wi last night and lost 3.5lbs!!! still thinking of what to eat today.............................Make the most of each day, live life with no regrets:j

Well, it's been a whopping 2 days and I do not even feel any better. Quite bloated and horrible to be honest, I am not sure what I was expecting, but maybe I am just not feel very well at the moment.
I see that people have posted what they are eating but they have only posted meals really - my question is, can you actually graze on stuff like Ham and seafood sticks during the day and lose weight if you only have 14lb to lose?
I am allergic to a lot of fruits and (trust me) there are only so many strawberries and raspberries you can eat before a) it breaks the bank and b) getting sick of them. I spent £6 on 2 punnets of strawberries and one raspberries yesterday and I do not want to eat them all in one day as I cannot afford to spend £42 a week on soft fruits (and that is at half price!).
I've not posted what I have eaten each day but I can if that helps.0 -
May I pick everyone's brains about SW chips/wedges?
Mine can be a bit hit and miss but I think that maybe because oven temperature varies depending on what else I'm cooking at the same time.
Does everyone parboil and for how long? What about with sweet potatoes? I read somewhere about microwaving a whole potato and then cutting it into wedges. Does anyone do that?
All advice welcome:) I'm off to start dinner otherwise I'll be having a chips and egg snack!
I never used to parboil them but now I cut them nice and thin, parboil for about 4 or 5 mins then put on a tray, spray with frylight then bake in a nice hot oven. I use one of those trays with holes in. I like them! It's the cocktails as well as the guacamole
We went to a gourmet resort, the food they were serving for free was insane, the kind of stuff I have happily paid hundreds for in this country - and we worked out that since May 17th there has only been one day where I wasn't drinking. That's the biggest issue - 9 or 10 pints a day for two weeks...
Congrats woot (& mrs woot!)!!! That hotel sounds FAB!!! WOuld you like to share with us which one it was? Was it buffet style food?
I spent last night making 34 cupcakes! I had one without the icing to check the cake bit was ok but that's all! i've brought some to work today (there's not enough for me!) and the rest are for my friend's birthday party tonight. Tongiht will be flexi as I don't know what food we'll be having but I do know we're having wine!
I'm starting with a green day:
Brekkie - porridge (HEA&B), banana, grapefruit
Lunch - leftover pasta
Tea - ???? but will include cake and wine!!0 -

sorry your feeling rough , i will wait for someone more experienced to answer your question (i snack on fruit or use syns)but wanted to reassure you it does work i am eating more than i ever did its just stuff thats better for you . I think once you lose a bit you will feel reassured about the plans effectiveness honest ...i am in my 4th week and have lost 11lb :T....but i do have 3st to lose:o
re the soft fruit i think you can use frozen berries which are nice added to yoghurt but i empathise about the cost . I dont care what anyone says all the fresh veg i am buying is pushing up my grocery bill and i grow a lot of my fresh stuff . I have found a pick your own not far away where strawbs are 80p lb so off tomorrow to stock up
keep it up

blue_monkey - am on 3rd day and feeling rough as well. Have had a headache for 2 days and hoping that its just my body adjusting to healthy food. I know from previous experience that it should go over the next few days.
Am with you others on the cost of fruit, its costing me a fortune but it will be it.0 -
isn't is sad when you have to question wether or not you can afford to eat healthly. really short tempered and grumpy today can some one give me a kick up the harris and tell me to cheer up pleaseMake the most of each day, live life with no regrets:j

Sorry to hear some people are feeling bad. I would say stick with it for a week and reassess then. I have no idea what you used to eat before, but it's possible you are suffering a sugar withdrawal or something like that. There are a massive amount of varied and healthy foods you can eat on SW, so focus on getting a wide range and hopefully your bodIes should adjust quickly.0
