Thanks consultant for your words of wisdom. I'm feeling very good today, the bloating has all gone and with it the feeling angry with myself. Your holiday sounds great and with free wine too! I'm off next week and plan to enjoy myself and sort it out when I get back! How long do you think that 8lbs will take you to shift?
Ah well, that's a question and a half :rotfl:
If I stick to plan and behave myself I'd expect if off in 2 or 3 weeks, but I'm away for a few days again the week after next at a Warner's place with my Mum so they'll be throwing lots of temptation in my path again.
I do try, but I'm sorry to say I'm one of those people who say "I've paid for it, I'm having it" which really doesn't help............:rotfl::rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I'm usually ready to chew the leg off the table by the time I get in though. Has anyone got any tips for avoiding the 'I'm so hungry I'm just going to reach into the fridge and eat everything in sight' feeling that I seem to face every evening?
A slow-cooker - the best thing I ever bought for just that reason. Throw everything in before you go to work and come home to find it smelling delicious as you walk through the door. Five minutes and it's on a plate and ready to be eatenI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Thanks for everyones support i really appreciate it. Things seem a little easier today but dont feel like i can move on till he moves out in a few weeks. Feel a bit lost thb i just want him gone and everything out so we can have a fresh start. Again food has been a little non-existent today just nibbling on bits to keep my energy up. Got my tesco delivery coming now-ish with loads of sw goodies so hopefully i'll be feeling more like myself soon so i can get back on plan.£387.39/£196.46

That's a great idea if you want your meal quickly. For a snack (other than attacking jar of pickled beetroot with a spoon:rotfl:), I like to chop up an apple and put it in a bowl with a couple of large tablespoons of cottage cheese. Stir it up and eat it with a teaspoon. I find you have to take it slowly to chew the apple, far nicer and more satisfying than just munching on an apple.0 -

Thanks for that, it does help to hear that others have the same issues. The reason I've been so slow getting my last few pounds to target is going away before Easter, at Easter and a few weekends/days out since. Then there's my holiday next week for 10 days. I have a lovely life but a straight run at SW would be so much quicker! I suppose the scenic route was invented for the likes of me.:o
EE today:
B: NAS squash, HEB toast, HEA milk in teas, 2 boiled eggs, satsuma
L: ham & tomato sandwich, asparagus/mushrooms and tomato sauteed.wise choice (I hope) at pub but will definitely include a few wine syns

You know, I'm quite enjoying this cooking healthy food thing... I'm not usually one for cooking from scratch.
I have a chicken casserole (only syns being the chicken stock - however many that may be) bubbling away in the slow cooker and I have just whizzed up some HM houmous (not quite as tasty as shop bought) which is settling in the fridge. Think I'll treat myself to a bit of yesterdays lasagne
Just because you made a mistake doesn't mean you are a mistake.0 -

I mix soy, ginger (or 5 spice or both), garlic (chopped or the jar stuff) and a sliced chilli plus a little bit of stock if I need more liquid. Use that as a marinade for the thinly sliced beef. Fish out the beef and start to fry then add the veg and remaining marinade. It's very tasty and absolutely free!! I serve it with Batchelors Golden Rice which is yummy but any plain rice or noodles are good too.
Drea, unless you've thickened the sauce with cornflour or similar then your stock should be free too.0
