It only says about 71g philly light (but doesn't include any of the flavours - so only plain) as an A choice on extra easy

But it does say 100g extra light philly as a B choice on green only

So I can't use extra light philly as an A choice? Oh I'm so annoyed now, went specifically for it and thought that surely the lower fat one would be better, but apparently not. :(

I can't have it as my B choice if I'm having it on my krispbreads ;) (which are the B choice)

I'm sure if you have 71g extra light philly you will be fine :D

L: batchelors pasta and sauce (0.5), breakaway (5)
    S: cherries

    Afternoon all!

I've had my first ever Fibre Plus bar today and it was scrummy - I am a convert!

I have also stuck to plan very well again today - pleased with my reversal in attitude, I seem to be back on board. I think sometimes you just have other focusses than losing weight - mine was my OH problems (that are not resolved but totally preoccupied me for a week or so). For anyone else that is/was struggling, the SW touch will come back - promise!

    Today's food has been... (green)
Breakfast - -Fibre plus bar (B choice)
Mid morning - stewed apple (B choice)
Lunch - pasta, 1 tsp pesto stirred in (1.5 syns), raspberries
    Extra - 1 custard cream (3 syns)

Tea will be something filling and yummy that doesn't involve much cooking (can't be bothered with the faff today) - probably SW wedges, quorn sausages, beans (all syn free) and maybe a frozen muller later on (must pop one in the freezer pronto!)

So that's 2 B choices and 4.5 syns so far.

Hope Dizzy is doing OK - must be quite scary?

    S: Pom bear crisps (6.5)

Are Pom Bear crisps really 6.5syns??! They are only 95calories a pack so I would have guessed at 5syns?

    Evening all

I ended up having 2 scoops of ice cream at cinema last night rather than popcorn, so was within my syns for the day :)

    Green day for me:

B - oats (HEB), FF yog
L - jacket spud, cheese (HEA), coleslaw (7syns)
    D -
Snacks - banana, pear, plum, 2 x new potatos,
Drinks - water, squash, coffee (milk = HEA), fruit tea

    Total syns - 7

I can't decide what to have for tea yet. I have LO spaghetti but no sauce, veg I could stirfry, or could just have egg n beans on toast! I'll update later

Oh my, how exciting! The very best of luck Dizzy and look forward to seeing you back soon. Perhaps you'll have to trade in the tank for something with a quieter engine when you come back :rotfl:

[ I know that SW is the best way to lose weight successfully and almost everyone on this thread would agree,

Whilst I agree that SW has it's benefits, it is still a company that has products to sell, and thus, it's own agenda. So, to say that SW is the best way the loose weight is a bit of an overstatement.

I've had overweight clients that have tried and failed with SW/WW and the like, and once introduced to simple healthy eating - without associating food as syns/points/days/colours etc, but with the emphasis on balance, nutrition and exercise - have been successful with their weight management.

Anyone, or any company, that has their own agenda and something to sell, rather than just give advice is never going to be impartial.

Anything that helps people control their weight has to be applauded, but SW doesn't work for everyone.[/QUOTE]

:rotfl: Well I did say 'almost everyone', you obviously don't agree as is your prerogative.

Food Optimising is a healthy eating plan and the word 'syns' is used instead of saying 'treats'. If you read the books you will find the emphasis is still on nutrition and exercise. I'm afraid I have to disagree with you on one point....SW would work for everyone if they followed the plan.

As you can see, I'm biased. I have tried every slimming plan there is over my lifetime and the only one I have been able to follow easily is the one where I'm encouraged not to feel guilt if I go off the rails for a day (or two or more). Our group was supportive and fun which IMO helps enormously when you're tackling something as difficult and emotionally charged as a weight problem can be.

However, I'm not about to argue. I will change my post to show that it's my opinion only - though I'd imagine that most of the posters on this thread would agree, otherwise why are they here?;)

Good luck Dizzy, hope all goes ok and you're back with us soon. I know the tank will be on auto pilot til you get back.

Pombears - my 08/09 food directory says 25g bag 6.5. If bag size is different they could be lower aslo if they've changed the recipe since my book could also alter syn value.

Well done woot half a stone in a week [makes you sick don't it lol].

Consultant I whole heartedly agree with you, have never been able to stick to other 'diets' but am at target with SW and still stick with it now [mostly ;-)].
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
