Dizzikins, is that a new avatar? Is it you? I wish I could enlarge it I can't see it very well but you are LOOKING GOOD! if tiny.
Back from my hols and there are sooo many pages I'll be off on the next one before I read it allso I've skimmed just the one at the mo and the first thing I saw was Dizzy's new avatar and was peering at it thinking just the same as you :rotfl::rotfl:
So sorry to hear about your break-up Nickynoo, but it sounds as if you know what you're doing. The children will be fine as long as things remain on a friendly footing I think, I hope so anyway
There are so many new names on here, I feel like a strangerthough one 'old' name jumped out at me.....MrsM congratulations on your latest award, you continue to amaze and inspire, well done!
Well, my venture to foreign parts was a 2 week cruise of the Baltics and Fjords and I have come back with an extra 8lbs of luggage which I can't blame on my souvenirs, so I hope there's an outside seat left on the tank as I shall be joining it at the next stop.
It wasn't the food to blame but the drink - and this from someone who only has a couple of glasses of Lambrini at Christmas :rotfl:We were lucky enough to get a free drinks package for booking early which was meant to be a glass of wine/beer/soft drink at lunch and another at dinner. Whether they made a mistake or what I don't know but we were given a bottle of red and a bottle of white at dinner each night which it would have been rude to leave. So, here I am, fighting the good fight and hoping for inspiration from y'allI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Phew! Just got back from a new zumba class. I've been doing zumba for five months and love it but a new one has opened near me so I thought I'd give it a go. Great class but was slightly annoyed at the instructor who congratulated me five times on my moves and no one else. Believe me, others were doing better. I can only think that she was amazed a woman of my size hadn't keeled over after the warm up!
Ohh well, some more body magic won't do any harm

Nicky - hope you're doing OK? I know how you feel - deep down you know you should do something about it but it takes lots of guts to do it. I'm sure it will work out in the end even if its uncomfortable and difficult now. Have a hug (((( ))))
Mrs M - well done on resisting the demons. Its probably a subconscious insecurity thing - maybe you're not quite used to your new body yet and are a teeny bit scared of it and what it means to your life? Oh, ignore my psycho babble - I watch too much American telly!:p
Anyway, today hasn't been too bad....
Breakfast - Hifi bar (B choice)
Lunch - free leftover pasta bake(contains tomatoes, mushrooms and onion) (all gone at last!), raspberries, satsuma
Tea - mexican bake (contains passata, tomato, red onion and red pepper) (free apart from the cheese on top, A choice x2)
Extras - 3 quality street type sweets (7.5 syns)
I may have a mullerlight later or some strawberries (or both!):rotfl:
It's WI day tomorrow, only a lb or two from target but don't think I'll get the fanfare tomorrow, maybe next week.0 -
My gripe is that while I can see that SW is a healthy eating plan it does disappoint me that it seems so finely balanced that just a small deviation into 'normal life' can cause a weight gain. All I've done yesterday and today (over allowed syns) is eat a sandwich with focaccia rather than SW bread, some oil in a marinade, a few crisps (about 6), a tiny canape size meat pie, and an extra wholemeal roll with spread on it and I feel FAT!!! Now I know the official line is count it as a flexi and get back on the wagon (and that's what I'll do) but it's so disheartening that just eating slightly off plan makes me feel so bad cos I've wasted a week!
Please don't be down-hearted. It's not finely balanced at all I don't think, it's a really 'normal' healthy eating plan. Once you've become used to eating lots of fruit and veg, fibrous bread etc your body can react quite strongly to what we might term 'junk food'. White bread, pastry, crisps etc are all the kind of food that holds water in some people so you will almost certainly lose that fat feeling within 24 hours as you go back to the plan properly.
You haven't wasted any time at all - you have a life to live which is only partly about losing weight. Take this in your stride and move on. What it may have taught you is that some foods disagree with your system so try to avoid them in the futureI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Nothing like using those flexi syns - lets hope tomorrow runs a little smoother! So annoyed with myself - tonights jog will have been in vain but all things positive - I will get there and will be slim but sometimes life just gets in the way! Thank goodness for flexi syns although think I may have gone into next months with the caramel slice1 stone 12bs lost .... :jOnly another 58lb to go to interim target

Well today I saw a Dyno-rod van - which helpfully informed me that Dynorod is now part of the british Gas group!
How appropriate!

Sending you a big :grouphug:nickynoo, it's hard now but if it's what you want it will sort itself in the end and just think it'll be the new, slim you moving forward.
Thanks consultant for your words of wisdom. I'm feeling very good today, the bloating has all gone and with it the feeling angry with myself. Your holiday sounds great and with free wine too! I'm off next week and plan to enjoy myself and sort it out when I get back! How long do you think that 8lbs will take you to shift?
flutterbyuk, that pub of yours sounds brilliant: a chef that uses spray oil! Which one is it? I must pay them a visit next time I'm down your way.
I've had a very good on-plan day, finishing with a tin of sardines and a load of pickled beetroot as I felt peckish late on. Out for a meal tomorrow night but will have a good day and hope I can make good choices. Don't know where we're eating, friends choosing, but I know it's too far to go to Swansea.;)0
