[ I know that SW is the best way to lose weight successfully and almost everyone on this thread would agree, [/QUOTE]

Whilst I agree that SW has it's benefits, it is still a company that has products to sell, and thus, it's own agenda. So, to say that SW is the best way the loose weight is a bit of an overstatement.

I've had overweight clients that have tried and failed with SW/WW and the like, and once introduced to simple healthy eating - without associating food as syns/points/days/colours etc, but with the emphasis on balance, nutrition and exercise - have been successful with their weight management.

Anyone, or any company, that has their own agenda and something to sell, rather than just give advice is never going to be impartial.

Anything that helps people control their weight has to be applauded, but SW doesn't work for everyone.

Best of Luck Dizzy :) We'll all keep your tank on the straight and narrow for you ;)

FInished yesterday on 6 syns :D I had a humungus pile of SW chips, egg, beans and mushrooms for my tea seeing as how I was like a drowned rat by the time I got home  Monsoon rain started as soon as I left work, trailed across town where the pavements were like rivers, train was delayed and then, the icing on the cake.......OH fell asleep and wasn't at the station to pick me up :mad::mad: *I will get my own back*

    Today's plan
    B: polenta, eggs, ketchup (1)
    S: yoghurt, banana
L: salad, quorn fillet, balsamic dressing (1)
    S: orange, mango
D: Might have egg florentine or pasta with pesto and spinach

As always I'll save my HE's for supper :D

*drumroll* First WI today, and I have lost..... 3lb! It's better than I thought after I peeked on the scales yesterday.

Hope all goes well with the op, Dizzy - not long before your identity is revealed as the Bionic Woman..

Still in awe of the fact that I am eating like a horse - all good food tho - I'll be amazed if the scales say I have lost anything. Am trying to drink more water - of course am running to the loo more often - not a bad thing in work, as it's up two flights of stairs, so if nothing else, I'll have a cracking pair of calf muscles...

Whilst I am still getting to grips with the plan, grateful if someone could give me a yay or a nay for today's menu:

    B Weetabix - dry - Strawbs
S Muller Light - raspberries - half round of toast
L Will be couscous, onions, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes - followed by more berries
D Will be stir fry vegetables and chicken and noodles

Will have some syns to use - so ryvita seems like a good way to go (like the black pepper ones - tasty with tomatoes, plus makes me drink loads more water)

Weigh in tomorrow morning - toes, fingers even hair crossed.............

Good Luck Dizzy - come back soon!

Has anyone been buying SW certificated sausages ie bangers that are syn free?

I went in search of some last Friday in Yeovil and found what I thought was the right butcher, but could see no certificate. I enquired and he told me that these SW certificates had been "done away with".

Not sure what has gone on, but he was selling the same sausages, (97% prime pork) labelled "good for slimmers". I bought some and they are in my freezer, so I am yet to try them.

The butcher also told me that it was at great expense that butchers obtained the SW certificates, having to pay £300 for the privilege and also to cover the cost of sending each type of sausage to the SW laboratory for testing. He said that many butchers were selling "slimmers sausages" that they had not got certificates for and that it was not worth the cost anymore.

Does anyone know what the story is on this one?

I hope I can eat those sausages syn free!

Tip for your Weetabix if you don't want to use your milk allowance, soften with a little water & use ff yog nom nom

Little confused with your menu - was it 1 weetabix or 2? Also was the round of toast wholemeal bread? From what size loaf?

You don't have a healthy extra A i.e. milk or cheese, so you could of had milk with weetabix or cheese with your ryvita, just make sure you measure it!

    HTH

Well done Woot, good going, the rest of the 24lb will be gone in no time!

Good Luck Dizzy - you must be excited!

    Green day for me again

    B - ff yog & strawbs
    S - Cherries
L - Pasta with lentil, tom, courgette, mushroom, sweetcorn, beans
S - Left over SW wedges & quorn saus
D - Not sure - possibly cauliflower soup - might put some extra light laughing cow triangles (hea) to give more kick, served with 5 scan bran (heb)
S - Milk in coffee (hea), 2 alpen light or ryvita minis (heb)

In the way of syns - i ideally want to keep to a minimum as 17 on tues and 14.5 on wed - but have so many options - especially as brought some caramel ice-cream pots from Mr T which i believe are about 8 syns - or i can have some velvet crunch or chocolate, decisions decisions!

Goodf luck for WIs tonight! & Well done to all losers!
