I've done SW many times of the years and decided 3 weeks ago enough is enough and started back to class. I decided to give Extra Easy a go having only ever done green or red and found it really good. I followed the plan exactly stayed within 5 - 10 syns each day and first WI gained 1/2 lb :mad::mad: - I was fuming!!! 2nd week i emailed my consultant each day and again followed it exactly - she said my food diary was good and i lost 2lb at WI. Now I am normally used to losing at least 6lbs at this point so i am not sure what is going wrong? I am due to WI tomorrow night and i honestly feel like a beached whale. Its star week and I am really afraid to WI now because I know I will be so disheartened
Did anyone else experience a gain 1st week? I am trying so hard and yet I really don't feel like its working as well as it did previously!!
I can't explain your gain, perhaps it is fluid retention due to a change of diet and regime - in which case I would strongly advise (and this goes for everyone) drinking more water to keep your body hydrated.
As for the plan - if you find Green and Red easier is there any reason you're not doing that instead?
A word of advice though - don't judge your current weight loss solely on what you have previously lost. There are countless things that can influence weight loss and weight gain. Of course, the primary thing is your diet but don't discount external factors. Try it for another few weeks and see where you get. Don't be afraid of going and gaining - everyone has been there at some point and had expected/unexpected gains. Nobody at group will judge you since they all will have gained at some point! And think about it balancing out - all the unexpected losses and how good they feel!Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.

Thank you Wootball for your advice
I am going to stick to it I have to! I've always given up too easily in the past.
I decided to give EE a go as I work shifts and i find it much easier to do. I also have 2 little boys and I have a little business I run from home so I am really busy and it makes meal times easier for me.
I really think i need to drink more water so I will make a conscious effort with that and see if that makes the difference!
I think I am frustrated in general as there are 2 girls in class who lose loads every week. One had her 6 stone award last week (lost it all since Sept:eek:) and another has lost 4 1/2 stone since Feb. I think I may be taking the scenic route lolLittle Miss Chatterbox

Feeling a bit rubbish about SW at the moment. This is my first week and I sneakily weighed myself last night (WI isn't until tomorrow) and have only lost 0.6 lbs, my OH is doing it too and has lost 7lbs! I've been following it religiously while he has had a couple off days.
I've been feeling very bloated and horrible the past couple of days and wondering if TOTM is coming, does this make people heavier? Or am I just completely rubbish?Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -
Evening all
Green day for me:
B - shreddies (HEB), skimmed milk (HEA)
L - couscous, salad
D - HM SF pasta sauce, spaghetti, cheese (HEA and HEB)
Snacks - banana, plum
Drinks - coffee, water, squash, diet coke.
Total syns = 0.
Well not quite no syns, I'm going to cinema later and will have a few handfuls of sweet popcorn. Not got my book so not sure what the syns will be but I should be within the 15

Hi
Can anyone tell me if the low fat hogs 'brook vale' from aldi are free on sw?
Thanks
I prefer the sound of 'low fat hogs' to the yogs lol, I'd love a low fat hog roast with all the trimmings mmmmLilo_Chops wrote: »Morning Folks
Still feel like I am eating too much for this too work, though..........the numbers on the scales on Friday should be the proof! Does anyone else feel this way? Feel like a bit of a fraud to be honest......
Have a good day y'all
We ALL thought this at the start and it does take a few weeks to get into your head that it does work, the more you eat [within reason] the more weight you lose 'simples' :rotfl:Feeling a bit rubbish about SW at the moment. Blokes lose much quicker than us 'ladies', sickening I know but thems the facts :rotfl:. Also yes * week can [and does for some] make you heavier. So keep the faith and I'm sure you'll notice a difference next week :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Menu looks ok, personally if I can have 2 HEas then I do try to have them, us ladies need all the calcium we can get. Also even though I mainly do green I do try and have more superfrees included in meals, I know you don't 'need' to, to follow the plan but it makes more sense and will help with weight loss. And of course as Woot says drink more water [not that I do - slaps wrist].
Good luck and keep the faith xIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

hi everyone
I need some motivation to get back into SW. I lost 2lb short of 7 stone 3 years ago and then became a consultant. I struggled to maintain my weight loss whilst helping others but got positive results from my members. I decided to give it up for personal reasons and the weight really piled on. I changed jobs twice and tried going back to class twice, even attending classes elsewhere but it's hard as everyone knows me and to be honest i don't feel i get treated the same now as i did when i was just a member.
The class i have been attending is nowhere near the quality of the one I attended 3 and a half years back. Lovely woman but a lot of the members get no motivation and give up. I have had people ringing me for help or my opinion but I gave it up consulting nearly 2 years ago.
Anyway, having put on over 2 st I have tried doing it myself but struggle after about 10 days. I really don't know what to do. I KNOW how to do it but my current job is a sit down job and very stressful, even though i love it. By the time i get home i am too knackered to do much, as i have a 40 minute drive home each night. I know I make and am making excuses but after giving myself a good talking too every few weeks all my good intentions go out of the window again :-(0 -

Oh, where do you live? I guess you're right, at least I'm going in the right direction, just very slowly!TakeItEazy wrote: »Blokes lose much quicker than us 'ladies', sickening I know but thems the facts :rotfl:.
