge apple already eaten
L: salad with chickpeas, sweetcorn, tomatoes, carrot
    D: probably pasta bake

No wonder you are hungry, it doesn't look like alot & IMO weetabix doesn't fill you up!

I had magic porridge this morning with 1/2 punnet strawbs & some frozen cherries & i am getting hungry now!

    Green day today

    B - Porridge (1/2heb) with ff vanilla onken & strawbs & cherries
    S - Alpen Light (3 or 1/2 heb)
    L - Baked bean lasagne
S - Pineapple, cherries, ff activia
D - Either takeaway (chinese) or lentil & butternut squash curry with added chickpeas & beanss with rice
S - Either another alpen light or a fibre plus - all depending on what we have for dinner! & I need to have 1 scan bran to make up brekkie heb - with ff cottage cheese & pepperdew peppers nom nom

Going to have a baking day tomorrow, going to try the flapjacks - but no oil & substitue honey for golden syrup as all i have in!

Also going to make some buns & cookies to bring into work on tues as i work on a construction site & we have to bring in cakes for our birthday! & i can't really afford to buy them from the shop!

Sunday will be a bad day SW wise as we have a birthday/fathers day party/buffet as my brothers birthday a day before mine! He turns 18 on Monday  makes me feel old :rotfl:

My nana is making cakes & bakewell tarts etc. etc. & i will have to try everything, possibly even twice or three times! :rotfl:

Needless to say i don't expect much from the scales on Monday!:o

Or the week after to be honest as i have a meal out with the girls on Thursday (menu http://www.blacktiles.co.uk/documents/menus/Black_Tiles_Menu.pdf doesn't look exactly SW friendly!)

Well done to all the losers :T

    Hope Dizzy is recovering nicely!
