I've been a bit better behaved today.

    B: 2 Weetabix & skimmed milk (hea & heb)
    S: Grapefruit
L: 2 ryvitas & extra light philly (half hea & heb)
D: Mushy pea curry & SW chips
S: Will have the other two ryvitas and philly (half hea & heb)

So, a green day with no syns (unless I eat some of my fake rochers again) and two hea and heb's.

    Hello
I'm all headachey today, but have had a mostly good day, which was green:
    oats, berries, yog (B)
3x ryvitas with babybel lights (A and B)
    milk in tea (A)
    apricots, cherries, apple, banana, grapefruit
dinner is 3 bean chilli and rice
I've also had an additional 3x ryvita with babybel lights, so either 3 As and Bs today or I can syn them, as I'm not planning on anything else as I want to go to bed early. Either way, I'm not going to worry about it!

I can't remember who, but someone said they couldn't be bothered to weigh out oats in the morning. I've got a Tala cone from lakeland that has helpful measurements on the side - an ounce of oats and other things like sugar etc, as well as british and american cups. It's definitely been worth the money!

The weekend's nearly here, thank goodness! Have a lovely evening everyone!

Hello, been MIA a few days what with one thing and another (one thing being poorly old cat starts trying to pull me out of bed around 4am when the birds start singing - not that he can hear them as he's deaf) so I am nearly dead on my feet by the time I get home at night. I've read most of the posts though, and well done to all of you for getting back/staying on the straight and narrow.

I imagine Dizzy's had the op now? Oooooh I hope she is ok and can hear and the dizziness sorts itself out. Who IS driving the tank? I need to stay up front as I put a pound ON again this week - since I reset my lower target I have gone UP. Have I already told you that? Can't remember.

A quick tea, for whoever was saying back there .... I have a 30 - 40 minute trip to get home but generally have salad in. A bag of mixed leaves will do for 4 days without going off, some cucumber, beetroot, spring onions, capers, radish, whatever else you like plus perhaps smoked salmon, smoked mackerel (minimal syns), warm eggs is what I had today .... heat up a Co-op or Asda wholemeal pitta in the microwave, when it swells up grab it out and cut it in half acrossways leaving two little pockets to stuff with the salady stuff. It's fabulous and feels like a meal because there's warm bits in it. If you were to chop some potatoes small and quickly cook them too, they're nice mixed in. You don't even need dressing with all that lot. Not on the salad. You might want to be dressed yourself but it's your choice.

Bluemonkey I am confused. I used the "search this thread" facility at the top of the page and on 10th June you said you had been making "Twinks hob nobs" so you must have the recipe

Unless you got it from the Minimins site, or from our own Recipe thread - there's a link to that in Consultant's very first post on this thread.

Good Luck Dizzy - come back soon!

Has anyone been buying SW certificated sausages ie bangers that are syn free?

I went in search of some last Friday in Yeovil and found what I thought was the right butcher, but could see no certificate. I enquired and he told me that these SW certificates had been "done away with".

Not sure what has gone on, but he was selling the same sausages, (97% prime pork) labelled "good for slimmers". I bought some and they are in my freezer, so I am yet to try them.

The butcher also told me that it was at great expense that butchers obtained the SW certificates, having to pay £300 for the privilege and also to cover the cost of sending each type of sausage to the SW laboratory for testing. He said that many butchers were selling "slimmers sausages" that they had not got certificates for and that it was not worth the cost anymore.

Does anyone know what the story is on this one?

I hope I can eat those sausages syn free!

Was told last week at group that 'Joe's sausages' which were the only certified ones, were no longer certified or syn free. Apparently they've been putting a whole load of carp in the sausages so they revoked it.

Tescos light choices sausages are really nice and are only 1 syn each.

Hope the op went well for you Dizzy x

Well done all you loosers :T

My WI was tonight, and miraculously I have lost 2.5 lbs :j

Decided to go green today, and menu has been like this

S: satsuma, velvet crunch (4), cadburys highlights (2)
L: couscous with roasted onions, peppers, courgette & tomatoes. 3 pagan rolls (HEB 2) with 2 ex light laughing cow (part HEA 1), satsuma
    S: alpen light(.5 HEB 1)
D: huge jacket potato, lf cheese (HEA 2), beans, large salad. skinny cow lolly (3.5)

So is twinks recipe the one you are talking about?? As they came out at a whopping 7 or 8 syns each. I worked it out Unless you made them tiny.

I was hoping that someone had another recipe, there was a lot of margarine that went into them and I thought there might be a low fat alternative. :( I had to mae 130 of them last weekend.

Well done to all with the losses

I don't know, I have never made a hob nob! As you were asking for "the hob nob recipe" I just wandered off to look for one.
