I mix soy, ginger (or 5 spice or both), garlic (chopped or the jar stuff) and a sliced chilli plus a little bit of stock if I need more liquid. Use that as a marinade for the thinly sliced beef. Fish out the beef and start to fry then add the veg and remaining marinade. It's very tasty and absolutely free!! I serve it with Batchelors Golden Rice which is yummy but any plain rice or noodles are good too.

Drea, unless you've thickened the sauce with cornflour or similar then your stock should be free too.

Ohh I didn't realise stock was free! Even better :)

Dizzikins, is that a new avatar? Is it you? I wish I could enlarge it I can't see it very well but you are LOOKING GOOD! if tiny.
so I've skimmed just the one at the mo and the first thing I saw was Dizzy's new avatar and was peering at it thinking just the same as you :rotfl::rotfl:

I hope there's an outside seat left on the tank as I shall be joining it at the next stop.

:o Its a pretty recent one .....but not great as I think Mr Dizzy snapped me scowling instead of smiling LMAO (its hard to tell on a tiny phone screen) But thankyou for saying I look smaller :D :j

I went to Dr today re my vertigo as I still have it 5months on :( said not much he can do but will refer me to ENT for further investigations. But he said I still can't do proper exercise :( sucks

At least the Doc is referring you now hun.... I know the vertigo is awful :( but you'll be going to the right place where they have some knowlege of the condition & possible causes/effective treatment. Good luck, & I hope they don't keep you waiting too long x

Nickynoo I'm sorry to hear about your home situation :( Big hugs & I hope things go as smoothly as they can for you.....Just look after yourself & we're all here for you If you feel your having a stressy day :A
  • Hoorah! managed to get wifi to work on my uni course :D:D:D

So far so good with sticking to plan. Started the day with fruit and yoghurt as I was up to late to have an omelette (number 2 issues throughout night due to the change in eating I suspect :o).

Mornign break all I could smell was the heavenly scent of freshly cooked shortbread but I resisted and had a banana instead and tried to convince myself it was just as tasty. The the mars bars came out so I made yet another cup of tea :p.

Lunch was my only downfall. I resisted the sandwiches and enjoyed my salad and couscous but three potato wedges just jumped off my friends plate and into my mouth. I don't yet fully understand how this happened :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:. I did then have some grapes and strawberries to repair the damage :D.

Off out to the pub tonight but have remembered that last month I shared a bottle of wine with someone and it's my turn to pay for a bottle this month so looks like I will be drinking. I am still determined to say no to pud though .

Incidently, Yoo yoghurt are 2syns according to the magazine. As they are not much different to mullerlights I don't think I will bother buying them again.

Well I'm in a wonderful mood today.......we have managed to book our holiday at last (its been a pain as I can't do anything until at least 12 weeks after the skull graft) so we were looking for November time, allowing for 'just in case' it took longer to heal or there were any probs.

Anyway..... were off to Cuba on 6th Nov for 3 weeks including a 3 day stay in Havana :j :D can't wait I'm soooo excited, done lots of research re the hotel and its nice and flat for me with my dodgy walking.

All I need to do now is get my Aris into gear with my losses & get to target  .....I WILL NOT HAVE ANOTHER FAT HOLIDAY :p

Dizzy - exciting news about the holiday, would love to go to Cuba but OH against it. Great to have something to work towered and something to look forward to after the op.

Got my first zumba class tonight, paid for 4 classes to make me go - fingers crossed don't look like to much of an idiot as I have no co-ordination and don't know my left from my right :rotfl:

Dizzy - my mate has just comeback from Cuba and has had a brilliant time

I've just been baking :doh:My turn to take cakes to Friday's meeting! Triple chocolate muffins cooked, cooled and in the freezer all intact and I didn't even lick the bowl :rotfl:

I made some 1syn cupcakes from a Minimins recipe for myself........the jury is still out on the taste  It was supposed to make 16 cupcakes but I got 24 and they're decent sized, I haven't iced them yet so they might taste a little less synthetic if they have icing on but they'll have to go in the freezer coz I'm a monster even with cake I'm not keen on!:EasterBun and I have to stay firmly on the tank coz I don't want lines off Miss D :rotfl:
